From DBR:
Master of Malt, a UK-based online retailer of fine spirits, has released a series of four new single malt whiskies under a new independent bottling label ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company.’
The new series of single malts are produced in small batches from hand-selected parcels of whiskey from each of the four distilleries in Ardbeg, Macallan, Caperdonich and Port Ellen, based on which the four whiskies are named.
The new bottles feature hand-illustrated labels that portray scenes inspired by the stories and legends generated by the distilleries themselves over their many centuries of production. All the bottles are individually numbered along with the distillery location. Each bottle is 500ml and hand-dipped in black wax.
Ardbeg - Batch 1 is a smooth blend with flavors of acacia honey on peat smoked oatcakes with slices of lemon and orange toppings and sea salted caramel finish. Macallan - Batch 1 is a sherried blend with notes of Christmas cake, calvados and warm spice.
Caperdonich - Batch 1 possesses stewing grapes, raisins, apple-wood ash and pear drops smell with a palate of rhubarb slathered in custard. Port Ellen - Batch 1 has strong notes of lemon sherbet, chamois leather and a wisp delicate peat smoke.
The company further plans to extend the range with new additions and hand-designed label.
