The limited-edition 60-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch will be on display at the Superyacht Village, where the iconic Speyside brand is hosting daily tastings of its award-winning core range

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 28, 2021 - The Glen Grant announces the U.S. launch of the exceptionally rare Dennis Malcolm 60th Anniversary Edition. The coveted 60-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch, which retails for a SRP of $30,000 USD, will debut at the 62nd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), where The Glen Grant is a Proud Partner.

As the ultimate destination for luxury enthusiasts seeking the latest in innovation, FLIBS' Superyacht Village offers the perfect setting to launch this limited edition. Made in celebration of and tribute to, the six-decades long career of The Glen Grant's Master Distiller Dennis Malcolm, one of Scotland's most renowned and longest serving Master Distillers, this offering is the oldest to-date in the brand's 181 year history.

An extremely rare and precious liquid, The Dennis Malcolm 60th Anniversary Edition, is a luxurious, aromatic spirit, exuding an elegance that can only be achieved with time and dedication. The result is - quite simply - a sublime masterpiece. With only 360 decanters available, this complex alchemy of spirit and time is a rare specimen and a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience  that presents a distinctive, rich and fruity taste with a beautiful balance of dark chocolate layered with treacle toffee. The taste has elements of a liquid fruit cake, finished with long, lingering flavours of figs, dates, liquorice, and a slight hint of smoke.

Presented in a hand-blown Glencairn crystal bottle, this unique bottle will be shown in the Superyacht Village, where visitors can enjoy daily tastings of the brand's principal collection – The Glen Grant 12 year-old, 15 year-old, and 18 year-old, led by Robin Coupar, Campari Group Global Whisky Advocate. A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Robin is a leading Scotch and American whisky expert with over 27 years of industry experience.

The first of the decanters was purchased at an exclusive Chinese auction last week in Shanghai, with the winning bid coming in at 380,000 RMB (over $59,000 USD value) – nearly double the bottle's SRP, making it the highest-price sale in The Glen Grant's history.

The Glen Grant was established in 1840 in Rothes, Speyside – Scotland's premier region for whisky production. The historic distillery's award winning range of single malt Scotch whisky is still produced in Rothes today. The Glen Grant holds a range of prestigious industry awards and is world renowned for its consistent quality across its aged variants.

The 62nd annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show will run October 27-31, 2021. For additional information, or to schedule a private tasting during FLIBS, please contact: Image Land, Rare@ImageLand.nyc, (347) 609-5963.

About The Glen Grant
The Glen Grant's story began in 1840, in Rothes, Speyside – Scotland's premier region for Whisky production; by brothers John and James Grant. Still produced in Rothes today, The Glen Grant holds a range of prestigious industry awards and is world renowned for its consistent quality across its aged variants.  The elegant and seductively smooth taste for which The Glen Grant is famous is the result of the innovative tall slender stills and revolutionary purifiers that James 'The Major' Grant, son of founder James Grant, was one of the first to introduce over a century ago. Still used to this day, this lasting legacy continues to distinguish the brand.

Today, Dennis Malcolm, the multi-award winning The Glen Grant Master Distiller, directs and presides over the amber liquid. Born in the grounds of The Glen Grant Distillery in 1946, he has worked for The Glen Grant for over five decades, with an uncommon passion and unrivaled knowledge of the industry. Dennis' unmatched Scotch whisky experience ensures that every expression in The Glen Grant range makes the absolute best of the complex alchemy of spirit, wood and time.

The current range includes; The Glen Grant Major's Reserve, Arboralis, 10 Years Old, 12 Years Old, 15 Years Old, 18 Year Old (select markets), limited edition bottles and a selection of travel retail exclusive offerings, including a 12 Years Old Non-chill Filtered and Cask Haven.  The Glen Grant became part of the Campari Group portfolio in 2006. The Glen Grant single malt Scotch whisky differs between each expression and consumers are encouraged to always drink responsibly.

ANGEL'S ENVY® Unveils Tenth Annual Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished In Port Wine Barrels

Introduced in 2012, the highly acclaimed and awarded ANGEL'S ENVY Cask Strength program now comprises ten unique annual releases and has been carried forward over the past decade by three generations of the Henderson family

Beginning on December 1, this year's limited run of 14,760 bottles will be available for purchase at select retailers in all 50 states

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 28, 2021- ANGEL'S ENVY®, the Louisville-based craft distiller that produces small batch, finished whiskeys, today announced the limited-edition release of its ANGEL'S ENVY 2021 Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels. This limited-edition, 120.7-proof (60.35% ABV) whiskey marks the tenth release in ANGEL'S ENVY'S Cask Strength program, and it is packaged in a commemorative and collectible carved hardwood box. Beginning on December 1, just 14,760 bottles will be available at select retailers in all 50 U.S. states, including the ANGEL'S ENVY distillery in downtown Louisville. The ANGEL'S ENVY Cask Strength program was introduced in 2012 by Wes Henderson, his son Kyle and his father, the late Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson.

"Putting together our annual Cask Strength release has become something of a tradition for our family. It's hard to believe that we've been doing it for ten years," said Wes Henderson, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of ANGEL'S ENVY. "Back in 2012, our first Cask Strength release was a run of just 600 bottles available in only two states. So to see fans all over the country chasing down these bottles and sharing them with their friends and family as a special way to toast over the holidays or as a gift – it's very rewarding and a reflection of how much Angel's Envy has grown over the past decade."

