LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 25, 2023 - As Michter's continues to face inventory constraints due to strong demand, the company is taking steps to expand capacity responsibly. In recent years, Michter's has grown fermentation capacity by adding six 18,000-gallon fermenters made by Louisville-based Vendome Copper & Brass Works. In late 2022, Michter's transitioned its core Shively distillery to a 24/7 operation. Additionally, Michter's has made significant investments in its bottling operations. The company went live with new bottling equipment in January 2023 in order to bring more great whiskey to market.

While these measures are unlikely to satisfy domestic and international demand in the short term, they reflect an ongoing commitment to bring more Michter's to consumers without sacrificing the highest level of quality for which the brand is appreciated.

"We recognize the frustration of some of our supporters as they encounter challenges in finding certain Michter's releases on the shelf. We want our loyal Michter's drinkers to know we are trying to continue to invest in the growth of the brand while maintaining the exceptional level of our whiskeys," commented Andrea Wilson, Michter's Master of Maturation.  "We have an over 30-year planning horizon for our whiskeys and use models to plan sales and work hard to focus on staying true to the quality of our whiskeys," she added.

For over 20 years Michter's Executive Vice President Steve Ziegler has been tasked with allocating the Kentucky whiskeys offered by Michter's to the company's distributors and importers. "My job was a lot easier years ago when we felt lucky to sell 50 three bottle packs nationally in a month," observed Ziegler. "We are still quite small compared to many other whiskey companies. Our Master Distiller Dan McKee and our Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson decide when specific barrels are aged to their standards and ready to release, and I do my best to spread that whiskey around to our customers. Unfortunately, what we release simply is not enough to meet demand right now, and we are addressing the shortfall without cutting corners."

While thoughtfully expanding production over the years, Michter's remains determined to maintain its high quality and, if anything, improve it. "Our goal is to make the greatest American whiskey," said Master Distiller Dan McKee. "We would love to be able to offer more of it, but we simply won't do so until the whiskey is ready at the standard our loyal Michter's drinkers expect.  I do think that we have some good news to share in that respect, which is why I am so happy to introduce the 2023 release of Michter's 10 Year Rye."

While all types of Michter's continue to be allocated, the distillery is releasing 10 Year Rye for the first time since July 2022. A Kentucky style rye with a good amount of corn and malted barley in the mashbill, Michter's 10 Year Rye has a suggested U.S. retail price of $200 per 750ml bottle.

Said Wilson, Michter's Master of Maturation: "The 10 Year Rye release is elegant, yet full of herbal and honey characters with warm spice resulting in a captivating, rich, smooth drinking experience. LOUIS, April 20, 2023 Lux Row master distiller and master blender John Rempe renews his annual pact with bourbon drinkers with the release of Blood Oath Pact 9 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. A limited supply of 17,000 (3-pack) cases will arrive at retail this April at a suggested price of $129.99 per 750 ml bottle. As with all of Rempe's pacts, Blood Oath Pact 9 is offered at 98.6 proof (49.3% ABV).

Blood Oath Pact 9 combines some of the finest extra-aged bourbons Rempe could find, including a 16-year ryed bourbon and a 12-year ryed bourbon, as well as a 7-year ryed bourbon finished in Oloroso Sherry casks from the Sherry Triangle region in southwest Spain. These casks impart unique woody and ripe-fruit aromas and flavors to make Blood Oath Pact 9 a memorable pour.

"Blood Oath Pact 9 contains three great bourbons, and the Oloroso Sherry cask finish has resulted in a deep, dark amber liquid with long legs," said Rempe. "The Oloroso Sherry casks also bring out tasting notes of sweet sherry with hints of ripe fruit on the nose, as well as flavor notes highlighted by ripe fruits including figs, plums and raisins, with notes of molasses, chocolate and tobacco. This bourbon also provides a long-lasting finish characterized by fruit notes and complemented by hints of spicy oak. I'm proud to share Blood Oath Pact 9 with bourbon lovers."

Each Blood Oath pact has featured a different colored label. This year, Blood Oath Pact 9 features a label that is deep crimson in color. And like its predecessors, each bottle of Blood Oath Pact 9 comes in a commemorative fire-branded wooden display box.

