Society Cask No 133.5 Outturn 1 of 188 Impersonating Peat 7-Year American Single Malt Whiskey
Whiskey JYPSI introduces Tribute Double Barreled Bourbon
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – March 5, 2025: JYPSI Spirits announced the launch of its fourth whiskey today: Whiskey JYPSI Tribute Double Barreled Bourbon. Tribute is an 86-proof, straight bourbon whiskey aged a minimum of 4 years and double-barreled in new American Oak. Today’s Tribute release follows the prior introductions of the company’s industry-acclaimed and award-winning Legacy and Explorer whiskeys in 2023 and 2024. Images are available here.
“This is a whiskey with a price point and a flavor profile everybody can enjoy, but with the same high-quality approach we’ve taken with our other whiskeys. And that’s what we were looking for with Tribute,” says co-founder and music artist, Eric Church.
Whiskey JYPSI’s Tribute is priced at $44.99 and will be available online at shop.whiskeyjypsi.com and in select liquor stores.
Once the mash is distilled and aged at least four years in charred new American Oak barrels, Tribute then takes the extra step of proofing down its whiskey and re-barreling it for an additional 3 to 6 months – also in new American Oak. This gives Tribute its additional aromas of vanilla and caramel and a refined flavor most everyday bourbons cannot match – along with its deep, robust color. Tribute is then bottled at 86-proof for a rich, bold flavor with smooth drinkability.
What also makes the blend unique is the source of the grains. Whiskey JYPSI whiskey maker Ari Sussman said, “Instead of using commodity grains from large commercial farming operations for efficiency, the company contracted with small family farms willing to grow more flavorful, varietal-stated grains specifically intended for making whiskey. These sustainably raised grains for Tribute include a variety of the once-sacred Cherokee White Corn.”
Church added, “With Tribute, we're also honoring and working with small communities and local farmers to make this whiskey… I’m from Appalachia, so I love the small-town and artisanal element. And it's those points of differentiation that, to me, make a major difference with people who drink whiskey.”
“Typically, companies won’t do all this because it takes more time and costs more money,” said JYPSI Spirits co-founder and owner Raj Alva. “But if you’re committed to making a better bourbon, you not only use the best distilling and blending practices; you start with the very finest grains that make up that whiskey in the first place and go above and beyond conventional processes at every level of production. That’s what we did with Tribute."

March at a suggested minimum retail price of $79.99 per 750-mL bottle.
Rio continues Penelope's legacy of innovation with its unique blending and finishing techniques. Inspired by Brazilian joy, this limited-allocation release is sought after by bourbon collectors and connoisseurs, though it was crafted to be shared in celebratory moments by anyone looking for an innovative bourbon. With a mash bill of 74% corn, 7% rye, 16% wheat and 3% malted barley, this party in a bottle delights the senses with its double finish in American honey and Brazilian Amburana oak barrels.
"Rio is one of our most unique releases of the year," said Mike Paladini, Penelope Bourbon founder and vice president of strategy for MGP. "The combination of a double finish using Brazilian Amburana barrels and honey barrels complement each other so well. This year's came out incredible and we can't wait for people to enjoy it."
Rio brings a sweet honey aroma with a fun cinnamon roll note on the nose, tastes of gingerbread, honey nectar and sweet baking spice on the palate, and a long and savory finish with subtle notes of sweet honey and spice.
"Rio is one of the more interesting blends we make. The unlikely marriage between the American honey and Brazilian hardwood barrels produces a unique mix of flavor notes," said Danny Polise, Penelope Bourbon founder and master blender. "I still remember the first time we blended the two finishes to reveal what this double finish could be. I loved it for the innovative flavor profile. Something different and fun to enjoy and share."
Rio won Double Gold in the American Blended Whiskey category at the 2024 SIP Awards. As one of the most popular expressions in the Penelope Cooper Series, Rio represents innovation and artistry in bourbon through its inspired flavor profile and unique finishing process. THE GLEN GRANT'S SPLENDOURS COLLECTION LAUNCHES WITH EXQUISITE 65-YEAR-OLD SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY
Distilled in Scotland in 1958, the 65-Year-Old is the first from a new collection which features some of the rarest whiskies maturing at The Glen Grant distillery
To mark the occasion, The Glen Grant has partnered with renowned artist group Random International to reveal "Seasons," an innovative painting performance from their Pixelography series, in Hong Kong
ROTHES, Scotland, March 3, 2025 - The Glen Grant ascends to new heights with the introduction of the Splendours Collection, an exquisite selection from the rarest whiskies maturing at The Glen Grant distillery. The collection of highly limited releases, which will be unveiled over the coming years, debuts with an extraordinary 65-Year-Old single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1958 and nurtured to perfection for over six decades.
