This season, Crown Royal has enlisted Emmy-nominated sports broadcast journalist Taylor Rooks as their Passenger Princess and partner to surprise fans at marquee NFL matchups in 10 cities with a chance to receive premium game day seat upgrades.

This year, the Crown Royal Rig has added a royal renovation: the Royal Seat. NFL fans who catch the Crown Royal Rig on tour have a chance to climb in, snap photos and test their luck at honking the rig horn. Those who succeed will score premium ticket upgrades† to elevate their game days.

THE RUSSELL EFFECT

1954

Master Distiller Jimmy Russell joins Wild Turkey. He learns his craft from becomes the third in a line of master distillers for the brand which includes second master distiller, Bill Hughes, and Ernest W. Ripy, son of the original distiller.

1976

Wild Turkey introduces the world’s first bourbon liqueur, introducing a broader audience and attracting even more drinkers to the bourbon world. The liqueur would eventually lead to the creation of American Honey.

1981

Eddie Russell, son of Jimmy Russell, joins Wild Turkey as a relief operator and begins to work his way up the distillery ladder.

1991

Wild Turkey introduces our premium Rare Breed bourbon, one of the first barrel proof bourbons to hit the market.

1995

Wild Turkey follows it up with the launch of Kentucky Spirit, a single-barrel 101-proof bourbon, one of the only single barrel American whiskey offerings of the time.

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky., Sept. 23, 2025  Wild Turkey Distilling Company, the award-winning distillery known for its bold Kentucky bourbon, today announces the final release in its legendary Master's Keep collection: Master's Keep Beacon. Capping off a decade of superior, boundary-pushing American Whiskey, this final chapter is a bold tribute to the distillery's storied heritage while shining a light on the road ahead. Crafted by Master Distiller Eddie Russell and Associate Master Blender Bruce Russell, this limited-edition 118-proof release is a blend of two distinct, hand-selected bourbons and will be available at select retailers globally starting this September.

Master's Keep Beacon is a blend of 10 and 16-year-old bourbons, each hand-selected to reflect key moments in the distillery's history. Eddie's selection, a 16-year-old bourbon distilled between 2007 and 2008, was pulled from some of the last remaining barrels laid down in the original Wild Turkey distillery where he first honed his craft, just before the distillery's major expansion in 2011. Bruce's 10-year-old selection, distilled in 2015, is among the first he produced alongside his father and grandfather, Hall of Fame Master Distiller Jimmy Russell, when he joined the family business. Together, they've created a harmonious blend of flavors from distinct eras and the highest-proof release in the Master's Keep series.

Dating back to 2015, the Master's Keep series was originally the brainchild of Eddie Russell, offering a dedicated collection to explore new expressions beyond Wild Turkey's iconic core lineup. Since then, he has continued to push the limits of bourbon craftsmanship to create some of the most sought-after limited releases in bourbon. As Wild Turkey has grown into one of the most coveted brands by whiskey collectors, the limited-edition collection has played a defining role by offering space for creative exploration that still pays homage to the distillery's roots. Over the last decade, each release of the series has received overwhelming response from the bourbon community, solidifying Master's Keep as one of the most respected collections in the industry. Top spirits publications and voices have scored the expressions with high marks, consistently recognizing the releases as best whiskies of the year. For the final chapter, father son duo Eddie and Bruce drew on decades of shared whiskey-making expertise to craft a release that both honors the series' legacy and stands as its crowning achievement.

This sought-after collection consists of 10 global releases since its inception: 17 Year (2015), Decades (2016), Revival (2018), Cornerstone (2019), Bottled in Bond (2020), One (2021), Unforgotten (2022), Voyage (2023) and Triumph (2024).

"When we set out ten years ago to launch the Master's Keep series, we knew we had something special but I never imagined the journey it would take us on," says Wild Turkey Master Distiller Eddie Russell. "This final release feels especially meaningful, as the first Master's Keep with my signature on the bottle and made using bourbon I helped create during some of my earliest days at the distillery. I'm proud to leave my mark on this iconic collection with a bourbon that represents a meaningful chapter in my own journey, and paves the way for the road ahead."

An aroma of dark fruit and cherry is followed by honey, vanilla and cola in the final release in the Master's Keep series. Sweet notes of caramelized sugar, toffee and tea with warm baking spice are capped off with a long, warming finish with notes of mature oak and leather.

Master's Keep Beacon will be available globally in limited quantities for a suggested retail price of $300.

The shelf acts as a natural filter and provides the distillery with crystal clear water, vital to making such a high-quality product. Wild Turkey features the legendary father and son Master Distilling team of Jimmy and Eddie Russell, who have over 100 years of collective experience working at the Wild Turkey distillery, and are now joined by the next generation, Associate Blender Bruce Russell.

