GLENDALOUGH DISTILLERY RELEASES RARE, MIZUNARA CASK-FINISHED WHISKEY
COUNTY WICKLOW, Ireland, Feb. 25, 2022 Today, Glendalough Distillery has announced the launch of a 7-year-old Irish single malt aged in very rare Japanese Mizunara casks sourced from the island of Hokkaido, Japan.
A relentless search for the most flavorful oak in the world took them from their own wooded mountains in Wicklow to those in the volcanic north of Japan, Hokkaido. This is where they found Mizunara, the most sought-after oak in the whiskey world.
As the first Irish whiskey brand to use the rare and exotic Mizunara, they had very much ventured into the unknown. Bringing Irish single malt and Japanese oak together went far off the beaten path, literally, but it has led to this wonderfully different whiskey.
Mizunara's rarity makes sourcing a great undertaking, but Glendalough was ready for the challenge of being the first Irish whiskey to utilize this oak. The trunks of these uniquely beautiful trees are prone to growing twisted, and they must grow to be twice the age of most oak trees before they can be felled. It then takes three years to dry, and even then, is notoriously difficult to cooper due to its porousness. However, therein lies its saving grace: whiskey can seep deeper into the wood, resulting in an alluring, exotic flavor.
Glendalough 7-Year-Old Single Malt Mizunara Finish
46% ABV / SRP $99.99
Tasting Notes
Nose: Vibrant, fruity and floral
Palate: A luxuriously smooth mouthfeel with notes of dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon synonymous with Mizunara whiskeys
Finish: The spirit benefits from an exceptionally long finish of toasted oak and subtle layers of complex, woody spices, with the dark chocolate lingering even longer
"Every whiskey has a story, this one has an epic adventure, worthy of being told over a glass. This whiskey came from a relentless search for the best oak on earth," said Gary McLoughlin, Founder & Marketing Director of Glendalough. "By 'best' I suppose we mean most flavorful. What started in the wooded mountains around our distillery eventually led us to the snowy north of Japan, where we somehow managed to get our hands on Mizunara. As the first Irish distillery ever to use this almost mythical species of oak we had really ventured into the unknown."
On the bottle you'll see a little red thread – the Japanese call it the "red thread of fate." This particular one represents a connection between the wooded Wicklow mountains, and those of Hokkaido and the fateful union of some of the world's best malt (Irish!) and what they maintain is the world's most flavorful oak.
The Glendalough 7-Year-Old Single Malt Mizunara Finish presents at 46% ABV and is available beginning February 28 in limited quantities nationwide at select retailers for SRP $99.99 for 750ml. Party Horses Is Bringing Limited-Edition Bourbon And Unprecedented Access To Derby Weekend Through NFTs
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 23, 2022 Party Horses announced today Maker's Mark® will be its official bourbon partner for 2022 and supply limited-edition Party Horses commemorative labels to 1,000 early adopters in the coming months. NFTs (non-fungible tokens) in this project are produced as generative artwork that live on a blockchain. Using an Ethereum smart contract that is created through computer code, algorithms uniquely assign traits to each piece of art during a process called "minting."
Party Horses began as a Louisville-based project by co-founders Justin Delaney, a serial entrepreneur and successful multi-exit CEO, and Brook Smith, a philanthropist and prolific racehorse owner.
"We want our mission to be simple to understand," said Delaney. "Use Web3 for good, have fun, create beauty, destabilize the disappointing, and collaborate with others to build amazing things."
Delaney and Smith teamed up with an experienced software engineer, Izaak Prats, whose pedigree includes Meta (formerly Facebook). The project also includes a Team of award-winning designers, Louisville event planner Joey Wagner, and other Louisville-based Web3 enthusiasts. Before the project formally launched, Smith brought in Danish model Helena Christensen and designer Camilla Stærk, after spending some time in the space and realizing the gap in representation for women.
"I've known Helena and Camilla for a long time through other business ventures, and their creativity is rivaled only by their eye for equitability," said Smith. "This is an opportunity to knock down some walls in Derby circles, and also fight for equal representation in the Web3 community."
