Kavalan CEO Mr YT Lee said the newly launched 700ml "Kavalan Distillery Select" had a good price point and was aged in some of the world's finest refill casks within Yilan's climate, creating an elegantly balanced drop with notes of soft toffee and lively fruits.
Kavalan's distinct fruity flavours are green apple, mango, pineapple, and cherry.
Master Blender and Global Brand Ambassador Ian Chang said people could rely on Kavalan's consistency of quality.
"Kavalan is known for quality, because this is our focus. But now, with Distillery Select, we are giving people quality at a very good price," he said.
Japanese distributor Lead off Japan's brand manager Mr. Kim said: "Kavalan Distillery Select is a high-quality expression and the price is far less than its value."
European distributor La Maison du Whisky's CEO Mr Thierry Benitah said Distillery Select "expressed Kavalan at its best."
"Smooth and elegant on the nose with lots of fruits," he said. "Rich and complex in the mouth with sweet vanilla and toffee notes. Not only a great sipping whisky, it is also a unique mixable single malt."
US distributor Hotaling & Co. president and CEO, Dennis Carr said: "Kavalan Distillery Select meets the demand for a Kavalan to satisfy both the single malt purist who wants it neat or on the rocks, and for the cocktail enthusiast."
"In less than a decade of making whisky, the Taiwan distillery has received worldwide acclaim and now has 23 varieties with the introduction of this new style," he said.

Bowmore 1965 is the latest expression in the Vaults Series, a collection of the rarest whiskies from the home of the No. 1 Vaults. The liquid was one of the first to pass through Bowmore's then-new steam heated stills in 1965, benefitting from smoother heating and greater control, enabling the distillery to craft a spirit that was perfectly primed to mature over many decades. The expression is a rich reward for those who value the importance of savoring time, with plenty of time spent carefully perfecting every single element of the whisky making process when creating the release.

Bowmore 1965 is the fourth expression to debut from the Bowmore 50 Year Old VAULTS SERIES, a collection honoring the rare single malts that were first distilled and began aging in the No. 1 Vaults during the 1960s, an era known for producing some of Bowmore's most collectible bottlings. Bowmore 1965 joins: 1966 50 Year Old (released November 2017); Black Bowmore 1964 50 Year Old (released June 2017); and Bowmore 1961 50 Year Old (released December 2016).
TASTING NOTES – Bowmore 1965, 42% alcohol by volume
This remarkably rare limited-edition bottling has, over its 52-year maturation, unlocked the rich fruit and balanced smoke tastes distinctive of 1960s Bowmore whiskies, which have been savored by connoisseurs worldwide and are renowned as some of the most collectible Bowmore expressions. An outstanding expression, Bowmore 1965 has been elevated to legendary status through maturation that showcases the iconic fruit notes and deep flavors that are revered in Bowmore single malts. On the nose, Bowmore 1965 offers elegant bursts of fragrant fruits, sweet bees wax and intense dark chocolate, developing into burnt heather and a fresh spring flower finish. Perfectly balanced with a touch of jasmine, dried fruit and apricots, this single malt is best savored neat.

Heaven's Door 10-Year Tennessee Straight Bourbon Limited-Release
The Heaven's Door Limited-Release Bourbon is a testament to the company's mission of creating an ever-evolving catalog of small batch whiskeys featuring uncommon blends, special barrel finishes and rare stocks. Heaven's Door 10 Year Tennessee Straight Bourbon is mellowed using charcoal columns made from Tennessee sugar maple trees, a method traditionally known as the "Lincoln County Process." The low rye content and a decade of barrel-aging renders a rich and full-bodied whiskey. On the nose, there is an aroma of fresh baked bread and nougat. The mid-palate mouthfeel is rounded out with semi-sweet flavors of grilled pineapple and candied walnuts. The finish delivers a perfect balance of sweet and savory with notes of cooked peaches and steeped tobacco.
"We are passionate about challenging whiskey convention through unique barrel finishing, wood experimentation, and blending," says Ryan Perry, Head of Whiskey Development at Heaven's Door. Just like the trilogy of Heaven's Door's inaugural expressions, the Limited-Release bottle features one of Bob Dylan's distinctive iron gate sculptures, crafted in his Black Buffalo Ironworks studio. Bob Dylan's gates are created from objects found on farms and scrapyards across the country, an homage to his childhood in an iron ore town. The 10 Year Tennessee Straight Bourbon comes in a beautifully composed case, with the delightful surprise of a reprinted lyric sheet featuring the hand-typed words to Dylan's beloved songs "Maggie's Farm" and "Subterranean Homesick Blues."
The 10 Year Tennessee Straight Bourbon joins the multiple award-winning trilogy of Heaven's Door expressions debuted this past April: the Double Barrel Whiskey, the Tennessee Straight Bourbon, and the Straight Rye Whiskey finished in French Oak "Cigar" Barrels from the Vosges forest region of France.