Each year, as part of the ANGEL'S ENVY Cask Strength program, the Henderson family selects a handful of noteworthy barrels from its rickhouses to put through an extended finishing process in port wine barrels from Portugal. These special barrels bring forward distinct characteristics in the whiskey, giving each expression of ANGEL'S ENVY Cask Strength a unique nose, palate and finish. Over the past decade, many ANGEL'S ENVY Cask Strength releases have been highly acclaimed and awarded by reviewers, experts and journalists across the industry.

ANGEL'S ENVY 2021 Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels is complex on the nose, with notes of peach and cherry accompanied by hints of brandy, tea and honey. Notes of leather, toasted oak and vanilla carry into the palate, along with flavors of stone fruit and port that give way to creamy crème brulee and honey with nutty marzipan. The finish features slight tannins and notes of black tea, apricot and smoke. ANGEL'S ENVY recommends sipping ANGEL'S ENVY 2021 Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels neat.

Suggested retail price for a 750mL bottle, which may vary by market, is $229.99.

Matthew McConaughey and Wild Turkey® Honor Local Music Scenes Through Annual Give Back Campaign

Matthew McConaughey and Wild Turkey® Honor Local Music Scenes Through Annual Give Back Campaign

McConaughey Teams Up with Iconic Bourbon Brand to Thank Everyday Heroes by Supporting Community-Based Music Initiatives with a Series of $10,000 Donations

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky., Oct. 27, 2021 -- While the power of live music continues to inspire, the future of the live music industry remains uncertain in the face of the ongoing pandemic – especially on the local level. Today, Matthew McConaughey and Wild Turkey are recognizing individuals who kept their local music scenes alive with a series of $10,000 donations to community-based music initiatives of their choice. Wild Turkey's Creative Director and the iconic bourbon brand teamed up to honor five "Local Legends" who supported music endeavors that helped their communities thrive during an exceptionally trying time. This is the fifth year that McConaughey and Wild Turkey have come together during the holiday season to recognize and reward everyday heroes.

As a nod to Wild Turkey's new Trust Your Spirit campaign, the legendary American Whiskey brand selected Local Legends who demonstrated courage, conviction and confidence no matter what. These bold, selfless individuals showed up for the music scene in extraordinary ways - whether raising funds for furloughed or unemployed musicians, offering virtual music lessons or organizing benefit concerts. To celebrate these selfless acts, each Local Legend – Jason Eskridge and Justin Branam, both of Nashville, Jess Garland of Dallas, Melissa A. Weber of New Orleans, and Justin Fedor of Charlotte – received a $10,000 donation to the music-centric charity of choice as a way to continue uplifting their local music community.

"Music can heal, inspire, transform and take us on time travelling trips to where we've already been and where we want to go. With a rhythm, a rhyme, a hook and a beat, music is a soundtrack to our lives individually, as groups, and as a people. Musicians are outlaws, poets, performers, and prognosticators – and we need to them keep taking the stage. With that said, it's vital that we invest in these local music scenes – to keep the lights on at our favorite venues and nurture the next generation of great live performers," said Wild Turkey Creative Director Matthew McConaughey.

On Friday, November 5, the Local Legends will be honored at an intimate, outdoor concert hosted by Wild Turkey in Nashville with live performances by local talent, including Devon Gilfillian and Seratones. During the celebration, attendees will raise a 101 Bold Fashioned to the honorees and their conviction to stand up for a community they believe in. The event will adhere to local COVID protocols and CDC guidelines.

The Honorees & Their Selected Charity Beneficiaries

  • Jason Eskridge is a former NASA mechanical engineer who left to pursue his true passion in music. Now a prominent figure in the R&B and urban Nashville scene, Eskridge created a community of diversity when he began Sunday Night Soul, a bi-monthly, performance event spotlighting soul artists in Nashville. Eskridge stood by his mission and retooled the event to be streamed virtually during the pandemic. His $10,000 will be donated to the Nashville Arts and Business Council to benefit Your Song, a collaborative songwriting program that connects performing arts centers, musicians and artists with vulnerable communities to promote healing and community connectedness.
  • Jess Garland is a filmmaker and local musician in Dallas who turned her personal history into incredible storytelling songs. Understanding the emotional, therapeutic power of music, she formed the non-profit Swan Strings, which brings free music lessons to Dallas residents. She is also the Executive Director of another music-centric non-profit, Girls Rock Dallas. For her $10,000 donation, she has selected Deep Ellum 100, an organization that provides financial grants to musicians affected by the pandemic.
  • Justin Branam is the Program Director for Musicians Corner, a program of Centennial Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization in Nashville that aims to preserve, enhance, and share the Parthenon and Centennial Park. During COVID, Justin and his team at Musicians Corner worked diligently to provide virtual experiences, keeping the safety of audiences top of mind while still finding ways to provide entertainment to their community and spotlight musicians and local small businesses. Justin has selected Musicians Corner to receive his $10,000 donation.
  • Justin Fedor is a singer, guitarist, and benefit concert organizer in Charlotte, NC. Since 2013, Justin has organized the biannual concert series, Tribute to Benefit, which raises tens of thousands for local charitable causes. During the pandemic, Fedor enlisted his community to create a virtual John Prine Tribute and another Tribute to Black Artists. Fedor has selected DrumsForCures to receive his $10,000 donation. Several times over the years, DrumsForCures has matched funds with Tribute to Benefit to double the donations to local non-profits. DrumsForCures produces DRUMSTRONG events raising awareness and funds in support of cancer survivorship, education and research through facilitated interactive rhythm experiences globally.
  • Melissa A. Weber—aka DJ Soul Sister—is a longtime New Orleans resident and locally renowned dance party host. She's credited as the first to implement a vaccine mandate at her New Orleans dance parties, where she spins classic funk. She has chosen to split her $10,000 donation evenly between the New Orleans Musicians Clinic and Assistance Foundation, which provides medical care and social services to local artists, and Backstreet Cultural Museum, which preserves and documents local music-oriented cultures of Mardi Gras Indians, social aid and pleasure clubs, jazz funerals, and other Black New Orleans cultural traditions.