The official launch of Blood Oath Pact 9 will include a total allocation of 51,00 bottles, 1,400 of which will be held for a future Trilogy Pack release. Bob Dylan Reveals Plan for Pleasureville

CHICAGO, April 20, 2023  Heaven's Door Spirits, the celebrated whiskey brand founded by Bob Dylan, announced today its plans to open a new distillery in Pleasureville, Kentucky.  Located on over 160 acres of rolling hills astride Six Mile Creek, the picturesque property was once owned by Squire Boone, the brother of legendary frontiersman Daniel Boone.

Quietly under development since 2017, the distillery has been producing small batches of exceptional bourbon on its custom Vendome still since 2018. The Heaven's Door Distillery features two separate stillhouses, each in its own towering western horse barn, a Visitor's Center with tasting rooms and lounges overlooking the valley and Six Mile Creek, an eighteenth-century grist mill, two eighteenth-century cabins and a Moravian barn, all of which have been painstakingly restored.  Heaven's Door Distillery plans to open its doors to the public in September 2023.

Ken Pierce, an industry veteran, was brought on as Master Distiller to lead the project from design through distillation. Ken began his illustrious career with Barton Brands Distillery, initially working as Senior Chemist to Director of Distillation and eventually becoming Master Distiller. Ken was instrumental in the development of 1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and its limited release expressions.

"I was honored to be chosen as Master Distiller for the Pleasureville project," said Pierce, "The Heaven's Door Distillery has been an incredible project, from inception to production of our first barrels. For me, this is a living legacy of my 40 years in the industry and my passion for making great whiskey."

Heaven's Door is proud to lead the way in sustainable distilling, utilizing two underground aquifers to access pristine limestone water for its distilling as well as geothermal heating and cooling of the buildings. Through its dedication to sustainable practices, the distillery cultivates its own heirloom grains and recycles protein-rich mash from the fermentation process as feed for cattle on surrounding farms.

The project will help drive economic growth and opportunities in the county by creating more than 50 jobs and bringing tourism to the area. The distillery also plans to work with local farmers to source ingredients for its spirits, further strengthening its ties to the community.

Heaven's Door Brand Experience on Urban Bourbon Trail
In addition to its Pleasureville distillery, Heaven's Door has announced it will open a unique brand experience in a former church in Downtown Louisville. The brand experience will house a small live music venue, a private event space and a restaurant and bar featuring one of the largest selections of American whiskeys in the country.

The Heaven's Door brand center includes plans to construct a new 15,000 square foot immersive art experience adjacent to the church which will feature a collection of Bob Dylan's critically acclaimed paintings and metalworks, as well as curated exhibitions of other artists.

The Company had previously announced that it intended to open a showcase distillery and brand center in a 160-year-old church in Nashville, Tennessee, which it acquired in 2016. "With our distillery opening in Pleasureville, KY, having our brand experience in Louisville made more sense," said Bushala. "We will use the Nashville property as the seat of The Heaven's Door Foundation, the Company's philanthropic arm which supports charities for the arts."

This whiskey will go on sale on Wednesday April 19th at the distillery and will begin rolling out to New York accounts and national distributors the next day. Each 750ml bottle is lightly caffeinated (14mg per 1.5oz serving) and 40% alcohol by volume. With a suggested retail price in the mid-$40 range in most of the country, this is a high-end alternative to the standard coffee mixer, one that suits a new spirits landscape brought on by the craft revolution.

It is a captivating blend of 94% 9-year-old Indiana Straight Rye and 6% 4-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye, the latter distilled by Jacob Call and crafted with his signature spice. Both are finished with the sweetness and softness of Ron Call's own rum-seasoned Oloroso Sherry casks. It is 100 proof and a dark amber color. It has a rich caramel and brown sugar aroma, complemented by back notes of soft rye and vanilla. On the palate, it has notes of rich cherry, toasted oak, creamy caramel, and cinnamon. A rich mouthfeel bursts with fruit flavor leading into a soft, sweet, and warm finish.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., April 11, 2023 - Rock Town Distillery is excited to announce the release of its new bourbon line: The Column Still Collection. This unique collection is the result of a collaboration between Rock Town Distillery and Bardstown Bourbon Company, where Arkansas grains were used in combination with Rock Town's award-winning recipe to produce three different bourbons.

