LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 1, 2015 Beam Suntory, the world's leading Bourbon maker, today celebrated the grand opening of Jim Beam's new visitors' experience in the heart of Louisville's Fourth Street entertainment district. The Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse not only establishes a highly visible presence for the world's No. 1 bourbon in the most vibrant tourist destination in Louisville, but also offers guests a hands-on bourbon experience unlike any other.
"For more than 220 years, Jim Beam Bourbon has made history and continues to do so by opening its first visitors' destination outside of our flagship distillery," said Kevin Smith, Vice President, Kentucky Beam Bourbon Affairs. "We've taken the brand's rich heritage and put an urban spin on it, offering guests an interactive Bourbon experience coupled with a retail location, right here in downtown Louisville. Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear and Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer joined 7th generation Master Distiller Fred Noe, company leaders and local dignitaries to officially open the doors and commemorate Jim Beam's unwavering commitment to the bourbon industry – an industry it helped create when Jacob Beam made his first Bourbon whiskey in Kentucky in 1795.
"Bourbon is one of Kentucky's most historic and treasured industries – a thriving $3 billion economic engine that generates more than 15,400 jobs with an annual payroll topping $700 million, and $166 million in tax revenue every year," Gov. Beshear said. "With the opening of the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse in downtown Louisville, the company is once again raising the profile of our Bourbon industry and giving visitors another great reason to come to Louisville."
"We are happy to see Jim Beam expand its footprint in downtown Louisville," added Fischer. "Fourth Street is a booming destination for tourists from near and far, and places like the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse offer a great opportunity to spotlight Kentucky's heritage while driving increased visitors to Kentucky bourbon distilleries."
Located 25 miles from its flagship distillery in Clermont, Ky., the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse operates as a small working distillery and visitors' experience like no other, with special features that include:

- Interactive displays and décor that immerse Bourbon enthusiasts in the Jim Beam® brand and educate them on the fine nuances of whisky making;

Jack Daniel's Announces Sinatra Century In Celebration Of Frank Sinatra's 100th Birthday
LLYNCHBURG, Tenn., Oct. 2, 2015 The Jack Daniel Distillery announces today the upcoming nationwide release of Jack Daniel's Sinatra Century, the brand's latest collaboration with the Sinatra Family to celebrate The Chairman of the Board's Centennial. Hitting shelves October 1, Sinatra Century is the latest ultra-premium whiskey from the Jack Daniel's family to commemorate Jack and Frank's special friendship. As a limited edition expression, only 100 barrels of Jack Daniel's Sinatra Century are being made available in individually numbered bottles making each as unique as the man to which it's attributed.
The relationship between Frank Sinatra and Jack Daniel's is legendary, special and authentic and one that still holds strong to this day. First recommended by friend Jackie Gleason, the Tennessee Whiskey quickly became Sinatra's signature drink. During performances, he kept a glass of Jack Daniel's on a nearby stool on stage. It was his drink of choice at bars in his favorite cities, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Chicago, Miami and (of course) New York.
Master Distiller Jeff Arnett created Sinatra Century through the careful selection of specially crafted barrels. Tasting his custom selections with the Sinatra family, he sought a bold, refined flavor that is befitting Sinatra's legacy.
"At the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, we worked very hard to achieve a special flavor and aroma for Sinatra Century in order to give Frank a proper 100th birthday gift," says Arnett. "This meant working with the people who knew him the most, his family, and honoring the legacy that he has shaped with our brand. We have created a product that we know the public will love just as much as Frank did."
Like all of Jack Daniel's expressions, Sinatra Century is crafted using the same cave spring water from the Jack Daniel's Hollow, proprietary yeast and charcoal-mellowing process that's been used in the distillery's nearly 150-year-old Tennessee Whiskey recipe. From there, the whiskey enters specially selected "Sinatra" barrels hand-picked by Master Distiller Jeff Arnett. In those barrels, the liquid is exposed to extra layers of perfectly toasted oak through a grooving process only done at the Jack Daniel's Cooperage. This allows the ultra-premium whiskey to achieve a pleasantly smoky and rich oak aroma that Sinatra was known to adore.
Commenting on Jack Daniel's Sinatra Century, Frank Sinatra Jr. explains, "Sinatra Century is a fitting tribute to Dad and the perfect way to mark his centenary in December. Jack Daniel's was Dad's drink of choice, whether entertaining friends, or making new acquaintances. Therefore, it only seems right that we raise a toast of Sinatra Century to the musical legend as we celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday this year."
Sinatra Century, at 100 proof, is the Jack Daniel Distillery's second offering to commemorate Frank Sinatra. The first was Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, a 90-proof premium Tennessee Whiskey with a bold, yet exceedingly smooth flavor profile. Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select was introduced in 2013.
This one-time, limited release of Jack Daniel's Sinatra Century will be available nationwide beginning early October 2015 and will be the only available selection of the whiskey. Each exclusive bottle will be enclosed in a luxury gift box inspired by the legendary singer's signature style. Additionally, the set will also offer a selection of previously unreleased Sinatra tracks, entitled "Sinatra Live at the Sands in 1966," to accompany the specially designed Jack Daniel's Sinatra Century bottle. The product will be priced approximately$499.99 per 1L.