The premise for the NFT art? What if horses attended the Kentucky Derby to cheer on the human race?
The first digital event occurs on March 1, 2022 when a list of 2,000 early adopters will be able to pre-mint, granting whitelist access. 10k Party Horses will mint two weeks later, on the Ides of March (March 15) unless otherwise notified. NFT holders will be able to access exclusive events, like an exclusive pre-Derby concert featuring a Grammy award-winning artist, with more to be announced soon.
A list of information and frequently asked questions can be found at PartyHorses.com.
About Maker's Mark® Bourbon
In 1953, in Loretto, Ky., Bill Samuels, Sr., fulfilled his dream to create a handmade and delicious bourbon. He decided to make his whisky in small batches, using soft red winter wheat to enhance the softness and sweetness. He then rotated each barrel by hand for consistency and, finally, aged each barrel to taste. Bill Samuels, Sr., transformed bourbon from a "commodity" into a premium handmade spirit, and today Maker's Mark continues to make its bourbon the same way. That time-tested approach seems to still be working just fine 60+ years later, as Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon was awarded a Double Gold medal at the esteemed San Francisco Spirits Competition in 2021. In recent years, Maker's Mark has introduced thoughtful, super-premium innovations to its portfolio, including Maker's Mark 46, Maker's Mark Cask Strength and Maker's Mark Private Selection, the brand's first-ever custom barrel program. THE CRAFT IRISH WHISKEY CO. WINS THE CATEGORY FOR BEST IRISH SINGLE MALT AT THE WORLD WHISKIES AWARDS
LONDON, Feb. 21, 2022 - The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. has won Best Single Malt whiskey in Ireland under the no age statement category from The World Whiskies Awards with its inaugural release The Devil's Keep. This is the first time The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. has entered the prestigious World Whiskies Awards. The company entered three of its four releases, and not only topped the category with The Devil's Keep but it dominated it too, receiving a Silver for its latest release The Taoscán, and a Bronze for its third release, The Brollach.
After seeing off competition in the category from Teeling Whiskey Single Malt, Method and Madness Single Malt, The Whistler P.X. I Love You and Writers' Tears Red Head, The Devil's Keep will now go forward to fly the flag for Ireland at the finals of The World Whiskies Awards on 24th March.
This is the eighth award for The Devil's Keep, a rare triple distilled, single malt whiskey and one of the finest whiskies Ireland has ever created. The launch of The Devil's Keep in November 2020 saw just 333 bottles released. It was the most expensive inaugural first release in history, and sold at auction for USD $60,000 (almost £46,000 and €51,000 Euros), and the oldest triple distilled Irish whiskey in existence, only to be topped by The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.'s second release in February 2021 of the 30-year-old The Emerald Isle Collection.
Amongst its other accolades is a Gold award from the world-renowned International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2021 and a Gold from the Global Luxury Spirit Masters 2021. The Devil's Keep also scooped the highest scoring Gold award in the 'Packaging Design Category' of the A' Design Award, Bronze at the Pentawards 2021 and an iLuxury award. It follows a further two awards from 2020; winner of the Luxury Drinks Secondary Pack award at the 2020 Luxury Packaging Awards and Highly Commended under the category of Luxury Drinks Primary Pack at the 2020 Luxury Packaging Awards.
A second release of The Devil's Keep is due in the coming months.
Commenting on the award, Jay Bradley, founder and CEO of The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. said: "I couldn't be prouder of how our whiskeys are speaking for themselves on the world stage. We spared no expense with The Devil's Keep, from the liquid to the design to the accompaniments. We missed last year's awards deadline as we wanted to leave the whiskey a little longer to ensure it was absolutely perfect. I felt the whiskey needed another week in virgin Hungarian oak and I was tasting it daily. I only released when I knew it was absolutely perfect. It's all the sweeter to be recognised this year by the highly regarded World Whiskies Awards and we look forward to very much representing Ireland on the 24th March for the world title!"

