ST. LOUIS, Aug. 26, 2021 - Lux Row Distillers announced the release of Blood Oath Trilogy – Second Edition, the latest collection of limited-release bourbons, or "Pacts," created by Lux Row Master Distiller John Rempe. Featuring 750 ml bottles of Pacts 4, 5 and 6, this latest Trilogy has a limited supply of 1,400 sets, and its $799 suggested retail price reflects the quality and scarcity of these bourbons. The newest Blood Oath Trilogy will be available in late September.

In 2014, Rempe decided to create an exceptional bourbon using a blend of three unique Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys. The following year, that idea came to fruition with the creation of the Blood Oath series. The name refers to a promise Rempe made to keep the blend of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys a secret known only to him, as well as a promise to create the best bourbon for bourbon connoisseurs. Now, every year Rempe adds a new Pact to the Blood Oath family. Each Pact comes in at 98.6 proof (49.3% ABV), is carefully crafted and will never be repeated.

The second Blood Oath Trilogy contains Pacts 4, 5 and 6 – reserved since 2018, 2019 and 2020, respectively – and is packaged in a black wooden display box designed to highlight each Pact's distinctive label.

  • Blood Oath Pact 4 is a blend of an extra-aged 12-year bourbon, a rich 10-year bourbon and a 9-year bourbon finished in toasted barrels for seven months. It has an ultra-smooth finish with lasting notes of caramel, vanilla and oak.
  • Blood Oath Pact 5 is a blend of a 13-year mahogany bourbon, peppery with shavings of dark chocolate; an 11-year silky, wheated bourbon rich with vanilla and honey; and an 8-year bourbon finished in Caribbean rum barrels to impart orange, brown sugar and warm island spice notes.
  • Pact 6 rounds out the Trilogy with a blend of a 14-year ryed bourbon which provides oak and leather undertones; an 8-year, toasty, ryed bourbon that delivers hints of spice; and a 7-year ryed bourbon finished in cognac casks to produce a slightly fruity, brandy flavor.

"I look back on each Pact I've created for the Blood Oath Series with a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishment, and with each new Pact I develop, I become more eager to create the next," said Rempe. The result is now a 28,000 square-foot space located at 686 Broadway, which encompasses a custom-built and engineered distillery where people can enjoy distillery tours and tasting experiences starting Saturday, August 21, as well as a restaurant, speakeasy and event venue, which will open starting in September.

Great Jones Distilling Co. was founded by Proximo Spirits and the passionate vision of owner and 11th generation spirits maker Juan Domingo Beckmann. With the opening of Great Jones Distilling Co. comes the introduction of three new whiskies: Great Jones Straight Bourbon, Great Jones Four Grain Bourbon and Great Jones Rye Whiskey. The three signature liquids are made from 100% New York-sourced grain, and have been aging for the past five years in new charred American oak barrels in upstate New York in preparation for the distillery opening.

The building of the expansive distillery space, designed in partnership with Groundswell Design Group, conquered many unique challenges. Located in an area of the city with a rich history from the Prohibition era, the 82-year-old building had to be reinforced deep below ground to support the custom combination copper pot still with two columns housed on the second floor, navigating the subway system that runs below the building. During the renovation, a secret tunnel was discovered, thought to be used to transport whiskey and other spirits under the streets of New York. This tunnel now runs directly behind the speakeasy set to open this fall.

Andalusia Whiskey Co. is releasing their first whiskey using Texas grown barley malted by TexMalt in Fort Worth.

99% of craft beer and malt whiskey produced in Texas is brewed with grain that's not from Texas. While barley can be farmed in this state, malting is a separate step performed by large facilities traditionally found in Northern states. In the last 5 years, several small maltsters have opened in Texas that process malted barley grown in the Panhandle near Amarillo and the farms near Palo Duro Canyon.

Palo Duro Single Malt Whiskey by Andalusia Whiskey Co will be an annual release made 100% with Texas grown and malted barley. Each annual release will showcase a different Texas malster and whiskey style.

2021 marks the first release of the Palo Duro Single Malt Whiskey made with barley that is grown in the Texas High Plains, malted by TexMalt, Fort Worth, TX, and smoked with peachwood from Pink Tractor Farms, Blanco,TX. “We are excited to showcase a whiskey that has undergone the entire process in Texas.” said co-founder Ty Phelps.

CLERMONT, Ky., Aug. 12, 2021- Freddie Noe, eighth generation Beam distiller and creator of Little Book® Whiskey, is proud to announce the fifth installment in his acclaimed annual, limited-release series of blends – Little Book Chapter 5: "The Invitation."

The name of this year's chapter is both a prompt to fans of American whiskey to expand their palettes, as well as a reflection on Noe's experience blending and innovating chapters of Little Book over the last five years. With a wide range of whiskey styles and ages in this year's release – including two highly unique, younger whiskies anchoring the blend – "The Invitation" showcases Noe's passion and deftness for elevating facets of each component within the final product, delivering complex, balanced and high-quality blended whiskies.

