TALISKER DISTILLERY UNVEILS THE LATEST RELEASE OF ITS 30 YEAR OLD SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

TALISKER DISTILLERY UNVEILS THE LATEST RELEASE OF ITS 30 YEAR OLD SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

Made by the sea and embodying its wild spirit for nearly 200 years, Talisker 30 Year Old celebrates the Isle of Skye

NEW YORK, June 29, 2023  The Talisker distillery has announced the highly anticipated annual return of Talisker 30 Year Old with its award-winning 2023 limited edition release. Talisker 30 Year Old is a whisky made by the sea that embodies the rugged shores of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. For nearly 200 years, the distillery has crafted Single Malt Scotch Whisky on the coast alongside the infamous Oyster Shed, where whisky has been paired with fresh, local oysters for decades. Honoring its distillery home and legacy of seafood pairings, Talisker 30 Year Old was created to pay tribute to the Isle's natural wonders.

Experience the full interactive Multichannel News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/9182251-talisker-30-year-old-single-malt-scotch-whisky-release/

Crafted over three decades, the liquid celebrates the rugged wilderness of its home. As the land rises, the elements quieten, smooth smoky clouds swirl and part around peppery peaks. Atop the Isle's highest peak, a powerful tranquility reveals the true magnificence of the island below, ashore the sea Loch Harport which stretches as far as the eye can see. Talisker 30 Year Old beautifully reflects the unique terrain of the Isle and the distinctive characteristics of the surrounding seas' merroir.

Selected annually from refill American Oak casks, this raw yet refined expression is non-colored and non-chill filtered and bottled at natural cask strength. Talisker 30 Year Old is an elegant and complex whisky with the distillery's hallmarks of soaring sweet smoke and pointy pepperiness.

Stuart Morrison, Master Blender and Whisky Specialist at DIAGEO, said, "The three decades spent in oak casks allow Talisker's distillery character to develop refined and exquisite qualities. As the spirit ages through its twenties, the fruit flavors become even more complex, giving us fragrant tropical notes and the peppery smokiness that moves from coal-tar to a warming, smoldering bonfire. A truly spectacular Talisker liquid, every sip is a celebration of the magnificence of Skye."

To celebrate this remarkable release in the U.S., Talisker has joined forces with Real Oyster Cult to offer seafood and whisky fanatics curated pairings alongside the Single Malt made by the sea. The coastal origins of Talisker liquid create the whisky's signature maritime and briny notes – making it the perfect Scotch for oyster and caviar pairings.

Real Oyster Cult delivers an oyster bar experience to doors across the U.S., curating seasonal, fresh oysters from over 100 farms across North America, plus delectable shellfish and caviar via their app and website. They also farm oysters locally in Duxbury, MA on Cape Cod Bay, including the petite and succulent Sailor's Valentine that pairs perfectly with the warming smokiness and gentle salinity of Talisker 30 Year Old. Taking the experience to new heights, the addition of Real Oyster Cult's Royal Belgium Platinum Caviar as a garnish elevates the culinary journey, culminating in the ultimate premium pairing.

Additionally, Talisker is partnering with actor and writer Peter Gadiot to inspire individuals to embrace the outdoors and reconnect with the natural world. Much like Talisker, Peter embodies the rugged luxury and coastal spirit, spending the majority of his free time adventuring outside. Together, they aim to ignite a sense of adventure, inviting whisky aficionados to raise a glass to the wild spirits within them.

"I couldn't be more excited to join forces with Talisker, a brand that resonates deeply with my love for the untamed beauty of nature. It's a privilege for me to commemorate the launch of Talisker 30 Year Old, a whisky that embodies the essence of time-honored craftsmanship," said Gadiot. "Together, we embark on a remarkable journey of exploration and appreciation, toasting to the wonders of the outdoors."

If you're looking for something delicious to sip alongside fresh oysters or premium caviar, Talisker 30 Year Old is available for online purchase and home delivery via ReserveBar.com, Drizly.com or the Drizly app where shipping and delivery are available.

NEW YORK, June 29, 2023-- For their first collaboration, George Dickel and Social Hour brought fans the quintessential autumnal cocktail – the Harvest Whiskey Sour. Just in time for the summer, the brands are teaming up once again to launch another seasonally-inspired release in the form of a slow-sipping bourbon cocktail – Social Hour Bourbon Smash made with Dickel Bourbon.