An Inspired Design
Taking creative inspiration from the distillery's iconic Garden of Splendours, each release in the Splendours Collection is a handcrafted masterpiece paying homage to natural elements that grow and flourish within the grounds. The first of the releases, the 65-Year-Old, is a tribute to the Himalayan Blue Poppy, one of the rarest flowers on earth and a symbol of the eternal quest for excellence that defines The Glen Grant. Still blooming in the Garden today, this iconic flower serves as a lasting reference to the distillery's charismatic forefather, James 'The Major' Grant, who sowed the seeds for The Glen Grant's legacy in both whisky-making and its celebrated gardens.
The Glen Grant 65-Year-Old is presented in 151 handcrafted decanters designed by John Galvin and Glasstorm, each uniquely designed as a Mobius strip seed pod—a continuous, flowing loop symbolising the timelessness of nature. Intricately engraved with Himalayan Blue Poppies and crafted from wood species still living in the Garden today, the decanter design bridges nature's elegance with The Glen Grant's pursuit of excellence.
A Remarkable Whisky
This extraordinary high-age whisky reflects the distillery's unwavering dedication to quality. Distilled in slender coal-fired pot stills that define The Glen Grant's signature style, it was then filled into a single French oak butt and left to mature to perfection for decades. The whisky was taken carefully from Warehouse No.4, the distillery's oldest traditional stone dunnage warehouse, in 2025 to reveal itself to the world.
Greig Stables, Master Distiller at The Glen Grant, remarked:
"The true scarcity of this spirit at 65 Years Old is testament to the unwavering approach to whisky making and visionary innovation which has defined The Glen Grant. Although distilled back in 1958, the methods remain almost entirely the same today reflecting the legacy of our forefathers. This whisky captures a lifetime of flavour and character from its journey in a single French oak butt retaining the distinct and singular character of The Glen Grant."
The Glen Grant continues to solidify its reputation for crafting exceptional ultra-luxury whiskies with recent notable releases, including Devotion 70-Year-Old, a masterful collaboration with acclaimed artist John Galvin, and The Visionary One of One, an exclusive 68-Year-Old expression created for the prestigious Distillers' One of One auction.
The Glen Grant 65-Year-Old is released in key markets across the world at RSP of $50,000USD.
The Glen Grant x Random International: A Celebration in Hong Kong
To celebrate the launch, The Glen Grant has partnered with the renowned post-digital art group Random International to present "Seasons": a live performance painting experience during the upcoming Art Week in Hong Kong. This exclusive event draws inspiration from the cycles of nature in The Garden of Splendours and the timeless elegance of the Splendours Collection.
"Seasons" is a custom iteration of Random International's Pixelography series, making its debut in the Asian art scene. This proprietary process transforms endlessly reproducible digital source data into hand-painted masterpieces, redefining the intersection between the digital and the physical.
This captivating performance will feature the creation of 65 bespoke artworks , symbolising the 65-Year-Old decanter and the passage of the four seasons. During the public exhibition, guests will witness the artistic process unfold while savouring The Glen Grant whisky, experiencing a multisensory journey into the rich narrative of the Splendours Collection. The experience will be open to the public at The Upper House Hong Kong as part of Swire Properties Arts Month on March 27-28, 2025 from 12-3 pm HKT.
"Our bespoke Pixelography performance 'Seasons' is an artistic response to The Glen Grant's celebration of cyclical change in The Garden of Splendours, especially spanning across the decades it took to craft and perfect the 65-Year-Old," said Hannes Koch, co-founder of Random International. "This informed our creation of the custom source imagery for 'Seasons'; and it is also embodied in the Pixelography process itself, wrestling unlimited, intangible, digital imagery back into the finite, material world through the very act of painting."

ABOUT THE GLEN GRANT
Brothers James and John Grant built The Glen Grant in 1840 as the first distillery in the town of Rothes in Speyside. They left a legacy of ingenuity by engineering the first northern railroad and introducing electric light to both the distillery and the entire town. In 1872, heir James 'The Major' Grant, a charismatic innovator and adventurous traveller, inherited the business. Through his intrepid journeys to destinations around the world, he made inspiring discoveries which led to the creation of his sprawling Garden of Splendours, the only distillery garden of its kind in Scotland. Inspired by his splendid garden, he envisioned a distinctive single malt, engineering tall, slender pot stills combined with unique water-cooling purifiers to create the evocative flavour profile that defines The Glen Grant Single Malt Scotch Whisky to this day.
