About ANGEL'S ENVY

ANGEL'S ENVY is the culmination of the late Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson's storied, 40-year career and his son Wes Henderson's desire to create a premium bourbon that embodied his family's deep-rooted passion and knowledge of the industry.

Driven by a craftsman's desire to improve upon his life's work, Lincoln came out of retirement with Wes to create a whiskey masterpiece that would carry on his family's name and legacy — ANGEL'S ENVY.

ANGEL'S ENVY continues to run as a family venture to this day. Wes' sons, Kyle and Andrew, are both an integral part of the company's operation where they serve as Production Manager and Lead Distillery Operator, respectively.

In addition to the flagship Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels, the company offers ANGEL'S ENVY Rye Finished in Rum Barrels and ANGEL's ENVY Cask Strength Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels. Each Expression exhibits a passion for experimenting outside of the conventional, producing unique whiskey steeped in tradition, but with an unexpected finish.

ANGEL'S ENVY opened its new distillery and brand home in 2016. Located at 500 East Main Street, the distillery is the first full-production whiskey distillery in downtown Louisville. The distillery houses all operations from the milling of grains to blending and bottling on site. The gift shop and The Finishing Room tasting experience add to the distillery tour, offering guests a uniquely personal experience in Louisville and the Bourbon Trail.

A ‘Neat’ Bourbon Master Joins Bank & Bourbon

Daniel Kulisek brings over 20 years of taste and expertise to renowned Philadelphia restaurant

Philadelphia, PA (January 30, 2020) - Bank & Bourbon, an inherently American restaurant located in the booming culinary destination of Philadelphia, is pleased to welcome Daniel Kulisek as Bourbon Master.

In this role, Daniel will oversee Bank & Bourbon’s innovative barrel-aged cocktail program and its extensive collection of bourbon, whiskey and rye. At the restaurant, he will work closely with the entire beverage team to craft fresh and creative seasonal cocktails using the finest house-aged spirits and manage the private barrel-aging locker membership program. Daniel will also lead the restaurant’s exclusive Bourbon Tastings, new Distiller Happy Hours Series and highly curated dinners and pairings with some the industry’s most elite brands such as Woodford Reserve and Four Roses.

“Picking a drink to enjoy or pair with your meal can often be overwhelming,” says Dan Rivas, General Manager of Bank & Bourbon. “Daniel will help guide our guests through this process, help to educate them on the notes that they taste and smell, and also assist guests with pairing the right spirit with the right food for a memorable beverage and food experience.”

In order to create those perfect pairs, Kulisek traveled to Kentucky to handpick two barrel selections to showcase at the restaurant. Bank & Bourbon now features Russell’s Reserve Private Barrel and Four Roses Single OESK. Russell’s Reserve is made from the standard Wild Turkey mash bill of 72/13/12 (Corn/Rye/Barley) and has been aged for 10 years. This particular barrel of bourbon shows characteristics of caramel and vanilla, offers up notes of red fruits, especially cherry and a hint of spice making it beautifully well-balanced. The Four Roses Single OESK uses one of two mash bills; the “E” mash is 80/20 (Corn/Rye). Although this whiskey is high in corn, it has strong notes of spice, which comes from the “K.” Also aged for ten years, it has notes of tobacco, toffee and cinnamon.

Bourbon isn’t the only star at Bank & Bourbon. The restaurant menu is constantly changing to incorporate the best local and seasonal ingredients around. Partnering with Chef Joe Thomas Jr., Daniel will perfectly pair the caramel, vanilla and oak flavors that often embody bourbon with Bank & Bourbon’s signature dishes such as charcuterie boards, dry-aged steaks and delectable desserts.

Kulisek brings over 20 years of experience to his role as Bourbon Master. He most recently worked at Square 1682, where he ran the restaurant’s beverage program, overseeing their wine and spirits collection. Daniel has also traveled extensively learning firsthand about different distilleries and the different methods of whiskey production.

Daniel resides in Audubon, New Jersey with his wife Laura, and son Danny. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, as well as writing and music performance.

So whether you prefer sweet aromatics, green notes of anything grassy, spices like pepper, fruit or florals, grab a seat and let our Bourbon Master do the rest.

