Limited Edition Jim Beam® Distiller's Cut Offers Bourbon Lovers A Memorable Taste For The Holidays

Jim Beam® Distiller's Cut is unlike any other bourbon at Jim Beam.CHICAGO, Nov. 13, 2017 Jim Beam®, the world's No. 1 bourbon, has released Jim Beam® Distiller's Cut, a premium, unfiltered*, 100-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This limited time offering was personally selected by Fred Noe, Jim Beam's seventh generation Master Distiller, and is available nationwide.

"We skipped the chill filtration process, so the liquid gets from barrel to bottle a little differently," said Noe. "The result is unique to other Jim Beam offerings, with a fuller taste and longer finish compared to your typical bourbon."

Jim Beam® new unfiltered bourbon, Jim Beam® Distiller's Cut.

Jim Beam Distiller's Cut is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged five to six years that features a medium body and combines caramel sweetness with charred oak, enriched with light fruit notes. The premium expression offers a smooth and complex mouthfeel with a warm, lightly charred oak finish – the perfect gift for a bourbon lover looking to try something different this holiday season. It has a dark amber color with aromas of soft charred oak, sweet caramel, vanilla and hints of dried fruit.

"At Jim Beam, we are consistently innovating to offer our consumers a wide range of products. Jim Beam Distiller's Cut is different from our other products because of the post-aging process," said Rob Mason, Vice President of North American Whiskey at Beam Suntory. "Our Master Distiller has decided to release this batch at a time when bourbon drinkers, more than ever, are anxious to discover something unique."

After aging, bourbon typically goes through a chill filtration process, which involves forcing the liquid through a dense filter to remove fatty acids formed during distillation. Jim Beam Distiller's Cut skips this step, which results in a fuller taste and palate feel. This can also cause the liquid to look cloudier compared to filtered bourbons, especially on the rocks.

Jim Beam Distiller's Cut is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks and has a suggested retail price of $22.99 for 750ML. Find it at select retailers nationwide starting this month, on shelves alongside Jim Beam's other premium offerings including Jim Beam Black® Bourbon, Jim Beam® Double Oak Bourbon finished in oak, Jim Beam® Rye Whiskey and Jim Beam®Bonded Bourbon.

Stoli® Group to Build Extraordinary "Kentucky Owl Park" and Begin Construction on One-of-a-Kind Bourbon Trail Destination

Stoli® Group to Build Extraordinary "Kentucky Owl Park" and Begin Construction on One-of-a-Kind Bourbon Trail Destination

BARDSTOWN, Ky., Nov. 9, 2017 Yesterday, Gov. Matt Bevin and Stoli® Group embarked on the construction of "Kentucky Owl Park," a state-of-the-art distillery and unprecedented visitor center experience at Cedar Creek Quarry in Bardstown. The 420-acre site, which will also include rickhouses for aging product and a bottling center will house operations for the newly created American Whiskey Division of Stoli Group. In the long-term, Kentucky Owl Park, named for the bourbon that joined Stoli Group's portfolio earlier this year and served as the inspiration for this groundbreaking, will go above and beyond other Bourbon Trail destinations to feature a freshwater lake, a gourmet restaurant, a remarkable convention center, a vintage passenger train, and a refurbished train station. Currently, work is scheduled to start in early 2018 with a goal of completing the distillery phase and begin production of whiskies in 2020, bringing as many as 57 jobs to the area.

"Global demand for bourbon continues to bring significant economic impact to Kentucky through jobs, investment and tourism," said Gov. Bevin. "This new project by Stoli Group in the heart of bourbon country will serve to accelerate this trend. Stoli Group will offer numerous employment opportunities and support many families in and around Nelson County. I congratulate the company and look forward to seeing this concept come to life over the coming years."

Stoli Group was established in 2013 and is responsible for the management, distribution and marketing operations of SPI Group's global spirits portfolio. One of the world's leading wine and spirits organizations, SPI Group is an independent company committed to a mission of building a respected portfolio of select premium brands, which it achieves by controlling and perfecting every stage of the process, from cultivation through distribution. Additionally, SPI Group develops large-scale real estate projects, including the Finos Tequila distillery in Jalisco, Mexico and the award-winning Bayou Rum distillery and visitors center in Lacassine, Louisiana, and farms 14,000 acres of agricultural land, including for its Stoli and elit Vodkas in Tambov, Russia.