Luca Nichetto and Mortlach Scotch Whisky Unveil SEI, a Bespoke Decanter that Celebrates Whisky's Best Kept Secret
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 17, 2022 - Mortlach Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a nearly 200 year old treasure of Scotland's iconic Speyside region, has partnered with world-renowned designer Luca Nichetto, founder of Nichetto Studio, on SEI, a bespoke whisky decanter that celebrates the boldness and complexity that defines the Mortlach brand. Pioneered by an engineer and a doctor, whose analytical minds and shared passion for design informed a distinct approach to whisky-making, Mortlach is deeply rooted in thoughtful craftsmanship. SEI by Luca Nichetto is the first product from Mortlach By Design, a program that will partner with some of the world's best designers on bespoke products that culminate in an extraordinary whisky experience.
SEI, made from hand-blown Murano glass, embodies the bold characteristics that differentiate Mortlach. The decanter is rooted in its hexagonal base, a perfect geometric shape directly inspired by Mortlach's unique distillation process, known as "The Way," which features six stills that bring together three distinct streams of liquid to create the whisky's complex taste. From there, SEI - meaning six in Nichetto's native Italian - blossoms into an organic form, mysterious and natural, much like the spirit itself: "The Mortlach distillery was pi by two outliers; the Cowies didn't come from distilling backgrounds and used their design prowess and engineering precision to concept a completely unique approach that has never been replicated," said Nichetto. "As a creative myself, I am so inspired by others who have made their own way, and feel the SEI decanter reflects this bold, innovative spirit."
Handling the decanter itself is a sensual experience; SEI's tactility stems not only from the form, but the treatment of the glass's exterior. The entire piece has a sanded finish that accentuates the color of the liquid within, a hue that almost exactly matches the amber tone popular in Murano glass. Traditionally, decanters were reserved for only the finest of spirits; Nichetto's vessel holds fast to this ideal and is meant to be poured and adored, celebrating the luxurious spirit of Mortlach.
"The world of whisky is steeped in ritual and tradition, but Mortlach, while still a darling of connoisseurs, embodies modern luxury - bold and complex, yet elegant and understated," said Sophie Kelly, Senior VP of Whiskies for North America at Diageo. "Luca truly understands the essence of this spirit, and his decanter complements it perfectly."
SEI will be included in Vessels, an exhibition from SIZED.STUDIO that will showcase over 100 vessels from collaborators, designers, arts, and dealers. The show opens on February 16th and will run for two weeks; all proceeds from any sale of the decanter will be donated to ReBuild Foundation, a Theaster Gates founded platform for art, cultural development, and neighborhood transformation.
The Mortlach By Design series will continue over the course of the year, revealing custom designs by celebrated creatives such as Joe Doucet and Sabine Marcelis, among others. The pieces will celebrate the unique characteristics of Mortlach and will come together to create the ultimate whisky experience.

About Mortlach
The Mortlach distillery was founded in 1823 in Dufftown, Scotland by James Findlater and his two partners, Donald McIntosh and Alexander Gordon. In 1852, the distillery was reopened by John Gordon after a few silent years. In 1853, Gordon took on George Cowie as a partner, a former engineer who spent a career carving the great Scottish railways into the rugged landscape, creating John Gordon & Co. Cowie became the sole proprietor when Gordon died in 1867.
Dr. Alexander Cowie, George's son, oversaw the very first spirit distillation through a completely unique and fiendishly complex process, which he crafted using his scientific acumen. He was not a distiller by trade and had not long returned from a posting in Hong Kong, where he spent five years practicing medicine. After the untimely death of his older brother, he returned to run Dufftown's oldest distillery with his father. George bestowed it all to Alexander when he died, and Alexander doubled the stills his father left him. www.mortlach.com

Angel’s Envy Releases Limited-Edition Rye Whiskey Aged In Ice Cider Casks
The fourth release in ANGEL'S ENVY's Cellar Collection, this limited-run of just 6,000 bottles marks the brand's first new finished rye offering since 2013
Beginning today, members of ANGEL'S ENVY's 500 Main can enter to win the chance to purchase the release ahead of the official launch; public sale will begin on February 25 at select retailers in NY, CA, FL, TN, IL, TX and KY, as well as at ANGEL'S ENVY's distillery
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 15, 2022 -- ANGEL'S ENVY®, the Louisville-based craft distiller that produces small batch, finished whiskeys, today announced the release of its ANGEL'S ENVY Rye Whiskey Finished in Ice Cider Casks. ANGEL'S ENVY created this first-of-its-kind release by finishing seven-year-old, 95% rye whiskey for 364 days in ice cider casks from Vermont-based Eden Specialty Ciders. It is the fourth release in ANGEL'S ENVY's Cellar Collection, the brand's special release program that honors the late Lincoln Henderson's pioneering and innovative spirit.