Now, it is Master Distiller Greig Stables and his team of passionate whisky-makers who carry forward the rich legacy of The Glen Grant, following in the footsteps of predecessor Dennis Malcolm OBE, one of the longest-serving distillers in Scotland. The expert distilling team crafts each whisky from barley to bottle entirely on the distillery grounds, maintaining the distinct character of the Glen Grant whiskies and ensuring the utmost quality.

Penderyn Distillery Celebrates St. David’s Day 2025 with Its Award-Winning Welsh Whisky Range - "Make Welsh Whisky Great Again"
Penderyn Distillery, proudly known as the home of Welsh whisky, is thrilled to celebrate St. David’s Day on Saturday, March 1, 2025, by showcasing its exceptional and diverse range of single malt whiskies.
As Wales’ pioneering whisky distillery in over a century, Penderyn invites whisky enthusiasts and patriots ("Make Welsh Whisky Great Again") alike to raise a glass to the patron saint of Wales with its world-renowned spirits, crafted in the heart of the Brecon Beacons and beyond.
Since its inaugural release on St. David’s Day 2004, launched in the presence of King Charles III (then Prince Charles), Penderyn has revitalised Welsh whisky-making, blending tradition with innovation.
Today, operating from three distilleries—Penderyn (Brecon Beacons), Llandudno, and Swansea—the distillery continues to produce award-winning expressions that reflect the purity of Welsh spring water, the expertise of its all-female distilling team, and the artistry of its unique Faraday stills. With a global reputation solidified by over 100 Double Gold, Gold, and Masters awards, Penderyn’s St. David’s Day celebration is a testament to its journey from a visionary idea in a Welsh pub to an internationally celebrated brand.
Penderyn's new Icon No 12, Penderyn ‘Copperopolis’ - to celebrate the historic copper industry in Wales and Penderyn’s Swansea Copperworks Distillery – can be pre ordered from 1st of March and ships in the UK by the end of the month.
Penderyn’s whisky portfolio is as rich and varied as the Welsh landscape, offering something for every connoisseur. The distillery’s signature style shines through its Gold Range, bottled at 46% ABV, featuring five distinct expressions:
Madeira Finish: The original Penderyn “house style,” matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Madeira wine casks, delivers a smooth, creamy profile with notes of toffee, sultanas, and apples—a perfect balance of fruit and finesse.
Sherrywood: Rich and complex, this whisky, finished in sherry casks, offers sweet stewed fruits, caramel, and hints of dark chocolate, appealing to those who savor depth and warmth.
Portwood: With its rosy hue and maturation in ex-Tawny Port casks, this expression bursts with dried fruits, salted caramel, floral honey, and a spicy black pepper kick, ending in a tannic dryness.
Peated: A delightful surprise born from an accidental purchase of ex-Islay peated casks, it combines gentle peat smoke with citrus, seaweed, and a lingering sweetness—an unexpected gem in the lineup.
Rich Oak: A robust offering with vanilla, oak, and a savory spice, this whisky highlights the influence of carefully selected casks for a bold yet harmonious finish.
For those seeking an accessible introduction, the Dragon Range, bottled at 41% ABV, embodies Welsh spirit with three expressions:
Legend: Finished in Madeira casks, it’s light and fruity with a hint of oak, reflecting the dragon of the Welsh flag.
Myth: Matured in bourbon barrels and finished in red wine casks, this sweeter whisky boasts a rounded balance of fruits and candy.
Celt: A peated delight with light smoke and ripe fruit notes, finished in ex-Islay casks, it’s a nod to Wales’ rugged heritage.
Penderyn also dazzles with its Icons of Wales series, commemorating Welsh history and culture. Past releases like The Headliner, honouring David Lloyd George, showcase Penderyn’s knack for storytelling through whisky.
For collectors, Penderyn’s Single Cask offerings, such as the rare ex-Tawny Port Single Cask #PT266 (only 18 bottles), provide exclusive, handcrafted experiences. These limited editions, signed by the distillery team, are highly sought after for their bespoke flavours and rarity.
To mark the occasion, Penderyn’s distillery shops in Penderyn, Llandudno, and Swansea will be open seven days a week, offering tours and masterclasses (Wednesday to Sunday through March 1, 2025).