Check out Bourbon Master Daniel Kulisek’s full Kentucky experience here: https://vimeo.com/337322271. For more information on our new Bourbon Master and took book your private tasting experiences, please visit: http://bankandbourbon.com/events_happenings.html.

About The Macallan
Founded in 1824, The Macallan is one of the worlds' most admired and awarded single malt whiskies. The reputation of The Macallan is based on a product of outstanding quality and distinctive character. An obsession with excellence has been the hallmark of The Macallan since its founding, by Alexander Reid, on a plateau above the river Spey in north-east Scotland.

In May 2018, The Macallan unveiled its new £140 million distillery and visitor experience on its Speyside estate, increasing investment in whisky, warehousing and in The Macallan's signature sherry-seasoned oak casks.  The striking contemporary architecture, cut into the slope of the land, takes its cues from ancient Scottish hills.  It stands nearby Easter Elchies House, the Highland Manor built in 1700 which has been The Macallan's spiritual home since 1824.  The new distillery marks an important milestone, recognizing the significant journey of The Macallan since 1824 and marking an exciting new chapter in the evolution of the luxury single malt."

Latitude Beverage Announces the Debut of Wheel Horse Rye Whiskey

Latitude Beverage Announces the Debut of Wheel Horse Rye WhiskeyBOSTON, Jan. 15, 2020  Latitude Beverage, the company behind leading wine brand 90+ Cellars, is expanding its independently bottled spirits portfolio with the launch of Wheel Horse Rye. The whiskey was produced at O.Z. Tyler, a historic distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky, the site of one of the state's original permitted distilleries and a stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Wheel Horse is the first aged rye whiskey to come out of O.Z. Tyler since its reopening in 2016.

Wheel Horse is a Straight Rye Whiskey traditionally crafted by Master Distiller Jacob Call, a third-generation distiller and seventh-generation Kentuckian. Bottled at 101 proof, the small batch, sour mash whiskey is made with a grain bill of 95 percent rye and five percent malted barley. The whiskey was aged at the Owensboro facility between two and three years in new, charred American Oak barrels, giving it a rich and flavorful profile with notes of baking spices, sweet toffee and barrel-mellowed rye spice.

"America has seen a resurgence of rye whiskey over the past decade, and there's no end in sight to its impressive growth," said Terry Lozoff, Latitude Beverage's VP of Marketing and Spirits Director. "We are excited to enter this category, and even more excited to be doing so in partnership with O.Z. Tyler; a distillery with roots dating back to the late 1800s, and that once produced whiskeys for historic brands like Ezra Brooks, Green River and Old Medley. We are proud that Wheel Horse is the first aged rye to come out of the fully restored O.Z. Tyler."

The first batch of Wheel Horse Rye has just been released and is making its way out to market in January 2020. The whiskey will be available at select spirits retail locations throughout the Northeast as well as in Colorado, California and Illinois. Suggested retail price for the 750mL bottle is $27.99.

"Latitude Beverage was founded on the model of bringing incredible alcohol beverage products to consumers at unbeatable values by partnering with distinctive, world-class producers," said Kevin Mehra, Latitude Beverage founder and CEO. "For 10 years we've brought some of the best values in wine to the market through the 90+ Cellars brand. We're in a unique position to bring this expertise to other categories as well, which is why we are excited to release one of the best ryes under $30 on the market with Wheel Horse."

About Latitude Beverage
Latitude Beverage is the innovative company behind a portfolio of national wine and spirits brands, including 90+ Cellars, Lila Wines, Iron Side Cellars and Steel Dust Vodka. The company was founded in 2007 by Kevin Mehra who saw an opportunity to make high-end wine more accessible by sourcing wine from highly-rated wineries across the globe, bottling the wine under his own labels, and selling it to consumers at a lower price. This unique business model, based on the centuries old function of the négociant and independent bottler, became the foundation for 90+ Cellars. This same model has enabled Latitude Beverage Company to expand its portfolio with a handful of additional labels, and the company is now recognized as one of the fastest growing wine companies in America (IMPACT Hot Brand 2015, 2016, 2017). Most Awarded American Whiskey Of 2019: Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey

Most Awarded American Whiskey Of 2019: Uncle Nearest Premium WhiskeyHELBYVILLE, Tenn., When globally recognized whiskey critic Fred Minnick unveiled his Top 5 American Whiskeys of 2019 on a livestream, in which he blind tasted 35 finalists, he revealed his third top pick to be Uncle Nearest 1820 Single Barrel Whiskey saying, "That is kind of an upset…It's a whiskey out of Tennessee and they are absolutely pushing the needle…" This blind selection made it the only non-Kentucky whiskey among the select group, surprising industry leaders who have long boasted that the most premium whiskeys hail from the Bluegrass State.

Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey spent the entire year of 2019 quietly racking up top awards in spirit competitions and industry publications around the globe, including 10 Best in Class and Best in Show, and 25 Platinum, Double Gold and Gold medals. Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible rated 1820 Single Barrel Whiskey a 94.5, the highest score for a Tennessee Whiskey or Bourbon. He is joined by the more than 10 other industry leaders who rated Uncle Nearest's three labels - 1856 Premium Aged Whiskey, 1820 Single Barrel Whiskey and 1884 Small Batch Whiskey - between 90-96, with an overall industry-wide rating of 92.6.

For the third year in a row, Cigar & Spirits Magazine named Uncle Nearest its No. 1 whiskey from Tennessee, awarding the brand a Double Gold medal for its 1856 Premium Aged Whiskey, a Double Gold medal for its 1820 Single Barrel and a Gold medal for its 1884 Small Batch expression. The Ultimate Spirits Challenge awarded the brand a Chairman's Trophy, its highest honor.

At the New Orleans World Bourbon Festival, in a room full of the most elite American whiskey brands, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey was crowned Best American Whiskey. The World Whiskies Awards hosted by Whisky Magazine named the brand an Icon of Whisky, bestowing its highest honor of World's Best (a title it shared with a top Kentucky Bourbon).

The SIP Awards, the only internationally recognized consumer judging spirits competition, handed Uncle Nearest two Double Gold medals, a Best in Class award, a Gold medal and a highly coveted Consumers' Choice award. At the China Wine & Spirits Awards, 1884 Small Batch Whiskey took home a Double Gold medal making it the Top American Whiskey at the biggest and most prestigious wine and spirits competition in China. Uncle Nearest 1884 also took home a Double Gold medal at the 2019 Sommelier Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition hosted by Robert Whitley. For the North American Whiskey Tasting, powered by the Beverage Testing Institute, Uncle Nearest 1856 took home a Platinum medal, the competition's biggest award.

"When my great-great-grandfather, Nearest Green, was alive, his whiskey was known to be the best," said Victoria Eady Butler, master blender for Uncle Nearest. "We know this because in all the Nashville papers, the distributors would discount every whiskey from Tennessee and Kentucky on Fridays to drum up business. The only whiskey that was never discounted, and I mean never from what we have found, was the whiskey my great-great-grandfather was making."

About Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey
Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is inspired by the best whiskey-maker the world never knew, the first known African-American master distiller, Nathan "Nearest" Green. The Uncle Nearest brand, an all minority-led business wholly owned by Uncle Nearest, Inc., encompasses a premium aged expression featuring a blend of 8- to 14-year old whiskeys, an 11-year-old minimum single barrel whiskey, and a 7-year-old small batch offering, all mellowed using the Lincoln County Process, a unique filtering of bourbon through sugar maple charcoal. This process is confirmed to have been brought to Tennessee by enslaved people and taught by Nearest Green to the most famous Tennessee Whiskey maker of all time. Uncle Nearest is distilled, aged, bottled and hand-labeled in Tennessee.

The brand was built on its knack for sourcing the best of Tennessee Whiskeys and Bourbons, and using its own non-temperature-controlled aging process and unique post-aging double filtration method that significantly changes the characteristics and profile of the original whiskeys. Uncle Nearest is the most awarded new American whiskey brand in United States history, garnering 72 awards since its July 2017 debut, including being one of two brands named "World's Best" at Whisky Magazine's 2019 World Whiskies Awards, and earning 15 Best in Class honors. Cigar & Spirits Magazine also named Uncle Nearest one of the "Top 5 Whiskies in the World."

The whiskey is currently available in all 50 states and 12 countries (while shipping into a total of 148 countries), in more than 10,000 stores, bars, restaurants and at its 270-acre distillery in Shelbyville, Tenn., dubbed by a member of the press as "Malt Disney World."