"The flavor profile of this whiskey is very unique – the spiciness of the rye is balanced by the fruity sweetness from the ice cider casks, and there's a crispness that is really distinct. We've never seen a whiskey finished in ice cider casks before, so we're excited to introduce this finish as part of our Cellar Collection," said Kyle Henderson, ANGEL'S ENVY's Distillery Production Manager. "My brother, Andrew, was the one who found these barrels and raised the idea of an ice cider finish; he's really championed this project from the beginning. As we tasted samples and learned more about the craftsmanship, time and resources required to create each bottle of ice cider, we fell in love with the product and the process and knew these special casks would be an excellent match for our rye."
Ice cider is a dessert-style cider that is produced primarily in the northern US and Canada. The French oak casks used to finish this ANGEL'S ENVY release were used by Eden Specialty Ciders to create an ice cider from tart, late-season Northern Spy apples that had been naturally cold-concentrated in Vermont before partial fermentation and aging. Inspired by the unique, climate-driven elements of ice cider production, ANGEL'S ENVY packaged its Rye Whiskey Finished in Ice Cider Casks in a frosted glass bottle and commemorative gift box.
The limited-edition release, which consists of just 6,000 bottles total, will be available for purchase beginning on February 25 at select retailers in NY, CA, FL, TN, IL, TX and KY, as well as at ANGEL'S ENVY's downtown Louisville distillery. Beginning today, ANGEL'S ENVY 500 Main members can enter for the chance to purchase a bottle ahead of the public sale for pickup at ANGEL'S ENVY's distillery. A total of 500 bottles will be reserved for the 500 Main presale lottery.
ANGEL'S ENVY Rye Whiskey Finished in Ice Cider Casks is 107-proof (53.5% ABV). On the nose, it offers notes of caramel candy apple and toasted oak, with faint notes of nuttiness and cinnamon. The palate features bold peppery and cinnamon notes accompanied by vanilla, ripe apple, toffee and butterscotch. The finish is long and transitions from spicy to sweet, with notes of brown sugar and apple with hints of earthiness and oak. Suggested retail price for a 75omL bottle, which may vary by market, is $249.99. For more information, visit angelsenvy.com/whiskey/IceCiderFinish.

About I.W. Harper
The story of I.W. Harper begins when German immigrant Isaac Wolfe (I.W.) Bernheim arrived in America with $4 and a dream. In 1872, Isaac and his brother Bernard founded their own liquor company as whiskey wholesale dealers and began bottling bourbon as I.W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The spirit quickly gained popularity around the world, leading the brand to shift its focus to the Asian market and cease distribution in the United States by the end of the 1980s. Over 20 years later, the I.W. Harper brand has made its comeback to the U.S., bringing with it a commitment to refinement and authenticity that its original founders embraced.

WoodCraft Bourbon Blender is Taking Craft Bourbon Back to Its Roots
(February 14, 2022 – Cincinnati, Ohio) – The innovators at WoodCraft Bourbon Blender have created a system that brings the custom bourbon of the 1800s to all bourbon lovers today. This has translated into a new way of consuming bourbon by giving patrons what they want; their own personal single barrel bourbon by the glass or bottle.
Initial consumer and industry reaction has been so positive that the team is now franchising WoodCraft Bourbon Blender. The first WoodCraft Bourbon Blender franchise, Barrels & Billets, will open its doors in Louisville, on the famous Whiskey Row, on February 23rd.