Alberta Distillers Re-introduces Limited Time Offering of Widely Coveted 100% Rye Whisky, Alberta® Premium Cask Strength Rye

TORONTO, Oct. 19, 2021 Alberta Distillers, Distillery of the Decade as named by the 2020 Canadian Whisky Awards, proudly announces its 2021 release of Alberta® Premium Cask Strength Rye Whisky into the U.S. market. Hitting shelves this month as a limited time offering, this premium whisky showcases Alberta Distillers' expertise and skill in crafting true 100% rye whisky, which is a notoriously difficult grain to work with.

Made in Calgary, Alberta, Alberta® Premium Cask Strength Rye is crafted from 100% Canadian prairie rye grains grown by local farmers and nutrient-dense, glacier-fed spring water from the famed Rocky Mountains. The result is a perfectly balanced liquid that reflects the brand's unique natural surroundings, Canadian heritage, and expert whisky craftsmanship.

New Master Blender For Johnnie Walker as Industry Legend Retires

New Master Blender For Johnnie Walker as Industry Legend Retires

Emma Walker succeeds Jim Beveridge OBE becoming the first female Master Blender in the 200-year Johnnie Walker story

LONDON, Oct. 20, 2021  Today Johnnie Walker, the world's best-selling Scotch Whisky1, announces that Dr Emma Walker will take over the reins from Dr Jim Beveridge OBE, who retires at the end of the year after more than 40 years at Diageo, 20 of which as Master Blender.

Emma will be one of a small, select group of people, and the first female, to take on the coveted role of Master Blender in more than two centuries of the business's existence, the first being founder John Walker.

Aptly named, although no relation to the Walker family, Emma joined Diageo 13 years ago and has gained extensive knowledge and experience of Scotch production and innovation to become a highly respected blender who has worked extensively on Johnnie Walker for the last six years. Her innovations include the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series and Jane Walker by Johnnie Walker.

The role of Johnnie Walker Master Blender is one of the most coveted in the industry, and Emma will lead the 12-strong team of expert whisky makers in the pursuit of exceptional flavour, crafting and blending whisky from the four corners of Scotland to create the numerous Johnnie Walker variants which are sold in more than 180 countries around the world.

During her career, Emma has worked in different areas of whisky production; gaining experience and understanding of how flavour develops in fermentation, distillation, and maturation, striving to ensure quality at every stage of the process. She has spent several years working with Jim to develop an encyclopaedic understanding and knowledge of whisky.

In July, Diageo reported that global Scotch organic net sales grew 15% year-on-year with Johnnie Walker organic net sales up 12%, as the category benefited from the growing trend of premiumisation amongst consumers.

New Johnnie Walker Master Blender, Dr Emma Walker, says: "I am honoured to take on the title of Master Blender of Johnnie Walker, and at an exciting time for the brand as we embark on the next step of our journey looking ahead to the next 200 years. I love experimenting and innovating with flavour and we'll be working hard to not only continue to deliver the unrivalled quality that we are renowned for but also introducing blends to appeal to a new generation of Scotch Whisky fans."

She adds: "I have learnt so much over my career working with Jim - whose knowledge and generosity of spirit is unsurpassed in the world of whisky."

The announcement comes as Jim Beveridge retires after a four-decade career in whisky during which time he has been responsible for some of the world's most popular and acclaimed Scotch whisky blends including Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

His commitment to developing the ultimate whisky flavours began when he started his career with Johnnie Walker as an analytical chemist 42 years ago. He has gone on to establish himself as one of the most highly respected figures in the industry, renowned for his skill and dedication to quality. In 2019, he was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty the Queen for his services to the Scotch Whisky industry.

Dr Jim Beveridge OBE says: "It is with pleasure and confidence that I pass on this privilege to Emma. I know she will do a wonderful job as she possesses the knowledge, expertise, and dedication to make an amazing Master Blender. On a personal level I am delighted for her, and I know that her wonderfully infectious personality, that made working with her so enjoyable, will bring something exciting and different to the team and, indeed, to the wider Scotch industry."

Julie Bramham, Global Brand Director for Johnnie Walker, comments: "It is through Jim's tireless work, incredible expertise and dedication to quality that the iconic flavours of the Johnnie Walker portfolio are so popular today and we thank him for his outstanding contribution over the last four decades. Emma takes over at an exciting time, Scotch is being enjoyed in so many different ways by people from all over the world and I know that Emma and her team will continue to develop the exceptional tastes, textures and flavours that we are renowned for."