The new Bourbon Smash made with Dickel Bourbon is a mint julep meets a whisky sour. Boasting notes of tart meyer lemon and muddled mint, the cocktail can be enjoyed with friends and is best served over ice in a glass garnished with a mint sprig, lemon wheel, peach slice or strawberries.

At the center of the drink is George Dickel's award-winning Dickel Bourbon that's been aged 8 years and helps make Bourbon Smash a delicious cocktail with the same quality you'd expect from a cocktail bar.

"We couldn't have asked for a better first step into the canned cocktail space than through our partnership with Social Hour. Our first release was a fall-flavored spin on the Whiskey Sour, and with the Bourbon Smash, we're putting a new, summer twist on the classic cocktail," said Nicole Austin, General Manager and Distiller at Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. "I couldn't be more excited for whisky fans to enjoy the refreshing taste of the Bourbon Smash. To make that perfect summer cocktail, you need an approachable and balanced bourbon that's able to work well in a cocktail – and that's Dickel Bourbon."

"With our first collaboration being so well received, it only made sense for our next craft cocktail to continue to lean into seasonality," said Tom Macy, Co-Founder and CEO at Social Hour Cocktails. "The Bourbon Smash is hands down my favorite whiskey-based warm weather cocktail. Now you can enjoy one by simply pouring over and adding a fresh garnish like a mint sprig or peach slice."

Starting today, the Bourbon Smash will be available for purchase at retail locations in the New York City area. Consumers outside of New York can purchase the offering online on the Social Hour website. This limited time offering has a suggested retail price of $28 for a 4-pack. WILD TURKEY® UNVEILS MASTER'S KEEP VOYAGE, A LIMITED-EDITION CRAFT BOURBON PERFECTED WITH TIME IN JAMAICAN RUM CASKS

WILD TURKEY® UNVEILS MASTER'S KEEP VOYAGE, A LIMITED-EDITION CRAFT BOURBON PERFECTED WITH TIME IN JAMAICAN RUM CASKS

The collaboration between Eddie Russell of Wild Turkey and Dr. Joy Spence of Appleton Estate, two masters of their craft, will be available this July at select retailers

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky., June 29, 2023  Wild Turkey, the iconic American bourbon brand, today announces the release of Master's Keep Voyage, the latest expression in the annual limited-edition series of highly sought-after whiskies. Crafted by Master Distiller Eddie Russell in a first-time collaboration with Dr. Joy Spence, the renowned Master Blender of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum, this 106-proof expression of 10-year-old bourbon was finished with a secondary maturation period in Jamaican rum casks, marking the first rum cask finish in Wild Turkey's history. It will be available at select retailers beginning in July.

"Every year, we look forward to the release of Master's Keep as an opportunity to rethink what our bourbon can be," says Wild Turkey's Master Distiller Eddie Russell. "Creating Master's Keep Voyage in collaboration with Dr. Joy Spence was a real privilege, and I think our shared passion for telling a story through our spirits comes through in this one-of-a-kind whiskey."

Master's Keep Voyage captures the hallmarks of both bourbon and rum making and reflects Eddie Russell and Dr. Joy Spence's more than 80 years of combined experience in crafting exceptional spirits. To begin, Dr. Joy Spence hand selected some of the finest casks from the iconic Jamaican rum house Appleton Estate – these casks previously held 14-year-old pot still rum and were chosen for their potential to best complement the bold top notes and rich caramel undertones of Wild Turkey's extra-aged bourbons. The casks then made the voyage to the Wild Turkey Distilling Co. in Lawrenceburg, KY, where Eddie Russell hand selected a batch of 10-year-old bourbon that had been aged in Wild Turkey's classic No. 4 char barrels. The bourbon was finished in the rum casks in the heat of a Kentucky timber rickhouse, resulting in a tropically influenced American icon bursting with a palate of fruits, caramel and aged oak with a warm, long-lasting finish of chocolate and spice.

"With Voyage, we set out to develop a spirit that allows the notes of the rum and bourbon to work in harmony," said Appleton Estate Master Blender Dr. Joy Spence. "By aging Eddie's hand-selected batch of 10-year-old bourbon in the finest casks we have at Appleton Estate, we were able to achieve a new level of flavor that gives whiskey and bourbon lovers a new way to enjoy their favorite drinks."

The Master's Keep series, first launched in 2015, was born from Eddie Russell's desire to push the boundaries of traditional bourbon-making by experimenting with aging techniques and finishes. Each annual release in the collection is highly coveted and available in limited quantities.