This exciting new bourbon experience where guests can blend, create and bottle their very own bourbon will complement Louisville’s thriving bourbon tourism industry by offering guests a fun and unique way to participate in the blending of their own personal bourbon. Guests will blend with six award-winning WoodCraft bourbons which include a 200 Year Oak, European Oak, American Oak, Cherry Wood, Maple Wood, and Smoked Oak. During the experience, guests will learn the art of bourbon blending before the blending process begins. Once the blending experience is complete, guests can have their recipe bottled onsite.
The franchisee is the Hillerich family - famous for their Louisville Slugger baseball bats. They have a link to whiskey as the original family immigrant, J. Frederick, was a barrel maker. They also have showcased years of expertise with consumer experiences such as their famous Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory.
“Some may be wondering why a sports and attraction company is getting into the bourbon business, but Barrels & Billets is actually a continuation of H&B’s long history of creating uniquely Louisville experiences for our fans and guests,” said John Hillerich, President & CEO of Hillerich & Bradsby Co.
Co-founders Doug Hall and Joe Girgash created the WoodCraft finishing system to offer everyone the ability to have their own custom bourbon. Despite the chaos of Covid, they’ve worked through massive regulatory and production issues to make it possible for everyone to have their own bourbon again - one drink or one bottle at a time for a reasonable price. As Doug says, “Owning your own custom bourbon distillery is a ton of fun. That said, you need to have patience as the process for regulatory approval is painful.”
It took three long years to turn this dream into a reality. Doug leveraged the invention skills from his other company, The Eureka! Ranch, and worked through the many challenges including those outlined below.
- Working through state and federal rules and regulations
- Teaching customers how to create their own custom bourbon recipes
- Creating a way for the custom bourbon to have reliability so that it can be repurchased at later dates
- Discovering a cost-effective system for creating individual bottles for the custom bourbon
The process is simple. Consumers can create their custom bourbon three ways:
- Enjoy a one hour blending experience, while learning about the art and science of master bourbon blending
- Work with a 2 minute Artificial Intelligence Bourbon Wizard
- Buy a custom Bourbon Blending Kit to do at home guided by an internet accessible video.
However, it doesn’t end here. Doug and Joe are constantly working on next steps.
They will continue to expand the franchising of the free-standing WoodCraft Bourbon Blending Machines in stores, as well as fractional franchising in over 20,000 distilleries, breweries, and wineries. With a low investment, and small space requirement - franchisees can soon offer custom bourbon experiences and bourbon bottles to their clients.
They are also developing a way for a version of the blending machine to be available in bars and restaurants. Additionally, they are building on their initial success of Dexter Bourbon and Noble Oak Bourbon and working to develop limited edition releases for franchisees to sell. And, Doug, as a Canadian-American, is in talks to take the franchising of custom bourbon to Canada, and ultimately, around the world.
WoodCraft Bourbon Blending Franchising is currently not available in all states. In keeping with Federal and State laws there is a disclosure process that must be followed. To learn more, please visit www.BourbonFranchise.com
Eastside Distilling Launches New Premium Maraschino Cherry Whiskey In Continuing Limited Release Flavored Whiskey Lineup
New flavored whiskey made exclusively with Luxardo's Italian Imported Cherry Liqueur
PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 14, 2022 - Just in time for Valentine's Day, Portland's Eastside Distilling will release its first ever Maraschino Cherry Whiskey, crafted with Eastside's rare whiskey blend and Italy's premier Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur. This will be the second flavored whiskey in Eastside's lineup, following the release of Marionberry Whiskey in fall 2021.
The famed Luxardo cherry liqueur is the original Maraschino, made from sour Marasca cherries since 1821 by the Luxardo family. It is distilled using the fruit's skins, pits, leaves, and stems, giving it a distinct nutty flavor. Luxardo's Marasca cherries are the gold standard, harvested at peak season during the summer, resulting in an aromatic, sweet-tart, and real fruit-tasting liqueur that is unrivaled. Eastside's new Cherry Whiskey was made exclusively with permission from Luxardo.