"Stoli Group will put great resources into these endeavors – both the distillery experience and the growth of this very important category for our company. As master blender, Dixon Dedman will continue to manage the production of Kentucky Owl – the crown jewel of the new division, which will remain a small batch offering," said Dmitry Efimov, Head of Stoli Group's American Whiskey Division. "This site will be home to additional brands that we will create or acquire. With the continued strength and growth of American whiskies and bourbons, we are beginning to evaluate those opportunities."

Sen. Jimmy Higdon, of Lebanon, said Stoli Group promises to grow the state's strong reputation in the bourbon industry.

"I am so pleased to hear Stoli Group has chosen this Bardstown location to be Kentucky's newest bourbon-based economic development project," Sen. Higdon said. "Kentucky's signature bourbon industry has showed no sign of slowing, and with this huge investment in the region and the creation of new Kentucky jobs, I have no doubt that Stoli Group will join the ranks of great distillers."

Rep. Chad McCoy, of Bardstown, said the project will have a substantial impact on the already thriving local bourbon industry.

"Stoli Group understands the rich tradition of bourbon in the commonwealth, and we are thrilled the company is expanding a recently acquired family business to Bardstown," said Rep. Chad McCoy, who serves as vice-chair of the Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations Committee. "The distillery is a boon for our community and will cement Bardstown's transformation into the premiere bourbon destination for Kentuckians and people from all over the world."

Bardstown Mayor Dick Heaton said the company has found the perfect home in Nelson County.

"We are extremely happy to have Stoli Group's American Whiskey Distillery join our growing family of distilleries in Bardstown and Nelson County," Mayor Heaton said. "Bardstown is known as the Bourbon Capital of the World. This new investment is a testament that there is no better place to make bourbon, educate and entertain visitors than Bardstown, Kentucky. The announcement comes as a result of much hard work by many people in the public and private sector here. The City of Bardstown is proud to be a part of this exciting project."

Nelson County Judge-Executive Dean Watts said the project will have a positive impact on the community.

"The announcement of Stoli Group's American Whiskey Distillery coming to Nelson County is excellent economic news," Judge-Executive Watts said. "We appreciate their investment in our community and look forward to helping with their success."

Jack Daniel's and the Armed Services YMCA Kick off Seventh Year of “Operation Ride Home”

Campaign Has Helped More Than 5,700 Junior-Enlisted Service and Family Members Travel From Their Bases to Homes Across the Country

November 08, 2017 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time

LYNCHBURG, TN  -For the seventh year, the Jack Daniel Distillery and the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) have kicked off their “Operation Ride Home” campaign that provides financial assistance to active duty junior-enlisted military and their families to travel from their place of military service to “home” for the holidays.

“We are proud to work alongside Jack Daniel’s for Operation Ride Home and hope others will join us in sending these service members home to their loved ones this holiday season.”

Since Operation Ride Home began, 2,669 junior enlisted single service members and those with families – for a total of 5,767 people – have travelled from their bases to homes around the country for the holidays. Men and women from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard have been assisted with travel to 47 of the 50 states.

The ASYMCA works with the various military commands in specific areas co-located with ASYMCA branches to identify and prioritize junior-enlisted service members and families most in financial need. Plane tickets and pre-paid debit cards are given to assist those traveling.

Jack Daniel’s has once again donated $100,000 to kick off the campaign that this year will exceed more than one million dollars in total donations over the life of ORH. The famed distillery is asking friends to visit www.jdoperationridehome.com to make a contribution to help more service members spend the holidays at home. All donations are 100 percent tax deductible.

“Words can’t describe what it means for us to be able to give back and help these heroes and their families make it home for the holidays,” said Jeff Arnett, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller. “We can’t thank our friends enough for their support of Operation Ride Home over the years, and hope they will once again do what they can as we try to get as many families home as possible. The sacrifice shown daily by our men and women in uniform and their families is simply incredible. They are there for us, and we need to be there for them.”

“Our junior-enlisted service members are often young, new to the military and struggle to get home during the holidays,” said William French, ASYMCA President and CEO. “We are proud to work alongside Jack Daniel’s for Operation Ride Home and hope others will join us in sending these service members home to their loved ones this holiday season.”