The famous Wild Turkey brand name first came about back in 1940 when distillery executive Thomas McCarthey took a few warehouse samples on a Wild Turkey hunting trip with a group of friends. The following year, his friends asked him for "some of that Wild Turkey whiskey" and the brand was born.

Wild Turkey is distilled and put into new oak barrels at a much lower ABV than most bourbons. This results in a much richer flavor, as less is cooked out during the production process. Ageing in the highest quality new American oak barrels with the heaviest char available (the Number 4 "alligator" char), imparts a smooth flavor and deep amber color to the whiskey. We’re a small batch Tennessee bourbon distillery in a part of America that doesn’t worship novelty or look favorably upon flashes in the pan. How do we know? We grew up here in Clarksville, Tennessee, and our give-a-damn runs pretty high.

For us, it’s all about hand-crafting spirits the right way. In the case of our Tennessee Bourbon & Whiskey that means using grains grown by the farmers we run into at the barbershop and never taking shortcuts. We grind, cook, ferment, distill & patiently age every drop of Old Glory Tennessee Bourbon and Whiskey on site. The oak barrels only ask for time to work their magic, and as a self-respecting Tennessee Whiskey distiller, we don’t want to mess with what works.

If Whiskey doesn’t strike your fancy, we’ll be sure to convert you, but in the meantime, we’ve developed a true Tennessee Vodka that’s sure to please. We start with a neutral base, but of course, us being proud Tennesseans, “stock” just doesn’t cut it. In true Old Glory fashion, we send it through our copper pot still and carefully filter it through the same sugar maple charcoal used for our Tennessee Whiskey. The result? Well, let’s just say martinis and gimlets will never be the same.

In the years it’s taken this venture to go from concept to reality, I’ve been referred to a few too many times as Mr. Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was my Dad. And even he would’ve disagreed and told you that Mr. Cunningham was my Grandfather. I started this company when I was 22 years old, and I’m simply Matt.

I spent the first 18 years of my life in Clarksville, Tennessee and the next four at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. It’s probably no surprise, but I definitely learned more outside the classroom than in. That being said, though, my college experience with alcohol wasn’t what you’ve probably got in mind. I always preferred quality over quantity, and I quickly became fascinated with the craft movement. At this point, it was strictly a fascination, but it soon developed into much more.

Only one semester away from graduating with a financial management and investments degree, I came to the realization that I’d never be able to sit at a desk … not even for a short while. I graduated, packed my bags, and moved back home where I had the opportunity to live out every little kid’s dream. I was a full-time firefighter for nearly four years, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. I worked every third day for 24 hours and then I’d have the next 48 hours off. The 48 hours off was almost entirely dedicated to this one-time fascination turned idea of opening a craft distillery in my hometown.

Growing up right here in Clarksville, the idea behind the distillery was so much more than a business to me. More than anything, it was an opportunity to bring something to the city that everyone would be excited about and be proud to call their own. This is not my distillery. This is Clarksville’s Old Glory Distilling Company, and the products we proudly craft are a representation of the hardworking, patriotic, and unyielding character that embody our city and this great country.

My family started farming in Colorado around 1910. I am a fourth generation Coloradoan. Through our agricultural roots, I learned the values of hard work, character, and caring for the land.

10 years ago, we started distilling whiskey and finding that tasting and trying to come up with the best mash bills was only half of the fun. The other half was the relationships it formed and the people we encountered along the way. Three years ago, we decided we wanted to share our passion with others and Larado Whiskey was born. Through a lot of time and dedication, we sold our first products in February 2024. The name Larado comes from the importance it served in the homesteading of the American West. The lasso took the untamed praries and helped cultivate the lands to what they are today. It is a symbol of unity, determination and the old values that we instill in our company everyday.

At Proof & Wood Ventures, Inc., we invest in and develop spirits brands, and age our own spirits. Our core business is sourcing and bottling fine American whiskies, but we also import other high-quality spirits from around the world that were not available in the US previously. Founder Dave Schmier is delighted to be able to create both cocktail-friendly bottlings for value-focused bartenders and high-end collectors’ editions for connoisseurs.

Our name comes from the two things we control as a blender and finisher of fine spirits, and the two things that are incredibly important to any spirit’s flavor: the proof it’s bottled at, and the wood of the barrel we age it in. 

Proof and Wood Ventures is a Connecticut-based spirits company founded in 2015 by industry veteran Dave Schmier. As an independent bottler and blender, the company focuses on sourcing, aging, and bottling a range of spirits, primarily American whiskies, and other unique global selections.