Emma will officially hold the title of Master Blender from 1 January 2022 and Jim will remain with the business until the end of the year.

Introducing Bowmore® No Corners to Hide to Global Travel Retail

Introducing Bowmore® No Corners to Hide to Global Travel RetailCHICAGO, Oct. 15, 2021- Bowmore has unveiled two new whiskies in the first release of Bowmore No Corners to Hide; an exciting collaboration between acclaimed graphic artist Frank Quitely, who has illustrated for Marvel and DC Comics, and Bowmore's Master Blender Ron Welsh.

Inspired by the most intriguing myths and legends from the remote island of Islay, each bottle in the collaboration features exclusive designs and artwork from Frank Quitely. The illustrations showcase Islay's far-reaching history and rich stories of a bygone era and embody the artistic expression of Bowmore's style.

The limited-edition series features two stunning single malts, 23-Year-Old and 32-Year-Old, which are exclusively available in select Global Travel Retail outlets including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Vienna, Dubai, Singapore and Taiwan.

The exceptional 23-Year-Old captures a whisky character inspired by the legendary story of No Corners to Hide. The spirit was nurtured in ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads to create the signature Bowmore style. Two years of further maturation followed in Essencia® barriques to create a powerful character conjuring up a sensory exploration of this mythical tale. It captures a hint of beeswax, a scent of incense and a struck match to transport the senses to Bowmore's round church. Each bottle is decorated with illustrations and sketches from Frank Quitely.

The 32-Year-Old captures a moment in time; a story as captivating as the myth it celebrates. An initial 30 years of maturation in ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads reflects a timely occupation in cask, much like the devil's own alleged escape. This was followed by two further years in Essencia® barriques to bring an unusually distinctive character to the fore, again combining beeswax, incense and struck match.

Evolving to Seville orange peel merged with the aromas of an old cigar box, but with sweet and floral interjections and finishing with a touch of liquorice and iodine, the 32-Year-Old is intriguing and ingenious in equal measure. Each bottle comes complete with a signed print from Frank Quitely, alongside original sketches and notes from the whisky making process.

Manuel González, Marketing Director GTR for Beam Suntory, said: "Bowmore has a rich history filled with myths and legends, and we're delighted to partner with the award-winning Frank Quitely to bring these tales to life. Possessing a proven track record of producing collectible artwork with both Marvel and DC, the Frank Quitely Collection is our latest exciting collaboration to offer luxury limited-editions to our customers."

The House Of Suntory Debuts The 2021 Limited-Edition Design Bottle Of Hibiki® Japanese Harmony™

CHICAGO, Oct. 18, 2021 The House of Suntory, the founding House of Japanese Whisky,  announces the release of a specially-designed, limited edition bottle of Hibiki® Japanese Harmony™. Adorned with painted flowers and flowing ribbons of water, this one-of-a-kind bottle was designed to represent the vital force of Japan's everchanging twenty-four seasons. This limited-edition bottle will be available in select global markets including the United States this month.

From its introduction in 1989, the Hibiki bottle is presented with 24 facets. The design symbolizes the 24 hours of a day, as well as the 24 seasons of the year in the traditional Japanese lunar calendar. The 2021 limited edition pays tribute to the Ryusui-Hyakka (One-Hundred Flowers and Flowing Water). The design motif epitomizes the cyclical passage of time, showcasing the blossoms of the Japanese twenty-four seasons juxtaposed with the ever-changing flow of water that connects one passing season to another. The Hibiki bottle celebrates the much-loved blooms, colors and shapes of seasonal flowers that make the Japanese year so special. A deep appreciation for the seasons and a sensitivity for the passage of time accounts for the Japanese culture's unique sense of harmony with nature. In tune with Suntory's philosophy, the design bottle series is the next iteration of the brand's continuous pursuit of harmony.

"The iconic Hibiki bottle has always been a representation of Japanese art and design, as represented by the many limited-edition series over the past ten years," said Jon Potter, Managing Director of the House of Suntory. "This specially-designed bottle is not only the continuation of this artistic expression, it honors Hibiki and Suntory's ethos to live in Harmony with nature. In 2021, this philosophy may echo with the world more than ever."

The Hibiki brand was introduced to the world in 1989 and since then has been embraced as the paragon of Japanese Whisky. It is not only Japan's most highly awarded blended whisky, but also among the most prestigious and honored whiskies in the world. Introduced in 2015, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is a harmonious blend blessed with the riches of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. Hibiki Japanese Harmony is a meticulous blend of the finest selection of malt and grain whiskies from the House of Suntory Whisky's Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. Berkshire Mountain Distillers Releases Smuttynose, Brewery Ommegang and Captain Lawrence Whiskies in Craft Brewers Whiskey Project Fall Release

Berkshire Mountain Distillers Releases Smuttynose, Brewery Ommegang and Captain Lawrence Whiskies in Craft Brewers Whiskey Project Fall Release

SHEFFIELD, Mass., Oct. 14, 2021  Berkshire Mountain Distillers (BMD) has released three new whiskies sourced from popular brewers Smuttynose Brewing, Brewery Ommegang, and Captain Lawrence Brewing as part of the Craft Brewers Whiskey Project.

