The Heritage Kentucky Distillery Debuts the 18th Edition of the Annual Release, Showcasing a Masterful Blend of Three Bourbon Recipes

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky., Aug. 19, 2025 - Today, Four Roses Distillery announced the release of its highly anticipated 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon, a standout expression from the award-winning Kentucky bourbon maker, releasing September 3^rd. This marks the 18^th edition in the annual series, featuring a unique blend of three bourbon recipes and four different batches, bottled at barrel strength.

Non-chill filtered and bottled at 109 proof, the 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon features four hand-selected batches aged 13 and 19 years. Chosen from Four Roses' 10 distinct bourbon recipes, this year's limited edition blend is composed of a 13-year-old bourbon from the OBSV recipe, a 13-year-old OBSK, a 13-year-old OESV, and a 19-year-old OESV.

"Year after year, we look to create a unique expression that highlights the best of what our ten recipes can offer," said Brent Elliott, Four Roses Master Distiller. "When blending this year's release, I was drawn to the 13-year-old V batches that showcase pronounced delicate fruit and sweet barrel tones. Although these barrels can really shine on their own, the OBSK brought in a complexity that I think people will really enjoy. The addition of the 19-year-old OBSV also adds another layer of depth and aged character that rounds out the blend beautifully."

The recipes selected for the 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch result in notes of sweet apricot, vanilla, caramel, black tea leaves, hints of rye, and mellow oak on the nose, followed by flavors of apricot, hints of citrus, crème brûlée, and antique spiced oak on the palate, with those same flavors lingering in a very soft and long finish.

This year, Four Roses will release approximately 16,854 bottles of its 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch at a suggested retail price of $249. They will be available at select retailers nationwide and through the distillery's bottle drawing, which will accept entries from August 19 to 24. Winners of the bottle drawing will be selected at random and notified on August 29 for a chance to purchase and pick up their bottle at the Distillery Visitor Center in Lawrenceburg, KY, in September. The bourbon barrel aged honey was crafted in partnership with Bohman Bee Company, specialists in creating local raw honey. Once sourced, the honey was then aged in ex-Four Roses barrels that once aged its Small Batch bourbon. The barrels were freshly dumped and never rinsed to fully impart the richest essence of bourbon. The end result is a honey with tasting notes of ripened red berries and dried spices, perfect for drizzling on freshly made pizza and a sweetener in summer cocktails.

1.5 oz Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
2 oz iced tea
0.75 oz Ooni & Four Roses Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey
0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
3-4 pineapple pieces

To create OSMO x Four Roses Toasted Vanilla Bourbon Salt, clay-based red sea salt was harvested from between Hawaiian lava rocks, and then purified to give it its vibrant red color before allotting the salt time to breathe for optimal full flavor absorption. Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon was then poured over the crystals, which evaporates naturally once a combination of solar light and wind is applied. This process allows the bourbon and the salt to maintain their natural compositions. The result is a full body infused flavor that maintains the integrity of both the natural salt and Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon.

Bloody Bourbon

2 oz Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
3 ounces of bloody mary mix
Squeeze of lemon and lime juice
OSMO x Four Roses Toasted Vanilla Bourbon Salt
Olives, celery, lime and lemon wedge (garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place all ingredients into a mixing tin. Roll cocktail back and forth to mix and chill
2. Salt rim of glass with OSMO x Four Roses Toasted Vanilla Bourbon Salt
3. Pour cocktail into tall glass
4. Garnish

Twisted Sour

1 ½ oz Four Roses Small Batch
½ Crème de Cacao
¾ lemon juice
½ oz brown sugar syrup
3-4 muddled raspberries

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine all ingredients into shaker tin.
2. Add ice and shake.
3. Rim glass with OSMO x Four Roses Toasted Vanilla Bourbon Salt
4. Double strain over fresh ice into rimmed rocks glass