Master's Keep Voyage will be available nationally at select retailers beginning in July. SRP for a 750ml bottle is $275. The makers of Wild Turkey and Appleton Estate took their time crafting this one-of-a-kind whiskey, and they encourage fans to take their time enjoying it and to drink in moderation.

About Wild Turkey

The distillery for Wild Turkey Bourbon is located in Kentucky, situated on a deep limestone shelf on the Kentucky River. The shelf acts as a natural filter and provides the distillery with crystal clear water, vital to making such a high-quality product. Wild Turkey features the legendary father and son Master Distilling team of Jimmy and Eddie Russell, who have over 100 years of collective experience working at the Wild Turkey distillery.

The famous Wild Turkey brand name first came about back in 1940 when distillery executive Thomas McCarthey took a few warehouse samples on a Wild Turkey hunting trip with a group of friends. The following year, his friends asked him for "some of that Wild Turkey whiskey" and the brand was born.

Wild Turkey is distilled and put into new oak barrels at a much lower ABV than most bourbons. This results in a much richer flavor, as less is cooked out during the production process. Aging in the highest quality new American oak barrels with the heaviest char available (the Number 4 "alligator" char), imparts a smooth flavor and deep amber color to the whiskey. The barrels are filled at the distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Website: wildturkey.com.

Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco to be inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame®

Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco to be inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame®

LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 27, 2023- The Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame® has announced that it will induct Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco on September 13th, 2023.

A native New Yorker who later adopted Louisville as his second home, Magliocco initially fell in love with Kentucky bourbon while bartending during college at Yale, where he was a Religious Studies major. After earning a JD from Harvard Law School, during which time he spent summers selling Kentucky bourbon and other spirits, Magliocco embarked on a full-time career in the spirits and wine business. One of his first industry jobs was at a distributor, where he reported to the company's President R.C Wells, the former President of Four Roses.

Magliocco subsequently led the effort to develop Chatham Imports, the Manhattan-based spirits and wine supplier and eventual parent company of Michter's Distillery. During the 1990s, a challenging period for the American whiskey industry, Magliocco teamed up with his mentor and adviser Richard Newman, the former President of Austin Nichols, to enter the bourbon business, which they both viewed as being only temporarily out of favor. While selling the brand during a summer job, Magliocco had grown familiar with Michter's, a Pennsylvania-based whiskey company with a legacy stretching from the founding of a predecessor in 1753 until its bankruptcy in 1989. After the Michter's brand name went abandoned, Magliocco spearheaded Chatham's acquisition of the Michter's trademark in the 1990s for $245 and set out to restart the historic brand with whiskey made in Kentucky, which he considered the best place in the world for bourbon.

Magliocco has played a role in the resurgence of American whiskey. "There is no one who believes more in the potential of the Kentucky bourbon category," stated Michter's Master Distiller Dan McKee. "I know I speak for our entire team when I say we are grateful for Joe's unwavering support, which has enabled us to make decisions that prioritize making the highest quality whiskey every step of the way." Michter's Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson added, "Joe's contributions will have a lasting impact on the Kentucky Bourbon industry and on how American whiskey is perceived around the world."

Over the years, the Louisville-based Michter's team assembled by Magliocco has made progress with the brand, which is now sold in all 50 United States and over 60 export markets. In its present form, Michter's has two Louisville distilleries – Michter's Shively Distillery and Michter's Fort Nelson Distillery – as well as a 205-acre farm and operations hub in Springfield, Kentucky. Magliocco joins Andrea Wilson, Michter's Master of Maturation and Chief Operating Officer, as Michter's second Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame® member.

"Kentucky bourbon has thrived and reached its current level of success because of all the great people working in all the positions in our industry. I am humbled and deeply honored to be included among this year's extraordinary inductees into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame®," remarked Magliocco.

Magliocco actively volunteers with schools and not-for-profit organizations. An Associate Fellow at Yale University's Benjamin Franklin College, Magliocco serves as a trustee of The Frazier History Museum and The Fresh Air Fund, as well as a member of the Harvard Law School Dean's Advisory Board. Magliocco splits his time between Louisville and New York. He works at Michter's with a team that includes his son Matt Magliocco and his niece Katharine Magliocco.