These whiskies are part of a six-year collaboration led by BMD, award-winning maker of a select line of premier craft spirits, and includes the distilling of a dozen beers from a limited collection of Northeast craft brewers.

In July, the Craft Brewers Whiskey Project was cited in the 2021 US Open Whiskey & Spirits Grand National Championship where Jack's Abby Smoke & Dagger Whiskey won a Gold Medal. This success prompted BMD to distill another round of whiskies from brewers including Big Elm Brewing, Two Roads Brewing, and Night Shift Brewing.

"There's a wonderful amalgamation between the craft spirits and beer worlds – a lot of people who drink whiskey also love craft beer," said Chris Weld, founder of BMD. "We're excited these whiskeys are finally ready to be enjoyed and people are taking notice."

Featured in this month's release, the hearty malt build of Really Old Brown Dog Strong Ale from Smuttynose brings hints of wildflower honey and mandarin peel plus a slightly spicy finish of ginger snap to the BMD whiskey. Rich and complex, Brewery Ommegang's Three Philosophers is a blend of Belgian-style quadrupel and Belgian kriek, and gives this whiskey a malty depth and gentle sweetness with a touch of cherry. Liquid Gold from Captain Lawrence is a Belgo-American Ale – light golden in color, but packed with flavor bringing notes of clove and citrus to the finished whiskey.

First releases of the Craft Brewers Whiskey Project were distilled from six Massachusetts brewers including Samuel Adams, Berkshire Brewing Company, Jack's Abby, Massachusetts Bay Brewing, Spencer Brewery, and Big Elm Brewing – Big Elm is sold out. The final whiskey release during the holiday season will highlight Long Trail, Two Roads, and Chatham Brewing.

Whiskies are sold in the BMD tasting room and available in select stores. The distillery, located at 356 South Main Street in Sheffield, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit craftbrewerswhiskeyproject.com and BMD; follow Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Treaty Oak Distilling Partners With Highly Acclaimed Country Rock Band Whiskey Myers To Release New Red Handed Bourbon

Treaty Oak Distilling Partners With Highly Acclaimed Country Rock Band Whiskey Myers To Release New Red Handed Bourbon

Their first collaboration, Treaty Oak Distilling and Whiskey Myers' Red Handed Bourbon, will be available November 1 online at shoptreatyoak.com and at select retailers in FL, GA, TN, IL, NV, CA and TX, including at Treaty Oak Distilling's ranch in Dripping Springs

DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas, Oct. 14, 2021- Treaty Oak Distilling, the Texas-based distiller that crafts an awarded lineup of whiskeys, today announced a partnership with highly acclaimed country rock band Whiskey Myers. Their first collaboration, Treaty Oak Distilling and Whiskey Myers' Red Handed Bourbon, is a 95-proof (47.5% ABV) whiskey made to Treaty Oak Distilling's specifications by Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky, then aged for two years in Kentucky and Texas. It will be available starting November 1 at shoptreatyoak.com and at select retailers in FL, GA, TN, IL, NV, CA and TX, including at Treaty Oak Distilling's ranch in Dripping Springs.

"We celebrate our Texas roots every day at Treaty Oak, and partnering with Whiskey Myers, who have seen a meteoric rise since they cut their teeth right here in the bars and venues of Texas – we couldn't have dreamt of a better partner," said Tony Gonzales, Chief Marketing Officer of Treaty Oak Distilling. "Whiskey Myers embodies the rebel spirit that our Treaty Oak team has – the desire to break from convention and strive for the best, most authentic results. We're excited to work with them well into the future."

Like Treaty Oak Distilling, Whiskey Myers' roots can be traced back to East Texas, where they earned a local following that has been strengthened nationally by the success of five critically acclaimed albums to date. The band, known for their high-energy live shows and unique sound, is composed of Cody Cannon, Cody Tate, John Jeffers, Jeff Hogg, Jamey Gleaves and Tony Kent. Authenticity, collaboration and innovation have been key parts of Whiskey Myers' success, and those shared values formed the foundation of the band's partnership with Treaty Oak Distilling.

"It may surprise some people that, despite our name, we actually haven't always been big whiskey drinkers. We've had other opportunities to collaborate with whiskey brands over the years, but we never found the right fit – until we met the team at Treaty Oak Distilling," said lead guitarist John Jeffers of Whiskey Myers. "We connected with the people behind the brand immediately and related to everything they stand for – so much so that it inspired us to learn more about the spirit and find a drink we really love. We're excited to share it with our fans."

Treaty Oak Distilling and Whiskey Myers' Red Handed Bourbon is the first collaboration to come from the partnership. The bourbon, a new take on Treaty Oak Distilling's already-popular Red Handed offering, was crafted to Treaty Oak Distilling's specifications by Bardstown Bourbon Company and features a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% barley. Even at 95 proof, it is easy drinking with notes of honey that lead into hints of caramel, kettle corn and cured tobacco. Treaty Oak Distilling recommends enjoying Red Handed Bourbon neat or in Whiskey Myers' signature Mesquite Smoked Pecan Old Fashioned. Suggested retail price for a 75omL bottle, which may vary by market, is $39.99.

Treaty Oak Distilling and Whiskey Myers will be celebrating the launch of Red Handed Bourbon with samples available at the band's upcoming Wiggy Thump Festival benefiting the Anderson County Youth Livestock Association in Palestine, Texas on October 30.

