Craft spirits producer Philadelphia Distilling has released a new flavored whiskey offering, XXX Shine Salted Caramel Whiskey. Rolling out nationwide this month, XXX Shine Salted Caramel is made with American corn and triple-distilled, blending sweet, buttery notes with the flavor of sea salt. The 80-proof offering is priced around $25 a 750-ml. Founded in 2005, Philadelphia Distilling bills itself as the first craft distillery to open in Pennsylvania since Prohibition. In addition to XXX Shine Salted Caramel, the company also produces the Penn 1681 rye vodka, Bluecoat American dry gin and Vieux Carré absinthe brands.