Visitors can explore the distilling process, sample the range, and discover what makes Penderyn whisky uniquely Welsh. The distillery’s commitment to sustainability shines through its pulp packaging, made from recycled cardboard, aligning with its ethos of honoring Wales’ natural beauty.
“St. David’s Day is a moment to celebrate our heritage and the global journey of Welsh whisky,” says Stephen Davies, Penderyn’s CEO. “From our Gold Range to our Icons of Wales, each bottle tells a story of craftsmanship and pride. We invite everyone to join us in toasting Wales this March 1st.”
Penderyn whiskies are available at www.penderyn.wales and select retailers worldwide. Whether neat, with a splash of water, or paired with Welsh fare like lamb or dark chocolate, Penderyn’s range promises a St. David’s Day experience that’s as unforgettable as Wales itself.

TINCUP Whiskey's New Bourbon Leads Trio of Releases in 2025
Lineup includes two new hero expressions – an upgraded TINCUP Original American Whiskey, now aged 6 years, and an all-new, 100% bourbon - followed by a 10-year, 100 proof rye exclusively available in Colorado
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Feb. 25, 2025 - TINCUP® Whiskey, beloved by adventurers and whiskey lovers alike, is gearing up for 2025 with a trio of new releases, inclusive of two new hero products marked at more accessible price points – TINCUP Bourbon and TINCUP 6-Year Original American Whiskey – and a limited-time offering, TINCUP 10-Year Rye, available exclusively in its home state of Colorado.
A New Basecamp: TINCUP Bourbon
Rounding out the brand's straight bourbon offerings, TINCUP Bourbon joins the legendary TINCUP Fourteener®- and TINCUP 10-Year with a lower-proof, more accessibly priced option. Cut with Rocky Mountain water, the straight bourbon – marked at an approachable 80 proof – is matured in charred new American white oak casks for at least four years. Complete with a sweet, smooth finish, the liquid includes hints of vanilla cream and caramel on the nose and butterscotch, dried orange and allspice on the palate. At an SRP of $24.99 per 750ml bottle, the new addition to the lineup is an accessible onramp to the category and the TINCUP family. Availability starts in February 2025.
An Elevated New Take: TINCUP 6-Year Original American Whiskey
Next up is TINCUP 6-Year Original American Whiskey, a more seasoned and elevated take on its mainstay TINCUP Original. A marriage of high rye straight bourbon whiskey, now aged a longer six years and kissed with more American single malt whiskey, adding a subtly sweet complexity to every sip. The new hero product gives TINCUP fans an enhanced liquid at the same $27.99 suggested retail price point they're accustomed to, a testament to the brand's commitment to producing high quality products without taking away the accessibility it is known for. Still at an approachable 84 proof – and bottled at 5,251 feet elevation – the liquid includes hints of citrus, black pepper and ginger snap on the nose and rye spice, cinnamon and caramel on the palate. The 750ml bottle will roll out to retailers nationwide starting in early 2025 as an upgrade to TINCUP Original.
A New, Limited-Time Offering: TINCUP 10-Year Straight Rye Whiskey
Finally, whiskey adventurers based in TINCUP's home state of Colorado can treat themselves to TINCUP 10-Year Straight Rye Whiskey - the brand's oldest rye to date. Bottled at 100 proof, the liquid marries the bold, pure, untamed flavor of TINCUP with a full decade of oak barrel aging. A first-ever limited-time offering available at retailers across the Rocky Mountain State, locals can find the bottle at an SRP of $64.99.

Michter's Announces 2025 Release of Its US*1 Barrel Strength Rye
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 25, 2025 -- Michter's Master Distiller Dan McKee and Michter's Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson have approved the release of Michter's US*1 Barrel Strength Rye. Shipments to bars, restaurants, and stores will begin this March.
"When we began selling our rye many years ago, American rye whiskey was virtually an afterthought for a lot of people. Our team takes pride in our ryes, and it's great to see how this category of wonderful whiskey has returned to the forefront," observed Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco.
With a mashbill that, while being majority rye grain, has a good deal of corn and malted barley as well, Michter's Ryes are Kentucky style. "We often have people at a tasting that say they are not rye drinkers, but when they taste Michter's they are surprised by how much they enjoy it," said McKee. "This Kentucky style rye at barrel strength is another fantastic way to enjoy the traditional characteristics of a rye whiskey while offering a nice balance of sweetness and spice."
Michter's US*1 Barrel Strength Rye is a single barrel product, and the average proof of the barrels in this 2025 release is 110.5 proof (55.25% ABV). The suggested retail price for a 750ml bottle in the U.S. is $120.