Glenfiddich, The World's Most Awarded Single Malt Pays Tribute To The American Whiskey Industry With New 14 Year Old Release
NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2015 Glenfiddich – the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky – releases a new expression to its permanent portfolio: Glenfiddich 14 Year Old. Exclusive to the United States, the bourbon barrel reserve is a celebration of American spirit. It pays tribute to the shared history of American and Scotch whisk(e)y, and the American Oak ex-bourbon barrels that are the backbone of the single malt Scotch whisky industry.
Glenfiddich 14 Year Old uniquely delivers a bourbon heart with the soul of single malt. Matured for 14 years in ex-bourbon American Oak casks, the whisky delivers beautifully complex flavors of woody spices combined with ripe summer fruit, resulting from the spirit's interaction with the casks. After waiting patiently for 14 years, Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, finishes the whisky in deep charred new American Oak barrels supplied by The Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky. The result: a rich, sweet and vibrant single malt.
Kinsman comments: "American Oak casks have had a significant influence on single malt Scotch whisky maturation and the flavor profiles we find today. By maturing this expression in bourbon casks we've created a beautifully intense flavor, reflective of the relentless passion we have for producing incredible single malts. With notes of fresh oak and velvety caramel, our 14 Year Old remains true to Glenfiddich's heritage of producing fruity and deeply flavored whis
kies and is the perfect marriage of bourbon sweetness and Scotch complexity."
Peter Gordon, Glenfiddich Company Director added: "As a family run company we're able to be bold and innovative with our whisky making – and the exclusive Glenfiddich 14 Year Old is a wonderful example of this. We cherish our independence as it gives us the freedom to work with people who share our values – such as The Kelvin Cooperage, which is itself a family run company – and continue to create innovative whiskies of exceptional depth, distinction and diversity of flavor."
Glenfiddich 14 Year Old is presented in a deep navy blue casing – inspired by the color of the Kentucky state flag – and is embossed with Glenfiddich's iconic gold stag. The packaging is a celebration of the two whisk(e)y worlds and pays homage to the American whiskey industry's contribution to single malt Scotch whisky. Glenfiddich 14 Year Old (43% ABV) is certified Kosher and will be available nationally this fall at luxury whisky retail stores and premium bars and hotels in the United States. (MSRP: $49.99 / 750ml)
Malt Master Brian Kinsman's Tasting Insight:

Main Flavors: Vanilla sweetness, summer fruits, fresh oak.
Limited Edition, 110 Proof: Clyde May's Whiskey Debuts Special Reserve
SILVER HILL, Ala., Oct. 1, 2015 This fall, Clyde May's is launching a Special Reserve whiskey, the first line extension in the brand's history, which will be available for sale in limited quantity. Clyde May's Special Reserve reflects the same heritage that made Clyde May's the official State Spirit of Alabama.
Clyde May's Special Reserve is based on original recipes created by Clyde himself. Three distinct higher-proof Alabama-style whiskies were created to characterize the best features of five to six year-old bourbon stock. The bourbon is aged up to six years and finished non-cold filtered with a slight hint of apple, in the Alabama style. The final liquid was bottled at 110 proof, and will be available in different lots, each exhibiting subtle variation and tasting notes.
Over the past year, Clyde May's Whiskey has also implemented a program that allows retail partners to create bespoke editions of Clyde May's Special Reserve, drawing from a selection of hand-selected barrels. These barrels were organized into three distinct lots. The lots reflect the finest expressions of Clyde May's Whiskey and can be mixed by retail partners according to taste. Clyde May's intends to expand this program in the coming years.
Ron Call – a highly regarded whiskey veteran with more than 40 years' experience – partnered with Clyde May's in the development of Clyde May's Special Reserve. He has also been involved in the development of Clyde May's 85 proof whiskey. Call has had a long, productive relationship with Clyde May's and has taken on additional duties as Whiskey Master. Call's rigorous attention to quality and consistency will maintain the iconic legacy of Clyde May and his whiskey.
"One of the features that has pleasantly surprised people who've tasted Special Reserve is its smoothness," said Ron Call, Whiskey Master, Clyde May's Whiskey. "At the 110-proof level, there can be an expectation that the liquid is going to knock your head back. But the Alabama-style finish just smooths it out – it's almost counterintuitive. And our retail partners are having great fun creating their own versions of Special Reserve based on the expressions we're providing. It's not common that whiskey brands permit that sort of tailoring and our partners love it."
Beginning in October, Special Reserve will be available for purchase nationwide and online for $70. Online retail locations where Special Reserve will be available include Caskers, Binny's Beverage Depot and Total Wine & More.