"Combining Old World liqueur with select casks of New World American whiskey creates a unique and approachable product that's the perfect addition to any bar, and is sure to entice consumers new to the world of whiskey," says Jason Ericson, Eastside's Head Distiller. "This unique fruited whiskey is guaranteed to transport the senses to the Italian Riviera."
Eastside Cherry Whiskey is perfectly balanced and not too sweet. It has a bright, distinct aroma of cherry mixed with whiskey notes of dry fig and oak tannins. It tastes of cherry fruit, vanilla, and pie crust, with hints of citrus. Bottled at 30% ABV, it excels as a cocktail base or as an addition to any drink.
It will be available for purchase starting today, February 14, at select liquor stores in Oregon for $39.95 and online at eastsidedistilling.com with nationwide shipping, while supplies last. Distribution will also expand to California, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas this year.

Green River Distilling Co. Releases Green River Bourbon
OWENSBORO, Ky., Feb. 10, 2022 Green River Distilling Co., the 10th oldest distillery in the state of Kentucky, today announced the launch of its flagship Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Aged more than five years, this is the first Green River bourbon to hit shelves in more than a century and comes on the heels of the distillery's historic revival in September 2020.
Green River Distilling Co. was founded in 1885 by John W. McCulloch, a man focused on quality and considered a visionary in sales and marketing. McCulloch traveled the world to promote Green River Whiskey, and it quickly became known as some of the finest in Kentucky. Green River won many international awards, including a gold medal and "best of show" at the Paris Exposition in 1900, and later a grand prize at the 1905 Liege Exposition in Belgium. It was also known as "The Whiskey Without Regrets," one of the most memorable advertising slogans in bourbon.
Fire and Prohibition relegated Green River to history. Now, more than 100 years later, history has come full circle with the release of the new Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Today's Green River bourbon was distilled by Master Distiller Jacob Call, an eighth-generation distiller and Kentuckian. Call's family distilling history stretches back to the earliest days of bourbon when his ancestor Samuel Call distilled whiskey on his Kentucky farm in the late 1700s. Green River was known for its quality whiskey, and Call and his team are proud to bring the same commitment to distilling Green River bourbon today.
"For the first time in more than 100 years, Green River bourbon is flowing inside the walls of its original home," said Call. "As someone with a family connection to the first days of Kentucky bourbon, being a part of the revival of such a legendary whiskey has been the opportunity of a lifetime."
Pre-Prohibition, Owensboro was an epicenter of bourbon production in Kentucky with more than 20 distilleries in the city. Green River was one of the most important, and its rebirth helps bring the city's rich bourbon heritage back to life.
"Visiting the Green River distillery in Owensboro is like stepping back in time to earlier days of bourbon production in the United States," said Eric Gregory, President of the Kentucky Distillers' Association. "Many bourbon lovers don't realize that Owensboro and Western Kentucky were among the most important regions for bourbon production in the 1800s. When you're standing on the Green River campus, you're standing on hallowed ground."
Each bottle of today's Green River bourbon includes the phrase "The Pride of Owensboro" to pay homage to the city and its bourbon legacy.
"I'm proud of our team's great work bringing Green River back to life in Owensboro after years of dormancy – not only because of what it means to our company, but what it means for this wonderful city," said Simon Burch, CEO of Green River Distilling Co. "In its heyday, Green River's success was intrinsically linked to Owensboro's proud whiskey making heritage. The revival of the brand will make this true once again, and we plan to sell it far and wide, just like the original Green River."
Burch worked closely with John's great-grandson Rob McCulloch to revive the Green River brand. "We're so grateful to Rob for sharing his family's history with us, and it's a privilege to continue to build on the legacy that John McCulloch created," said Burch.
On the revival, Rob McCulloch said, "I've always wanted to see Green River whiskey made at its original location in Owensboro. It completes the story my great-grandfather started in 1885."
The new Green River bottle design took cues from the brand's past, including key icons like horseshoes, rivets, and the original Green River colors. "We worked with local historians and spent time in museums and Owensboro libraries to immerse ourselves in the Green River pre-Prohibition world," said Cathy Steen, Chief Commercial Officer. "We had a wonderful archive that inspired us to think about how the brand design would have organically evolved for today's bourbon fans."