Glenfiddich to be the First Partner to Release Rare Whisky via NFT with BlockBar, World's First Direct-to-Consumer NFT Platform for Wine & Spirits Products

- Trailblazing offering bridges physical and digital marketplace, enabling consumers to directly purchase, authenticate, and redeem a limited edition Glenfiddich 1973 46 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky finished for 21 years in an Armagnac cask

MIAMI, Oct. 13, 2021 Glenfiddich, the world's most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky brand, has partnered with BlockBar, the premier non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace for luxury wine and spirits products, to launch a series of 15 limited edition liquor NFTs. Each NFT corresponds to a physical, exceptional bottle of a 1973 46 year old Armagnac cask finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky that is sold by Glenfiddich.

The tokens are offered exclusively through BlockBar's innovative NFT platform, which enables Glenfiddich to digitize and sell exclusive spirits products as NFTs directly to consumers, whether for personal consumption, collecting, or investment purposes. Upon purchasing the NFT, the buyer can then become the owner of the real-world physical product represented by the NFT, with the NFT serving as a digital receipt that verifies the buyer's ownership and the authenticity of the product. The buyer has the choice at any time to resell or transfer the NFT through the BlockBar platform or to redeem it for the physical version. The benefits of purchase doesn't stop there; BlockBar is also responsible for storing the product and, upon request, delivering it to the buyer.

William Grant & Sons, Chief Commercial Officer, Doug Bagley comments on the partnership, "Glenfiddich continues to push boundaries in whisky innovation and this mindset transcends to those we partner with. We are proud to be the first luxury spirits brand to be available on BlockBar at the time of the launch. BlockBar brings a heightened level of authenticity to our brand via its proprietary NFT platform and creates an elite club of distinguished collectors with whom we're excited to build long-term relationships."

Utilizing BlockBar's state-of-the-art NFT platform to purchase Glenfiddich's whisky, buyers can be assured that their accounts won't be compromised and their NFT's won't be stolen, because the tokens are protected by FireBlocks' digital asset custody infrastructure and Chainalysis' compliance technology.

"This is an exceptionally rare example of 1973 Glenfiddich, a 46 year old whisky which has spent more than two decades in an Armagnac cask and is a fitting spirit for the launch of Glenfiddich's first and exclusive NFT release on BlockBar," comments Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman.

The first series of Glenfiddich NFTs will launch on October 19, 2021, on a first come, first served basis. Buyers may purchase the NFTs from BlockBar with Ethereum (ETH) or by credit card.

"BlockBar values transparency, authenticity, and quality assurance, and our partnership with Glenfiddich, the pinnacle of high end spirits, is the perfect partner to mark the launch of our mission to bridge the physical and digital worlds of luxury," said Dov Falic, CEO of BlockBar. "We're extremely proud to be providing the very first direct-to-consumer, fully authenticated wine & spirits platform via an NFT marketplace. This is an exciting and momentous time for the crypto, NFT, and luxury wine & spirits communities, and we can't wait to announce many more exclusive releases in the near future."

About Glenfiddich
Family run since 1887, Glenfiddich is the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky. In the summer of 1886 our founder, William Grant, set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition of creating the 'best dram in the valley'. With the help of his seven sons and two daughters, William built his distillery in a single year. Their hard work was rewarded on Christmas Day 1887 when the first drop of spirit flowed from the small copper pot stills. William named his distillery Glenfiddich, Gaelic for 'Valley of the Deer'. Now, over 130 years later, Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and our whisky has become the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, a true reflection of the passion, integrity and innovative spirit that have been passed down through the generations.

Knoxville's Brewing and Distilling Center Offers New Spring Semester, Spots to Fill Quickly

Knoxville's Brewing and Distilling Center Offers New Spring Semester, Spots to Fill Quickly

Premier beer brewing school in the Southeast announces the next session of classes with limited availability.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 13, 2021 - The Brewing & Distilling Center (BDC), the premier beer brewing school in the Southeast, announces its next session of classes for its Spring Semester.

The next session of the BDC's Professional Brewing/Distilling Technology (PBDT) certificate program begins February 14, 2022, and extends to May 11, 2022. This 13-week, 12 hours weekly, and 154 total hour program covers all topics and skills necessary to procure entry-level industry jobs, assistant brewer-distiller jobs, or even open your own business, depending on your previous skills and experience. All topics and courses are instructed by current professional brewers and distillers or experts in the selected field of study.

The need for distillery jobs has grown significantly at a rate of 13% per year from 2016-2021 according to IBIS World's Whiskey & Bourbon Distilleries in the US Industry Report.

"The craft beer distillery industry is absolutely booming. We need trained and qualified folks to continue to make the amazing beer and spirits that we are currently enjoying," said Todd White, President, and Founder of the Brewing & Distilling Center. "There is a great shortage of trained and skilled distillers and the Brewing & Distilling Center program is helping fill that void in the industry."

The BDC has an impressive track record of post-graduation job placement because of its great training reputation and networking in the brewing and distilling industry. This is a true trade school where the training is thorough, inclusive, and time and cost-efficient. No time or tuition costs are wasted on unnecessary courses or degrees.

