Crafted by six-time Master Blender of the Year Stephanie Macleod, DEWAR'S Double Double 38-Year-Old showcases DEWAR'S unique four-stage aging process, while paying homage to the Northern Highlands of Scotland. This innovative method begins with a carefully selected blend of single malt whiskies from the Islay and Highland regions, each aged for at least 38 years. After blending, the whiskies are aged an additional month in their original casks.

What sets this whisky apart is the inclusion and blending of a reserved portion of 2023's release - DEWAR'S Double Double 37-Year-Old - which was held back and given an extra year to mature. This pioneering technique of blending successive releases annually is a brand-led innovation, showcasing how DEWAR'S continues to raise the bar in luxury whisky. The final blend is then transferred into Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, previously used to age the prestigious ROYAL BRACKLA® Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, for several additional months of maturation. This final finishing process deepens the whisky's complexity, resulting in an exquisitely aromatic and nuanced finish.

Available for $1,799, every 375ml bottle of this rare, limited-edition whisky will be presented with two exquisitely crafted Baccarat Massena Tumblers to further elevate each tasting experience into a celebration.

HAMILTON, Bermuda, Sept. 26, 2022 - DEWAR'S® Blended Scotch Whisky, the world's most awarded blended Scotch whisky, has unveiled the new DEWAR'S 12-Year-Old Blended Scotch Whisky. With a new look and feel, DEWAR'S 12-year-old has been taken to the next level with a whisky that balances complexity, flavor and smoothness.

Double-aging the whisky in hand-selected, first-fill American Oak Bourbon casks for the first time has created a distinctly different experience for drinkers, with a greater breadth and depth of flavor, and a radically richer mouthfeel. The new whisky builds upon the renowned DEWAR'S house style of floral, honeyed Highland whisky, with a hint of smoke.

Showcasing up to 40 of Scotland's finest single malt and grain whiskies, the new liquid was created by DEWAR'S Master Blender, Stephanie Macleod, who was recently awarded Master Blender of the Year for the fourth time by the International Whisky Competition. The 2022 edition, crafted by three-time award-winning Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, is a 19-year-old Scotch Whisky double-aged with an extra-matured finish exclusively in ex-Bourbon, new American Oak casks and ex-Rye Whiskey casks.

The balanced and vibrant whisky is as rich and complex as the legendary game of golf, featuring notes of heather, honey, butterscotch, and cinnamon spice with a rich and fruit forward finish. "When creating this blend of scotch whiskies, I wanted to ensure the craft and traditions of over 175 years of Dewar's whisky distillation and blending in Scotland were fully enhanced by the best of American wood and cask aging. We took pristine new American oak casks that have never been used to age either bourbon or sherry prior to this 19-year-old scotch and we finished many of this blend's components in these. Then we took ex-Bourbon and ex-Rye whiskey casks to finish other components in it. The result is a DEWAR'S 19-year-old whisky, that on the nose has a combination of vanilla and wood spices, followed on the palate by flavor notes of dried apricot, butterscotch and hints of vanilla." says Stephanie Macleod, Master Blender for DEWAR'S. DEWAR'S will become the official blended Scotch whisky of the U.S. Open, beginning with the 121^st  U.S. Open Championship, scheduled for June 14-20, 2021, at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California.
