Milestones for the booming Texas Whiskey distillery.
Apr 13, 2022 - Andalusia Whiskey Co., a family-owned distillery in the heart of the Texas Hill Country is excited to announce that its Triple-Distilled single malt whiskey was awarded a Double Gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This whiskey is 100% malted barley, made grain to glass in Blanco. It is triple-distilled in a copper pot still producing a smoother, lighter-bodied whiskey. The delicate flavor of malted barley is allowed to shine after aging in a charred American oak barrel and bottled at 100 proof.
Andalusia is on a roll
Stryker. A Texas BBQ smoked single malt made the coveted Top 20 list from Whiskey Advocate! Only the second distillery from Texas to make the list.
According to Whiskey Advocate “To reach our Top 20 Whiskies Of 2021, hundreds of bourbons, ryes, scotches, and other whiskies have been blind-tasted throughout the year by a panel of international whisky experts. The top whiskies are then selected based on quality, price, availability, and “x-factor.”
The x-factor. Traditionally distilleries use peat to smoke their barley, but Andalusia uses mesquite, oak, and applewood to create the BBQ in a glass aroma everyone loves.
“We are honored and thrilled to rank among some of the large and historic brands in the industry,” said Co-Founder Ty Phelps.