This course work is designed to train anyone to be employable in the brewing or distilling industries. Strong classroom work, explaining the theories of brewing and distilling, will set the tone for practical brewhouse and distillery hands-on experience. The BDC has its own Brewing Pilot System to brew as many batches as possible. We will also visit other local breweries and distilleries for lectures and hands-on work. All classes are taught by experts in their field, professional brewers, and distillers. There is no other brewing and distilling training in the South that compares to our proven method and industry networking that results in jobs after graduation.

BDC graduates have gone on to work at Founders Brewing Co., Blackberry Farm Brewery, Terrapin Brewing Co., Sugarlands Distilling, Tennessee Distilling Group, Old Forge Distilling, Knox Whiskey Works, Old Tennessee Distilling, Blackhorse Brew Pub, Crafty Bastard Brewing Co., Smoky Mountain Brewing Co., Lagunitas Brewing Co., Karl Strauss Brewing Co., Stone Brewing Co., Pretentious Brewing Co., Gypsy Circus Cider, Geezers Brewing, Scofflaw Brewing, Last Days of Autumn Brewing.

The total tuition is $8,499.00 which includes textbooks, lab fees, and brewhouse expenses. There are 2 options for classes that include On-Premise-Ground PBDT in Knoxville as well as a Hybrid PBDT program. US military veterans can utilize their Post 911/GI Bill Educational Benefits for full tuition for the On-Ground PBDT option.

The BDC truly practices what it preaches: "Get the training; get the job!"

Redemption Whiskey Launches Limited Edition Cognac Cask Finish with Ferrand Cognac

Redemption Whiskey Launches Limited Edition Cognac Cask Finish with Ferrand Cognac

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 12, 2021 Redemption Whiskey released today the latest addition to the brand's Specialty Series: Redemption Cognac Cask Finish. To create this limited-edition offering, Redemption collaborated with Ferrand Cognac – one of the world's most revered Cognac houses – to finish the award-winning High Rye Bourbon in Cognac casks.

The resulting whiskey delivers bold and spicy notes balanced with an elegant, warming sweetness akin to Cognac. It has a warming, long finish of buttered pecan, praline, and baking spice.

"Redemption is on a mission to bring rye back to a new generation of consumers with high-quality whiskeys meant to be shared and savored," said Dave Carpenter, Redemption Whiskey's Master Blender. "Our new, limited-edition Cognac Cask Finish invites consumers to take a step back in time through our liquid. They will discover a unique take on our award-winning, pre-Prohibition-inspired High Rye Bourbon, which has been finished with world-class barrels from Ferrand Cognac, resulting in a beautifully finished whiskey."

After transferring Redemption High Rye Bourbon (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley) from new American white oak barrels to the Cognac casks, the whiskey matures for an additional 12 months. The casks, some of which are more than 30 years old, add rich flavors, subtle warming nuances, and complexity.

"We challenged our artisan teams at Redemption and Ferrand Cognac to create a small production Redemption offering worthy of gifting to the most discerning whiskey lovers," said Tom Steffanci, President of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, which produces Redemption. "The resulting whiskey exceeds all expectations. It is a great example of our ongoing commitment to push the boundaries of what's possible with our rye-forward whiskeys."

American rye whiskey continues to be one of the fastest-growing spirits on the market with double-digit annual growth since 2020 (Impact Databank, Aug 30, 2021). With Dave Carpenter at the helm of blending, Redemption's Specialty Series portfolio focuses on innovation and elevates America's original favorite spirit – rye – with a focus on aging, blending, and finishing.

In addition to this latest release, the Redemption Specialty Series portfolio is comprised of Redemption Wheated Bourbon, Redemption Rum Cask Finish, and Redemption High Rye Bourbon Single Barrel Select. The Redemption portfolio also includes Redemption Straight Rye Whiskey, Redemption High Rye Bourbon, Redemption Bourbon, and Limited Edition Barrel Selections.

The limited-run, 99-proof (49.5% ABV) Redemption Cognac Cask Finish Whiskey is now available on shelves nationwide while supplies last, with a suggested retail price of $69.99/750 ML.

Introducing The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao - A Unique Collaboration Bringing the Worlds of Chocolate and Whisky to Life

The first limited edition whisky in a new annual series exploring the world of sustainable packaging

NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2021 - The Macallan has unveiled The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao, the first limited edition whisky in an innovative new series of single malts that will see the brand progress its journey towards sustainable packaging.

Sustainability has been a constant guiding principle for The Macallan since it began crafting its single malt whisky in perfect harmony with the beautiful nature that surrounds The Macallan Estate in Scotland's Speyside in 1824. Inspired by The Macallan's deep-rooted connection to nature for nearly 200 years, The Harmony Collection is an exploration into the world of sustainable packaging. Fusing together innovative techniques with materials from the natural world at the end of their life to see them reborn with a renewed purpose.

To create the first edition in this new limited annual release series, The Macallan Whisky Maker Polly Logan embarked on a unique journey to Girona, Spain, where she immersed herself in the world of chocolate, exploring the chocolate-making process and uncovering the distinctive flavor profiles. "As I immersed myself in this world, I uncovered a great synergy between the whisky-making process and that of chocolate. Both take time and exceptional attention to detail, with even the slightest changes to the process encouraging different aromas and flavors to emerge," said Polly Logan, The Macallan Whisky Maker.