Savoring the Spirit of New York: Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Celebrates "The New New York" During Tribeca Festival

Savoring the Spirit of New York: Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Celebrates "The New New York" During Tribeca FestivalSavoring the Spirit of New York: Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Celebrates "The New New York" During Tribeca Festival

NEW YORK, June 14, 2023 - Last night, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey presented the latest chapter of the Bulleit Pioneer Project — its multi-year commitment to championing and amplifying those breaking new ground in culture. This time around Bulleit joined forces with long-standing partners Tribeca Festival and UnitedMasters to spotlight New York's creative talent. "The New New York" event brought together emerging pioneers spanning film, music, food, and drink — hailing from across the five New York boroughs — during the Tribeca Festival weeklong festivities.

Within the diverse pool of talent on show, six promising filmmakers from New York — all nominees of the Tribeca Festival First Time Filmmakers award — were given the spotlight to present new work within the expansive Chelsea Factory venue.

Bulleit proudly sponsors the Best New Director Award at the Tribeca Festival, which recognizes the outstanding achievements of first-time filmmakers venturing into uncharted creative territory. This event comes days after Bulleit featured the filmmakers in full-page ads across local New York newspapers, providing them with notable exposure.

Sounds of The Five Boroughs
The event came alive in the Chelsea Factory — a space committed to providing New Yorkers with a platform for connection, inspiration, and joy. Building on its relationship with independent artist platform, UnitedMasters, Bulleit celebrated the impact that New York has had on music by giving the microphone to emerging talent from across the city, including Brandon Blue, Liana Banks, and Tosh Alexander. Alongside this, DJs from each borough, including Turbz from Brooklyn, Venus X from Manhattan, and Krystal Vega from Manhattan, took to the decks.

"New York City is synonymous with pushing cultural boundaries and spearheading new art forms. Its creative spirit and the abundance of talent living and working here, make it an undeniable cultural force," said Sophie Kelly, Sr. Vice President of Whiskeys at Diageo North America.

"Bulleit and Tribeca Festival share a long-standing relationship built on their mutual dedication to creativity, innovation and the celebration of exceptional voices. For our fifth year together, we're solidifying the dedication expressed in the Bulleit Pioneer Project initiated last year. This is why we decided to showcase and support the visionaries who shape the cultural landscape of the world's most vibrant creative hub - New York."

Flavors of The Five Boroughs
"The New New York" also showcased five bars, each expertly curated and hosted by mixologists from different boroughs — Genesis Cruz from Manhattan, Natali Claros-Ospina from Brooklyn, Andria Rodriquez from The Bronx, Brian Ipuz from Queens and Jimmy Colvil from Staten Island. Each mixologist crafted a cocktail inspired by the unique essence and flavors of their area.

A curated menu inspired by the distinct flavors of the five boroughs included Pork Belly Bao Buns representing Manhattan, Lentil Falafel for Queens, Mini Chopped Cheese sliders inspired by The Bronx, Mini Jamaican Beef Patties for Brooklyn, and Caprese skewers symbolizing Staten Island.

In alignment with Bulleit's ongoing planet-first commitment, the event was created with the environment in mind from end to end.

Cara Cusumano, Festival Director & VP, Programming, Tribeca Festival added:
"The inception of the Tribeca Festival marked a pivotal moment in revitalizing New York's economic and cultural landscape in the wake of the World Trade Center attacks. Fueled by creativity, the festival injected fresh energy into the city, serving as a powerful symbol of resilience. Now, after 22 years, it is inspiring to come together once more and commemorate the creativity, strength, and profound cultural impact that New York continues to embody through this extraordinary event."

Kicking off 100-Hour Commitment
The evening commenced with the first act of the 100-Hour Commitment — a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to fostering growth and collaboration between emerging artists and renowned talent from UnitedMasters. Local talent were granted one hour of invaluable guidance and expertise from esteemed mentors such as J, Ivy (GRAMMY award winning spoken word poet), Joel Leon (performer and director), Clintn Lord (rapper), and Chaucer Barners (CMO of UnitedMasters).

"Raw talent gets you a long way in this industry, but longevity can only come from the wisdom gained through experience. What excites me about the 100 Hour Commitment is the chance to sit with bright, emerging artists and impart them with the insights to navigate this space and the tools to combine their talent with the business savvy needed for long-term success," said Chaucer Barnes, Chief Marketing Officer of UnitedMasters Inc.

Bulleit and UnitedMasters are now poised to launch a comprehensive summer-long program, extending mentorship opportunities to aspiring artists seeking to advance their craft.