In March of 2020, Rock Town's Founder and Head Distiller Phil Brandon embarked on a trip to bourbon country in Kentucky to find a way to make more bourbon to meet the growing demand for Rock Town spirits. He discovered the Collaborative Distilling Program offered by Bardstown Bourbon Company and realized that he could use his own bourbon recipe along with Arkansas-grown grains to produce quality bourbon.

Working with our grain partners at Stratton Seed from Stuttgart, Arkansas, 180,000 lbs. of Arkansas-grown corn and wheat were trucked 500 miles to Bardstown, Kentucky. And so, the adventure began: making Arkansas bourbon in the heart of Kentucky.

The first cook was started on March 12th, 2020, and after cooking and fermenting, the team used the column stills at Bardstown to distill the white dog, which was then cut to 110 proof before filling new charred oak barrels from Kelvin Cooperage and Gibbs Brothers Cooperage. The bourbon was then aged back in Little Rock at Rock Town Distillery's downtown barrelhouse.

The Rock Town Column Still Collection invites bourbon enthusiasts to take a journey through our brand's special product line of expertly distilled, aged and creatively finished bourbons. Each bottle represents the culmination of our passion and dedication to the art of bourbon making:

LONDON, April 11, 2023 - The release of The Singleton 40-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky delivers the third and final chapter in a series of exceptional whiskies, an epicurean journey of flavour by The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery. A highly limited release, this is a deeply decadent whisky with notes of velvet dark chocolate and rich plums. Its layers of flavour are so indulgent that it has inspired the exploration of 'Sensorial Maximalism' as a new theory in neuroaesthetics on how to achieve superlative taste experiences.

The Singleton creates visionary, exceptional Scotch whiskies with unequalled flavour, pushing boundaries of taste to create malts with outstanding depth and harmony. A pioneer through her experimentation and craft, revered Master of Malt Maureen Robinson pushed the boundaries to create this whisky, bringing us on a journey into decadence through a 28- year secondary maturation, the longest by the distillery.

Maureen Robinson explains: "The Singleton 40-Year-Old is the finale in the Epicurean Odyssey series from The Singleton, one which I've thoroughly enjoyed crafting and have drawn on my own personal journey of flavour from my career as a whisky maker. At the end of this very extensive secondary maturation we sought out specially selected Ron Zacapa XO casks for a final indulgent finish to the whisky, which deliver an intensely rich, fruity and smooth finish to bring deep notes of dark chocolate. The result: a whisky that epitomises my desire to seek out new flavour through craft, and a whisky at its most maximal."

Taking as inspiration the incredible craftsmanship and indulgent character of The Singleton 40-Year-Old, three global multidisciplinary artists, curated by AlterProjects and in association with Yoko Choy, created unique works which investigated the elements of mastery by Maureen Robinson and whisky-makers at The Singleton. The talented artists, Zhou Yilun, Found Studio and Moodsonic brought maturation time, craft and the richness of the spirit to life through the interpretation of 'Flow', 'Collision' and 'Richness'.

Neuroscientist Katherine Templar Lewis also influenced the development of these artworks. Inspired by the richness of this rare single malt and its journey of flavour, she explored 'Sensorial Maximalism' as a new neuroscientific theory, where our sensorial consciousness can be heightened through the curation of our external environment. This then prepares us for the most superlative tasting experience possible.

The works of the three artists were informed not only by Katherine Templar Lewis's research, and intended to contribute to this heightened sensory state, but were also inspired by the story of The Singleton 40-Year-Old.  Malt Master Maureen Robinson set out to push secondary maturation in experimental casks to the extreme, and then layer on further deliberate enhancements to create The Singleton's most indulgent whiskies ever.

These artworks formed the basis of an immersive gallery experience in Shanghai, named The Rooms of Maximalism, where guests journeyed through rooms delivering precise stimulation for the five senses and beyond, to reach this heightened state of Sensorial Maximalism, before the very first tastings globally of The Singleton 40-Year-Old.

The experience included the unveiling of a large-scale physical piece created by Zhou Yilun, exploring the collision between liquid and casks. There were also areas of sensory deprivation, sonically induced ASMR through a soundscape designed by Moodsonic and moving digital art by Found Studio, deploying movement at varying speeds, specially designed to bring guests into a flow state, alongside a range of touchable textures all building on the guests' sensorial experience.