Brown-Forman Breaks Ground on New $50 Million Slane Distillery at Ireland’s Historic Slane Castle
LOUISVILLE, KY Brown-Forman Corporation and held its official ground breaking ceremony today for Slane Distillery, the company’s initial entry into distilling Irish whiskey. Slane Distillery is also the first distillery built by Brown-Forman outside of the United States. The U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Kevin O’Malley, joined representatives from Brown-Forman and Slane Castle for the distillery’s official construction kick-off.
Slane Distillery, which will also include a visitor experience, is planned to open in late 2016. The new distillery will create nearly 25 new full-time jobs while the construction process will support approximately 80 jobs. The distillery is being built in the grounds of Slane Castle which is located in the middle of a 1,500 acre estate in the heart of Ireland’s Boyne Valley, 30 miles north of Dublin. Slane Castle is the home of Henry Conyngham, the eighth Marquess Conyngham, and his son, Alex Conyngham, the Earl of Mount Charles, whose family has been part of the Slane community for generations.
“Brown-Forman brands are founded on heritage, quality and authenticity, and there is nowhere as real as this beautiful and historic part of Ireland,” said Lawson Whiting, Brown-Forman executive vice president and chief brands & strategy officer. “We will leverage our wood and whiskey making prowess to create world class whiskey at Slane Distillery.”
Ambassador O’Malley signed the first cask that will be filled with whiskey from the distillery. He was joined by Whiting as well as Brooke Brown Barzun, fifth generation family shareholder of Brown-Forman, and Henry and Alex Conyngham of Slane.
The distillery and visitor center, which is in the historic stables complex adjacent to Slane Castle, will involve the 18th century buildings being restored and converted to house both the production operations and the consumer experience. The first Slane Irish whiskeys will be launched to market in early 2017 – initially using high quality whiskey purchased from other Irish distilleries and finished to Slane’s exacting recipes and specifications while the first whiskey from the distillery is laid down to mature. Upon completion it will have a potential output of more than 600,000 cases.
“Whiskey by its nature requires a long-term approach, and we look forward to bringing people on a journey of discovery with us,” said Alex Conyngham. “We will offer a range of blended, pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys in the premium and super premium segments. Visitors will be able to come here and literally see where the grain is growing and how we are producing it with care.”
“This is a great coming together of two historic families - the Browns of Kentucky and the Conynghams of Slane. We are very proud to join forces to bring exciting new Irish whiskeys to the world. The commencement of work on the distillery is just a first step in developing a new Irish whiskey brand and welcoming guests to the new distillery,” said Henry Conyngham.

Speyburn Launches New Limited Release Whisky
NEW YORK, NY- September 29, 2015 - Speyburn, the emblematic Scotch whisky from Speyside, is announcing the launch of the newest addition to its range, Arranta Casks. The U.S. only limited release is unique for its exclusive use of first fill American Oak ex-bourbon casks and draws its rich color and full-bodied flavor from the quality and character of the wood.
This latest release shows off a bolder take on the classic Speyburn flavor profile of citrus, vanilla and honey with the added notes of toffee, coconut and spice imparted by the use of the first fill American Oak ex-bourbon casks, which were hand-selected by Speyburn's Distillery Manager Robert Anderson.
"As well as using first fill barrels only, all the wood used to make these barrels is air-dried. Air-dried barrels -- as opposed to bourbon barrels that are kiln-dried -- maintain more moisture and flavor throughout the process," says Anderson. "We are excited to offer a new take on the Speyburn taste that you know and love and elevate it for an even bolder flavor that truly over delivers."
"Arranta" meaning 'bold', 'daring' and 'intrepid' in Scottish Gaelic, Arranta Casks embodies the spirit of the Speyburn distillery.
Speyburn Arranta Casks is bottled at 46% abv (92 proof) and will be available on August 15 as a limited release, exclusively in the U.S. at a suggested retail price of $40. For more information, contact 375 Park Avenue Spirits or visit www.speyburn.com.