This builds on the success of previous Pioneer Project endeavors, such as The Remix Challenge in late 2022—a search for gifted wordsmiths vying for a coveted mentoring session with the esteemed J. Ivy—and the unveiling of a compelling short film featuring his poignant spoken word composition entitled "A Toast To The Times" in February of the current year.

FOUR ROSES DISTILLERY CELEBRATES 135 ANNIVERSARY WITH FIRST GLOBAL BRAND REFRESH IN NEARLY TWO DECADES

FOUR ROSES DISTILLERY CELEBRATES 135 ANNIVERSARY WITH FIRST GLOBAL BRAND REFRESH IN NEARLY TWO DECADES

The Heritage Bourbon Brand Will Also Honor the Milestone with Rare Release of Its Proprietary Ten Recipes

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky., June 20, 2023 - Today, Four Roses Distillery, the award-winning Kentucky-based bourbon brand, announces its global brand refresh, the first update for the brand since 2006. The new visual identity also comes as Four Roses, a heritage brand that predates Prohibition, celebrates its 135th year. Fans of the brand and consumers alike will see the refreshed branding across all of Four Roses' bourbon bottles, and on its new website, starting today.

Since its founding in 1888, the bourbon brand has maintained its commitment to quality and consistency in its liquid and overall product. Four Roses has continued to stay true to its roots and time-tested process of creating bourbons with an unmatched flavor that are not only complex, but also delightfully mellow. Four Roses looks to pay homage to the brand's heritage while exploring a more modernized approach through evolving the labels on all bottles, and revitalizing the website for a more user-friendly and cohesive experience.

"In our 135th year, we're thrilled to reveal our refreshed, modernized branding, which aims to maintain the spirit of our rich history while appealing to today's bourbon drinker," said Kelly Edney, Senior Brand Manager. "Four Roses is about creating and being part of life's mellow moments, and we hope that our dedicated fans and future customers continue to feel that connection."

Helmed by agency Camp + King, the design updates from the brand refresh include:

  • A renewed, 3D rose emblem - the brand's classic logo - offering a more refreshed and refined representation of the brand's founding story
  • A new engraved rose cluster on the cork of each bottle
  • Brightened labels with gilded borders on all bottles labels, to bring a more contemporary look to the design. Labels on each of the brand's four bourbon expressions show a varying color palette that correspond with the richness of the product
  • The publico typeface on the new label brings an elegance that is as timeless as the brand itself
  • The addition of Master Distiller Brent Elliott's signature on the face of each bottle as a nod to the care and attention he puts into every bottle; tasting notes have also been added to the back of each bottle label to highlight the unique flavor profiles of each product.
  • An updated website design that still includes cocktail recipes, events, and purchase links, but with a brighter and more cohesive look to match the refreshed branding

To celebrate this momentous occasion, for the first time ever, Four Roses is releasing a rare, limited edition kit - The Ten Recipe Tasting Experience - which will feature each of the ten unique bourbon recipes that make up Four Roses' bourbons. It's these ten signature recipes that set the brand's bourbons apart, and gives the liquid in each bottle its distinctive characteristic. The kit will include 50ml bottles of each recipe for bourbon enthusiasts to get a taste of where the brand's offerings originate. A QR code on the box will lead to a guided tasting video with Master Distiller Brent Elliott for a more immersive experience. This limited edition kit (SRP: $129.99) will be available for purchase starting June 30 at the Four Roses Visitor Centers in Lawrenceburg and Coxs Creek, Kentucky, and will roll out in select retailers in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, and California starting in mid-July.

"While the look of our brand is being refreshed, our unwavering commitment to producing the highest-quality bourbons made of our ten signature recipes remains the same," said Brent Elliott, Master Distiller, "It's been a true honor watching the brand grow over the past 18 years that I've been with Four Roses and I look forward to this next chapter."

Award-Winning Hakata Whiskies Make Their U.S. Debut

Award-Winning Hakata Whiskies Make Their U.S. Debut

Distilled from 100% Barley in Fukuoka, Japan, Umami-Forward Taste Profile Derived from Koji

NEW YORK, June 20, 2023  Hakata, the award-winning, premium whisky, distilled and matured in Fukuoka, Japan and hailing from the Hikari Distillery (est. 1912) today announces  its U.S. debut. Distilled from 100% barley and aged in sherry casks, the range includes Hakata 10-Year-Old Whisky, Hakata 12-Year-Old Whisky, Hakata 16-Year-Old Whisky and the showstopping Hakata 18-Year-Old Whisky. Imported by ImpEx Beverages, the Hakata Whiskies showcase the distilling prowess of Japanese producers.