Operation Ride Home is open to active duty E-4 and below, both single and married, who might not otherwise financially be able to travel home for the holidays. The option to drive or fly is an individual decision. Plane ticket vouchers are limited to $400 per person flying and for those choosing to drive, the pre-paid debit cards are $100 per family member for gas, lodging and food. For additional information on eligibility and to view participating installations that qualify for travel assistance, please visit https://www.asymca.org/operation-ride-home.

Celebrate Joyfully. Drink Responsibly.

Stoli® Vodka Unveils Innovative New Design for Super-Premium Stoli® Gold

Stoli® Vodka Unveils Innovative New Design for Super-Premium Stoli® Gold

LUXEMBOURG,  Stoli® Vodka, the original premium vodka, today announced an update to its super-premium offering, Stoli® Gold. First conceived as Stoli Cristal in 1989 to add a new dimension to the category, the expression name was changed a decade later as a nod to its final filtration stage through coils of gold thread. Stoli Gold's redesign includes the bottle, label and production process and is aimed at elevating the consumer experience at shelf in the off-trade and at high-end clubs and lounges in the on-trade. The product is now available in 750 mL and 1 litre sizes in top USA and global markets, along with select duty-free retailers.

Stoli Gold harnesses some of the world's rarest elements to produce a sublimely rich vodka. While winter wheat is predominantly a dryland crop, the Gubernator Dona winter wheat grown on this single estate is carefully irrigated from an ecologically pure aquifer lying at a depth of 185 meters to ensure optimum soil moisture conditions and high-quality yields. Next, the Alpha Grade spirit is blended with water filtered through shungite, one of the rarest and most remarkable minerals on earth, found only in a remote part of northwest Russia. This blend is then filtered in the traditional Stoli way before the final filtration through coils of gold thread to subtly amplify the depth, enhance the softness and harmonize the emerging liquid.

The new packaging is a showstopper, featuring a textured metallic label with content on the front and back, visible through the clear spirit. The bottle shape has taken on a taller, more elegant and bespoke shape with embossing on the bottom and the neck, which also includes a gold neck label, cork cap and tamper evidence. On the back of the bottle, there is a thick metal seal touting Stoli Vodka's birth year – 1938.

"The updated Stoli Gold is a marriage of state-of-the-art, modern methods and our commitment to producing classic, unrivalled spirits. No other vodka uses such precious elements to create a significant effect on the character of the final liquid," said Hugues Pietrini, Stoli Group Global President & CEO. "This expression has long been popular among a core group of ultra-premium consumers, but we expect, with this disruptive redesign and single-source recipe, to expand that audience to those in their late 20s and 30s who value intrigue and energetic social scenes."

Stoli Gold's nose is elegant and focused, with an initial hint of vanilla leading to aniseed, followed by freshly baked bread notes and light citrus. Its palate features a delicate mouthfeel and opens up with a combination of light creaminess and sweetness before an underlying dryness appears, adding a counter-point accompanied by a juicy, lightly luscious texture. A subtle sweetness and creamy aniseed return with the finish, adding range and freshness with a slight spice.

Gin Growth to 2021 Driven by Unusual Suspects – Latest Research from just-drinks and The IWSR

Gin Growth to 2021 Driven by Unusual Suspects – Latest Research from just-drinks and The IWSRThe expansion of the global gin market is set to accelerate over the next five years as the category boom takes hold in a raft of second-tier markets, according to recently-published research.

Released this week by just-drinks and The IWSR, Global Gin Insights reveals that global gin volumes - stripping out sales of low-priced variants - hit a new high in 2016 of 32.4m cases. The category recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5% between 2012 and 2016, with 17 of the top 20 markets posting sales increases.

Looking ahead, the report forecasts that the top three gin markets - the US, Spain and the UK - will all record further sales increases in the years ahead, but growth will be even faster in a number of other countries across Western Europeand beyond.

By 2021, global gin volumes will near 40m cases, the IWSR predicts, with markets as diverse as Germany, South Africaand Mexico all poised for dynamic growth.

The main challenge for brand owners remains the difficult US market, as the report notes: "The performance in the US has been more lacklustre, declining by -1.2% CAGR [between 2012 and 2016]. The market increased by 1% in 2016 - an increase that scarcely merits some of the hype attached to the gin category."

While flavoured gin is expected to be an increasingly significant consumer trend in the years to come, there are already signs of a shake-out among the vast numbers of new gin products hitting the market in the recent past, the report adds.