Zhou Yilun said: "Through a single, grandiose sculptural installation, I sought to capture the collision of liquid and wood present in The Singleton 40-year-old whisky. With my material, I aimed to mimic the texture and sensation of whisky flowing through the cask and onto the tongue. By layering paint and using brushstrokes of various hues, I sought to depict the interlacing and textural complexity of the whisky's multiple layers of flavour. It is my hope that the sculpture embodies the sensorial experience of the liquid for the viewer."

Moodsonic composer Tomas Nordmark commented: "The sound that we hear around us changes how we taste, touch, feel and smell, so it's the perfect way to create rich, immersive, maximalist experiences. We set out to create a unique composition that simultaneously celebrates and enhances the tasting experience of this exceptional whisky. Using the neuroscientific theories laid out by Katherine Templar Lewis, we designed sound that will intensify flavours like velvety chocolate for those tasting."

Katherine Templar Lewis said: "Neuroaesthetics tells us how outside influences can heighten our senses and prime them to create the ultimate tasting experience. Through deploying various tactics which affect the five senses and beyond, individuals can achieve this state of Sensorial Maximalism before they enjoy The Singleton 40-Year-Old. The CEO and Founder Embarks on a Cross Country Journey to Show Gratitude to One of the Brand's Most Loyal Supporters 

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn., April 6, 2023 Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey announces today its CEO and Founder Fawn Weaver's 2023 CEO tour: Thank You for Your Service. Thank You for Your Support. While Weaver's past two CEO Thank You Tours have focused on thanking the managers and owners of the bars, restaurants, and liquor stores who have helped Uncle Nearest become the top-selling Black owned spirits brand in the world, this year's tour is a heartfelt journey across America, as Weaver will visit military bases nationwide to express her gratitude to one of the brand's most supportive communities.

The tour, beginning on April 11 at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, will take Weaver on a 16-week journey to more than 35 military installations, showcasing the incredible diversity and uniqueness of each base. Weaver will immerse herself in the daily lives of our nation's brave service members, including joining fireside chats with top commanders, participating in intense morning workouts with the U.S. Army Physical Fitness Team, observing a search and rescue at the Coast Guard Base in Clearwater, Florida, boarding and exploring aircraft carriers at Chambers Field, and more.

"During my CEO Tour in 2022, I visited 121 cities in 100 days. During my stop in New York, I saw thousands of new sailors dressed in all white, walking through the city's streets during Fleet Week. It was a spectacular sight," said Fawn Weaver. "As I passed by the Intrepid Museum and saw the colossal submarine, I knew I wanted my next CEO Thank You Tour to share some of the most incredible things on our country's bases with the world, as well as to personally thank the troops, commanders, and veterans for their service and support. This tour is a tribute to the sacrifices made by our military and a way to express my deep gratitude for their unwavering support of Uncle Nearest. I want to thank them not just for their service, but also for their support of our brand and our mission to honor and cement the legacy of the world's first known Black American master distiller, Nearest Green."

Each of the military installations Weaver will be visiting during the tour was chosen with the intention of giving a behind the scenes look at just how incredibly unique each of our nation's armed forces bases are. One such stop is to the Naval Station Norfolk, the largest naval station in the world, where she will meet Captain Janet H. Days, who made history earlier this year as the first Black woman to be named Commanding Officer, overseeing the station. Weaver will also visit and showcase bases like Fort Knox, the world's most heavily guarded military base due to its housing of more than half of the American Treasury's gold, as well as Fort Bragg, one of the largest military complexes in the world, which hosts the only Airborne Corps and Airborne Division and makes 100,000 parachute jumps each year.

The Uncle Nearest team will also host events at the bases' commissaries, offering a taste of the premium whiskey that pays homage to its namesake and his contributions to the brand's rich history.

"When the Uncle Nearest team came to us and shared what Fawn wanted to be the focus of her next CEO Thank You Tour, we immediately knew this would be special," said John W. Troxell, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and retired Command Sergeant Major. "Several military personnel and I flew to Nearest Green Distillery to meet with Fawn directly. By the end of that meeting, we knew she was about to embark on something that none of us in that room had ever seen or heard of being done before. She wanted to be the first CEO of a major company to go base to base with only one goal in mind: To say thank you to our brave service members."