A limited release of Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey will be available for purchase at select retail locations in Kentucky in February for $34.99 (SRP). It will be available for purchase at the Green River Distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky, beginning at 10 am CST tomorrow, Friday, February 11, 2022. The distillery will be open with a celebration of Bluegrass, BBQ, and Bourbon until 6 pm CST. In the coming months, Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey will also be rolling out to select retailers in Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, and Northwest Florida. For more information on availability, including online availability in Kentucky and a select few other states, visit www.greenriverwhiskey.com.
Tasting Notes
Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is 90 proof and has been aged more than five years at the distillery in Owensboro. It is rich in color with an amber hue and made with all Kentucky-grown corn, most from Daviess County. The mash bill is 70% corn, 21% winter rye, and 9% malted 2 and 6-row barley. The higher rye content results in a bourbon with warming spice notes on the nose and palate. Additional aroma notes to look for include cinnamon, dried cherry, and light leather. For taste, it has notes of cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, and chocolate mint. The finish is rich, thick, and lingering.
Charity Auction in Support of Western Kentucky Tornado Relief
At the brand's launch event on February 10, 2022, an auction will be held to raise money for those affected by the devastating tornadoes in Western Kentucky. World-renowned artist Aaron Kizer, the distillery's artistic director, hand-painted 10 barrels filled with Green River bourbon for auction.
Visit the Distillery in Owensboro
On the western end of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, the distillery in Owensboro is a great place to visit and the first stop for many whiskey lovers as they make their way East. The city is considered one of the most important spots in the history of bourbon, allowing visitors to experience the roots of America's favorite spirit. While visiting, people can experience the thriving Owensboro community and experience its sights, sounds, and tastes. Visitors can learn more about COVID-19 precautions and book a visit on the distillery website at www.greenriverdistilling.com.

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 11, 2022 Today, Cutwater Spirits, the most awarded canned cocktail brand in the U.S., announces its first-ever national commercial airing during the Big Game on Sunday, February 13. In Cutwater's breakthrough spot, "Here's to the Lazy Ones," the brand redefines "lazy" as ingenious, because the ones who make the most of their time are the ones who are ahead of it. The spot can be viewed HERE.

Each vignette lightheartedly spotlights innovators who save time while still getting the most out of life with their favorite Cutwater canned cocktails.
"We've never taken ourselves too seriously and that sentiment carries through in our first national Big Game commercial as we celebrate the ingenuity of working smarter, not harder," says Cutwater Co-Founder and Master Distiller, Yuseff Cherney. "Since day one, we have been committed to using our own real spirits to make the best bar-quality cocktails available in a can so folks can spend more time doing the things they love!".
Creative concept developed and executed by AKQA Agency and directed by award winning director Tom Kuntz, the spot will run in black and white featuring Cutwater's canned cocktails as the only pops of color.
As pioneers of the canned cocktail category, Cutwater is best known for its lineup of over 20 canned cocktail classics, made from its acclaimed portfolio of distilled spirits spanning nearly every category. Ingenuity struck co-founder and master distiller Yuseff Cherney in 2017 when he merged his brewer background and familiarity with the canned format with his award-winning spirits and mixers to create great-tasting canned cocktails he could take anywhere.
"The ready-to-drink spirits category has grown nearly triple digits over the past year and Cutwater Spirits is poised to lead category growth as more consumers discover the convenience of Cutwater's bar-quality canned cocktails," says Fabricio Zonzini, President, Beyond Beer. "Cutwater's Big Game spot will continue to accelerate awareness for this incredible brand as we focus on expanding Cutwater's footprint across the nation."
The work smarter, not harder theme will be an ongoing campaign platform for Cutwater Spirits throughout 2022. The brand will continue to innovate with the introduction of light & refreshing cocktails in new sleek cans, additional full-flavored classic cocktails and frozen cocktail pops to provide bar-quality cocktails that can be enjoyed anywhere.