"Chapter 5 is my way of inviting whiskey drinkers into different aspects of the category, regardless of whether they've been along for the ride since Chapter 1 or are just tasting Little Book for the first time," Freddie Noe said. "'The Invitation' offers a chance for any curious drinker to expand their palette - whether they're a seasoned connoisseur or a newcomer to the category - due to the diverse liquids contained in the blend. Little Book Chapter 5 is a blend of four different straight whiskies, three of which were distilled under Freddie's watchful eye. Each was expertly blended to bring something unique to the final whiskey, making Little Book Chapter 5 greater than the sum of its individual parts:

  • A 2-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon distilled and barreled at a lower proof than normal creates a complexity not often experienced in a young whiskey. This prominent component delivers a sweet grain flavor and creamy mouthfeel to the fifth installment of the Little Book series that serves to balance the stronger oak flavors from older whiskies in the blend.
  • A 3-Year-Old Malted 100% Rye never before released from the Beam distillery shows the true depth and potential of American Whiskey. It brings smoky, peppery notes to the final blend not traditionally common in rye whiskey.
  • A 5-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon brings in hints of vanilla and corn sweetness on the nose and a smooth finish, balancing the flavors from the younger whiskies and the extra aged bourbon.
  • Finally, a 15-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon delivers heavier barrel flavors to the blend, adding a deep complexity and characteristics that can only be achieved through extended time spent aging in a Kentucky rackhouse.

"While younger whiskies – which make up the base of this blend – often carry certain preconceived notions, the 2-Year-Old Bourbon and 3-Year-Old 100% Malted Rye have strong characteristics because of the way they were crafted, and they play a purposeful role in providing complex flavor and balance to this year's Little Book release," Noe explained.  "In the spirit of what the Little Book series is all about, I was excited to push the boundaries of what we typically expect from whiskey. LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 17, 2021-- Louisville-based Michter's Distillery will begin shipping its 2021 bottling of its Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon in September. This will mark the first release of the whiskey since August 2018.

"We first launched our groundbreaking US*1 Toasted Barrel Bourbon in 2014, and we followed up with releases in 2015 and 2018. While we continue to experience whiskey shortages at Michter's, we decided to use some of our bourbon stocks for this toasted offering so our loyal Michter's supporters could enjoy it," said Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco.

"At Michter's we do a lot of experimentation as we pursue our goal of making the greatest American whiskey. The innovative work that our production team is undertaking on toasted barrel finishing is delivering remarkable results," commented Dan McKee, Michter's Master Distiller. To make this special Toasted release, Michter's starts with fully matured barrels of its US*1 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon and transfers the whiskey into a second barrel made of 18-month air dried wood for additional aging. The second barrel has been toasted to precise specifications, but not charred.

Michter's Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson establishes the protocol for the toasting of the barrels and for the subsequent aging of Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Bourbon. In speaking of the 2021 release, Wilson said, "This year's release is exceptionally balanced and is the perfect complement for the fall and holiday season." The suggested retail price for a 750ml bottle of Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon is $100.

Recently Michter's expanded its Farm and Operations in Springfield, Kentucky to 205 acres when it purchased an additional 60 acres.  It is there that Michter's is growing estate grown grain that it is currently distilling with. LONDON, August 4, 2021 - The registration is now open for collectors around the world to secure the second release of Prima & Ultima, Diageo's series of magnificent, incredibly rare Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. An unequalled gathering of cask-strength bottlings, the second release comprises eight bottles that have been drawn from the historic stock of Diageo's finest distilleries across Scotland including Talisker, Mortlach, The Singleton of Glendullan, and Brora.

I remember choosing to hold back the cask filled at Auchroisk knowing it would be special for the future and the anticipation and excitement of the maturation trials we undertook with Linkwood and The Singleton, now realised in these releases. Some of these casks I helped to lay down, and have taken great pleasure in tending to them since, so I chose them with rich memories in mind."

Each full set of eight Prima & Ultima single vintage malts is accompanied by eight unique glasses, each engraved with a bespoke design that reflects the story behind each whisky, created in collaboration with two glass artists. Individual 20ml samples of each whisky are also included with a booklet of personal stories told by Maureen.

Only 376 full sets are available for purchase, directly through appointed Prima & Ultima agents, at a recommended retail selling price of GBP23,500 (including tax and duty) in the UK. "Trust Your Spirit" channels the spirit and birthplace of Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky through archived footage and state-of-the-art projection mapping, evoking the brand's past, present and future. In the hero (:30) ad, the shot opens on a rounded projection stage with McConaughey in front of an oversized screen surrounded by bourbon barrels. In all of the digital ads, the Wild Turkey Rickhouse is projected around him as he invites viewers to do things like "trust your gut, trust your eyes, trust your ears, trust your friends….and the stories they allow you to tell," and reminds us "You are exactly where you should be. The campaign's tagline is a call to action channeling the uncompromising spirit of Wild Turkey's Jimmy Russell, the longest-tenured, active Master Distiller in the global spirits industry and father to Eddie, a second generation Master Distiller and legend in his own right. "In all its forms, and just like Wild Turkey, Trust Your Spirit is bold, inspired, and unapologetically confident," notes McConaughey. "This spirit of trust, and trusting your own, dates back for generations of the Russell family who toast those who share and forge ahead with their values. The Russells have been faithful and allegiant to their recipe and production methods - despite trends and pressure to conform to changing tastes over the years. Another (:15) spot, "The Stars," finds McConaughey on the picturesque grounds of the Wild Turkey distillery, gazing upon the sky and reflecting on one's relationship with a celestial universe. It concludes with an observation from McConaughey drawing parallels across humans and stars – each has their own unique sparkle and spirit. The creative director remarks that the world can be a beautiful place "if we all trust our spirit," as he watches the sun break the horizon.

The first two episodes featured Columbia artist Quinn XCII, and fans will be able to watch the final four episodes with Joey Bada$$ and Chase B every Wednesday this month.

In addition to the Columbia Records partnership, Crown Royal has inked team deals with two official NBA 2K League affiliates, the Hawks Talon Gaming and Detroit Pistons GT. As part of these deals, Crown Royal will be working with each team to engage with fans at this exciting connection of gaming and esports.