AWARD-WINNING HAKATA WHISKIES MAKE THEIR U.S. DEBUT

Highly sought-after, Hakata Whisky is distilled and matured in Japan using 100% barley, a fraction of which is fermented with Koji - providing healthy enzymes for fermentation, and thus delivering a savory, unmistakable, Umami-enhanced patina. A distinguishing technique employed by the brand; this type of distillation is as revered as it is ancient and has been leveraged by some of the finest distillers in Japan for nearly 500 years. Known as the source of Umami, Koji is also used for production of Soy Sauce, Sake, and Miso.

Created by the imaginative team at the storied Hikari Distillery, Hakata Whiskies are aged in sherry casks in both traditional and open-air warehouses, allowing the aged spirits to benefit from the unique environmental elements in the Fukuoka region. Exposure to a humid summertime climate and cold winter temperatures manifest whiskies that are bold and evolved, characterized by decadent, sherry-dominant flavor profiles. These distillation and production techniques combined render a valiant, almost classical whisky flavor profile, while retaining a coveted freshness that is truly rare.

Located on the southern island of Kyushu, the historic Hikari distillery has been producing spirits since 1912. The careful craftsmanship and attention to detail in crafting Hakata's whiskies have received worldwide acclaim, including recognition recently from the highly respected Whisky Advocate, who recently awarded outstanding scores to every product in the current Hakata lineup:

  • Hakata 18-Year-Old Whisky (SRP: $190) - awarded 94 points - is some of the most prized liquid hailing from the Japanese distillery. Glorious and decadent, it showcases notes of cola, dark cherry, roses, and the profound influence of sherry on the nose. On the palate, it exhibits smooth waves of savory umami, graham cracker, dates and a tart cherry. It concludes with an oak finish, complemented by notes of fresh berries and smooth vanilla.
  • The refined Hakata 16-Year-Old Whisky (SRP: $150) was honored with an outstanding 96 points by Whisky Advocate - a score achieved by only seven other whiskies in the past decade, is the embodiment of a well-rounded whisky. Characterized by notes of caramelized coconut, white peach, powdered sugar and a touch of char, it's decorated with a profound scent of oak on the nose. On the palate, it delivers a hint of creamy, crème brûlée, unripe pear, roasted almonds, and white raisins.
  • Awarded 95 points, Hakata 12-Year-Old Whisky (SRP: $100) is truly oak and umami defined - an enchanting, balanced whisky which on the nose delivers notes of champagne, dried plums, and sweet dates. On the palate, stewed fruit, caramelized orchard fruit, and apple cider with Sherry are demonstrated, finishing with a sweet, but slightly citrus salute. With a drawn-out finish and flush with minerality, this liquid gem is sweet, tangy, and enlightened by umami - a measured triumph of harmony and spice.
  • Hakata 10-Year-Old Whisky (SRP: $80), awarded 93 points, demonstrates the full flavor and authentic, spirit-forward character that the brand is known for. Oaky and earthy, on the nose it also presents notes of lemon meringue and strawberry preserves. Ripe with rich sherry, walnuts, and sweet raspberries on the palate and culminates with notes of vanilla Oak, sherry, raisin, and orange peel.

"The domestic market for World whiskies is unprecedented right now, and we are excited to bring Hakata's otherworldly flavor profile to an American audience - especially as we know umami is finally having its moment in the sun. Whisky from Japan is a formidable and well-respected category in the overall whisky scene, and our hope is that Hakata finds its rightful seat at the table," said Chris Uhde, Vice President, ImpEx Beverages.

With their inimitable flavor profile, Hakata Whiskies appeal to the most discerning whisky drinker while maintaining an approachability that is dually engaging for the casual bourbon enthusiast. The complex flavors and striking textures showcase a luxurious spirit with intense aroma - a splendid achievement in balance, character, and mystique. This whiskies flavor profile positively shines when served with food, thanks to the savory umami essence which illuminates the flavors of any dish. Best served neat in pours of 1 oz. or less, Hakata is a whisky to be sipped and savored.

Available on www.hakatawhisky.com, and at select retailers, bars and restaurants across the U.S, Hakata Whiskies are available in 700 ml bottles.