Polly collaborated with world-renowned pastry chef, Jordi Roca, the youngest of the acclaimed Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca, with whom The Macallan has a long-standing relationship. As part of the exploration, she visited Jordi's famed chocolate factory, Casa Cacao in Girona and she also spent time with master chocolatier, Damian Allsop. Polly Logan, Whisky Maker for The Macallan said: "Working in collaboration with Jordi Roca, acknowledged as one of the best and most creative pastry chefs in the world, and with exceptional chocolatier, Damian Allsop, I went on a journey of discovery, learning of the craftsmanship, passion and creativity which goes into making chocolate."

Through this unique experience, Polly drew inspiration from the duo's passion, knowledge and creativity to create The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao, searching the sherry seasoned oak casks maturing at The Macallan Estate to identify rare, indulgent chocolate notes. "The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao is a wonderful expression which brings together the world of whisky with the fascinating world of chocolate" said Polly Logan, Whisky Maker for The Macallan.

Jordi Roca said: "Our collaboration with The Macallan allows us to challenge our own creativity, and in this project, we have been allowed to play with cacao, which is one of my passions. Being able to inspire a whisky and to create a unique tasting experience has been wonderful."

Crafted from a harmonious combination of European and American oak casks, the result is an exceptionally rich single malt whisky characterized by a deep, dark chocolate profile, which pairs perfectly with the richest chocolate for a luxurious sensorial experience. In homage to its chocolate inspiration, The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao is encased in a beautiful fully recyclable and biodegradable presentation box, made using natural by-products in the chocolate-making process. The box is crafted without compromise using discarded husks from cacao pods and brings together The Macallan's renowned craftsmanship with contemporary packaging techniques aimed at minimizing waste.

"For this expression, I sought out a specific chocolate note in The Macallan's traditional sherry seasoned European oak casks and combined this with a vanilla note imparted by sherry seasoned American oak casks to sweeten the slightly bitter chocolate note I had found. This exquisite single malt offers a delightful whisky and chocolate pairing experience and the chance to elevate The Macallan experience to a new dimension" said Polly Logan, The Macallan Whisky Maker.

The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao will be available globally starting in October 2021 for a suggested retail price of $160.

In celebration of the worlds of whisky and chocolate coming together, The Macallan Scotch Whisky collaborated with the nation's leading luxury handmade gourmet chocolate brand, Compartés Chocolate and CEO Jonathan Grahm who is known as one of the youngest and most prolific artisan chocolatiers in the country, to create a unique whisky and chocolate pairing tasting set. This limited edition tasting set (only 200 available for purchase) will highlight The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao and Compartés chocolates that compliment the whisky's tasting notes for a multi-sensory experience.

The Macallan Harmony Collection: Rich Cacao & Compartés Chocolate Tasting Set will be available starting on November 8th, 2021 for pre-order exclusively on ReserveBar. The pairing tasting set includes a bottle of The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao, a 10-piece box of custom-made chocolate from Compartés Chocolate inspired by the tasting notes of the whisky, a pairing guide to take you through the tasting journey as well as two of The Macallan glencairn glasses.

Penderyn Distillery Unveils New Limited-Edition Rhiannon Single Malt Whisky, the Latest Expression From the Exclusive Icons of Wales Series

Penderyn Distillery Unveils New Limited-Edition Rhiannon Single Malt Whisky, the Latest Expression From the Exclusive Icons of Wales Series

Named after the powerful enchantress in Welsh folk tales, Penderyn Icons of Wales Rhiannon is the seventh release from the series and is partly matured in some of the finest Bordeaux red wine Grand Cru casks from Margaux, France.

Brecon Beacons, Wales – October 11, 2021: The award-winning Penderyn Distillery has announced the release of Penderyn Icons of Wales Rhiannon (46% ABV, RRP US$95), the latest expression in its highly anticipated Icons of Wales series. These special bottlings, celebrating a person, milestone, or event from Welsh history with international significance, are some of the most coveted releases for their unique attributes and rarity. The new limited-edition whisky is available in the US starting this month, with a one-time limited distribution of only 500 cases (3,000 bottles).

Penderyn Icons of Wales Rhiannon is named after a powerful enchantress and horse goddess from the ancient Welsh folk tales, The Mabinogi, written in the 11th century and are some of the earliest writings in Europe. More recently Rhiannon featured in the hit song of the same name by Fleetwood Mac.

What's unique about this release?

Penderyn Icons of Wales Rhiannon was distilled in Penderyn’s signature style, using a single copper-pot that produces a flavorful spirit of extraordinary strength and purity. The resulting spirit is from a vatting of Oloroso sherry matured with Bordeaux Grand Cru matured single malt whiskies.

On the nose, Penderyn Icons of Wales Rhiannon brings a spicy sweetness with the hint of vanilla; oak tannins, red berries, blackcurrants, hazelnuts, pears, sultanas and sweet marzipan. In the mouth, the spirit offers a smooth velvety sweetness; creamy caramel, figs, red berries, delicate frangipane, chocolate ganache and a touch of coffee. The finish is sweet and dry with long lingering oak tannins.

Renowned for the quality of the spirit inside the bottle, Penderyn Distillery has also made its mark for the elegant and modern approach to bottling and packaging. Previously, the company garnered much acclaim for the design of its Gold Range, and more recently, Penderyn secured a Gold Medal in the 2019 Spirits Business Design & Packaging Awards for Penderyn Icons of Wales Rhiannon.