Speaking of US*1 Barrel Strength Rye, Wilson commented, "It is an absolute honor to share such a wonderful representation of what American rye can be with its baking spice, dark fruit, toffee, and fragrant citrus and floral notes all within a round, smooth, complex finish to be contemplated and savored. I could not be prouder of our team and the efforts to create such a refined American rye that tips our hat to the history of rye whiskey in this country."
In October 2024, Michter's became the first whiskey to be named in two consecutive years The World's Most Admired Whiskey by a vote of an international academy of voters announced by UK based Drinks International. Michter's has a rich and long legacy of offering traditional American whiskeys of uncompromising quality. With each of its limited production offerings aged to its peak maturity, Michter's highly acclaimed portfolio includes bourbon, rye, sour mash whiskey, and American whiskey.

Award-Winning Edmond's Honor Bourbon, a First-of-Its-Kind Ultra-Premium Spirit from Pronghorn, Ushers in a New Chapter for the Bourbon Industry
ATLANTA, Feb. 18, 2025 - As Black History Month amplifies the stories of Black visionaries whose contributions have shaped culture, Edmond's Honor, a first-of-its kind ultra-premium bourbon whiskey enters the market with a bold mission: to honor legacy, elevate craftsmanship, and raise a toast to the next generation of everyday heroes.
Edmond's Honor was founded by Pronghorn, a standalone business focused on creating a template for diversifying industries, starting with the spirits industry. Pronghorn serves as a hybrid accelerator and industry-wide trailblazer, providing new opportunities for underrepresented founders, entrepreneurs, and executives.
Edmond's Honor, the company's first product innovation, is crafted by liquid curator Tracie Franklin as a tribute to Edmond Albius, the overlooked Malagasy botanist prodigy who revolutionized vanilla cultivation by hand pollinating orchids.
Born on the island of Bourbon (now Réunion) off the coast of Madagascar, his breakthrough transformed vanilla into one of the world's most coveted flavors, a legacy and technique that endures today.
"Edmond Albius isn't a household name, but he should be. His discovery shaped an entire industry, yet his story remains largely untold," said Pronghorn President Ron Cole. "With Edmond's Honor, we're reclaiming his legacy and uplifting a new generation of visionaries through every pour."
Redefining the Ultra-Premium Bourbon Category
Rooted in purpose and reclamation of legacy, Edmond's Honor sets a new standard in the ultra-premium bourbon category. As an arbiter of premium taste, distinction and sophistication, Edmond's Honor is responsibly sourced, aged in Madagascar vanilla extract-soaked cognac casks and crafted with an unwavering commitment to quality and the artistry of bourbon making.
"When we set out to create Edmond's Honor, we wanted to represent Edmond Albius' legacy through distinctive taste and embrace the essence of real Madagascar vanilla, an ingredient that he made possible," said Tracie Franklin, Edmond Honor's Liquid Curator. "Every sip is a testament to Edmond's discovery and the artistry shaping the future of bourbon."
Edmond's Honor has already earned acclaim as a recipient of a Platinum Las Vegas Global Spirit Award, further cementing its place as a standout in the ultra-premium bourbon category.
The Taste of Edmond's Honor
Edmond's Honor delivers a multi-sensory experience from appearance to finish. Its gleaming golden hue is complemented by aromas of honeysuckle, brown sugar, toasted baking spices, and cocoa. On the palate sandalwood and coconut unfold, followed by warm nutmeg, allspice, and citrus zest. Layers of brown butter, toasted oak, and chocolate add depth, leading to a smooth finish with lingering notes of orange blossom, cinnamon, and Madagascar vanilla.
Supporting the Next Generation of Visionaries
Edmond's Honor does more than celebrate the legacy and global generational impact of Edmond Albius's discovery. It honors truth - a truth that recognizes that there are incredible contributors to global society across the cultural landscape whose stories are often overlooked. Beyond the glass, Edmond's Honor is dedicated to building a rich ecosystem that fosters and celebrates creativity while making a meaningful impact in the community. The brand is exemplifying its commitment to social responsibility by investing a portion of its proceeds into charitable groups that support initiatives championing the new generation of underrepresented pioneers in art, culinary arts and mixology.
Where to Find Edmond's Honor
Edmond's Honor is available in 750ml size bottles at select retailers in Georgia, New Jersey and Florida, and will be expanding to additional states throughout the year. It is also available for nationwide shipping at www.edmondshonor.com.
