The bottle celebrating the 121st U.S. Open Championship at Torrey Pines is expected to be released in the last week of May and will be available from the lead-up to the championship through the final round on Father's Day.

The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. Sets the Record for the World's Most Expensive Whiskey Collection in Partnership With Fabergé
LONDON, March 19, 2021 A new world record has been achieved for the world's most expensive whiskey collectors' set, following the global unveiling of the highly anticipated 'The Emerald Isle Collection' by The Craft Irish Whiskey Co., in partnership with Fabergé.
The inaugural launch of these highly limited boxes has set a world record at $2million USD. The final bid and private sale of the first Emerald Isle box to be released was secured jointly on St Patrick's Day (17th March) by Houston-based Fabergé collectors, James and Korrine Whipkey, and a group of private investors led by Scott H. Weissman. As part of this sale, all proceeds will go to the Correa Family Foundation, a charity supporting children affected by cancer, chaired by Major League Baseball star, Carlos Correa.
The remaining six Emerald Isle experiences boxes will be released at auctions and events in key cities throughout 2021.
Jay Bradley, Founder, The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. commented: "My company shares the same brand vision as Fabergé – to create timeless beauty and a lasting legacy. I am delighted to have set a world record, for the second time in three months and proud to be able to donate the full proceeds of this sale to the Correa Family Foundation, a cause which is very close to my heart as my own daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare form cancer, when she was just five-months old. Thanks to the charities like the Correa Family Foundation, she is now a healthy 19-year-old and I am honoured to be able to support the foundation through this contribution."
Carlos Correa, Chairman of the Correa Family Foundation said, "I'm very thankful to The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. and Jay Bradley to be generous enough to donate the first release of The Emerald Isle to our foundation. This is a huge contribution to the Correa Family Foundation and will change thousands of lives. Seeing a sick child battle cancer and what it does to their families in normal times is heart-breaking, and something that Jay and his family have experienced first-hand but going through it during a global pandemic is truly unimaginable."
The generous donation will support underserved childhood cancer patients. The charity helps cover daily expenses including food, transportation and rent for over 15,000 children with cancer.
'The Emerald Isle Collection' is The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.'s second release, following the launch of The Devil's Keep – a triple distilled, 29-year-old single malt whiskey – which also set a world record for most expensive inaugural release when it sold at auction in November 2020 for $60,000 USD (approximately £46,000/€51,000 Euros). 'The Emerald Isle Collection' now takes the crown as the oldest and rarest triple distilled Irish single malt in the world, comprising a seven-piece custom-made whiskey set which celebrates the 'Seven Wonders of Ireland'.
Beautifully presented in a dark walnut experience box, each set features a bottle of ultra-rare, single cask, 30-year-old, triple distilled single malt Irish whiskey, accompanied by two exclusive creations from Fabergé – the first-of-its-kind Fabergé Celtic Egg and bespoke 1/1 Fabergé watch. Each collection also includes a humidor with two limited edition and sold out, ultra-rare Cohiba Siglo VI Grand Reserva (2009) cigars. Top rated scoring 100/100, it is the holy grail of cigar collectibles and has increased by over 1,200% in value in the last decade. It also features a gold-plated cigar cutter, gold plated water pipette, pure obsidian whiskey stones, a hip flask with a sample of the Emerald Isle whiskey, and a carafe filled with Irish spring water from the same region where the whiskey was made.
Each experience box has been inspired by the shape of an emerald, and features an illustration of one of the 'wonders' of Ireland and its geographical coordinates, making each box one of a kind. Inside each box is the pièce de resistance, the hand-crafted whiskey bottle containing the 'liquid gold' – a collector's item in its own right, design inspired by the Imperial Fabergé Hen Egg from 1885. All bottles of whiskey are accompanied by a bespoke - first of its kind - Fabergé Celtic Egg. Each egg is handcrafted from 18k yellow gold and features Fabergé's legendary guilloché enamel in a pastel green; the green, white and gold colours of the egg symbolising the Irish flag. Inside, a unique surprise awaits in the form of a rough, uncut Gemfields Zambian emerald. This represents a feature that is truly historical, as it is the first time Fabergé has ever featured an uncut gemstone as the egg's surprise. The uncut gem can be customised by Fabergé into an exquisite one-of-a-kind piece of Fabergé jewellery.

Whisky Goes Global: Wales Firmly at the Forefront of International Spirits Explosion
Welsh whisky is fast rising up worldwide. While many people assume Scotland is the leading exporter of great-tasting single malts and whisky the world over, it’s a bit further down the UK where things are really starting to stir up interest with spirits lovers. Penderyn, South Wales' own global whisky goliath, is right at the forefront of an explosion of interest.
According to recent reports on whisky sales worldwide, the spirits market is growing at an exponential rate. The industry is set to be worth almost US$96 billion by 2026, and it’s largely thanks to international names in distilling making a big splash in the past few years.
That’s a market growth of around 6.4%, year on year, heading into the middle of the decade. It’s increasingly clear that we need to look closer to home – Wales, in particular – to find some of the most increasingly popular whisky bottlings and brands.
Penderyn, an award-winning distillery based up in the Brecon Beacons, is leading the charge. Across the past two years, Stephen Davies’ firm has picked up a raft of awards from international tasting bodies, including a Double Gold for their Peated Single Malt at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
“It’s been a whirlwind few years for all of us here at Penderyn,” says Davies. “Despite the global challenges we’ve all been facing especially this past 12 months, we’re enormously thrilled to still be delighting so many whisky lovers and experts the world over.”
Penderyn is certainly helping to place Wales on the world whisky map, with awards and appraisals coming from all corners. The Brecon Beacons based Distillery made huge waves at the Spirits Business World Whisky Masters in 2020, claiming five Gold awards for its Madeira, Peated, Celt, Myth and Moscatel Small Batch bottlings.
Their Portwood bottlings have also really claimed the tastebuds of spirits fans the world over, with the bottling scoring big at the IWSC and the Whiskies of the World competitions in recent times.
Whisky sales appear to be steady despite major changes in global ‘normality’ as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Penderyn has successfully pivoted to online sales as well as virtual tastings, meaning fans of the brand can continue to enjoy their bottlings from the safety of home.
“It’s important to keep moving forward regardless of global challenges,” Davies says. “We’re extremely fortunate to be in a position where our customers can buy and enjoy our spirits safely at home. Our continued success via international competitions have also really helped us to stay in the forefront of people’s minds.”
“Post-pandemic, we will be looking at new, creative ways to reach out to our audiences. Of course, given the huge success of our virtual tours and tastings over the course of the past 12 months, we have every intention to keep this side of our business running, too!”
While big players in the international whisky scene – such as Johnny Walker, Diageo and Jack Daniel’s – continue to drive bulk interest in the spirit, it is names such as Davies’ firm which are, unarguably, helping to keep things particularly interesting for single malt lovers the world over.
“Who knows where we’ll be in five years’ time,” says Davies. “The only way is up – and we’ve no intention of resting on our laurels.”
“Big favourites such as the Portwood, the Madeira and the Rich Oak are sticking around for good. But what kind of distillery would we be to our fans if we didn’t innovate every once in a while?”

ABOUT PENDERYN DISTILLERY / THE WELSH WHISKY COMPANY:
www.penderyn.wales
Penderyn Whisky is made at the Penderyn Distillery which is located on the southern foothills of the famous Brecon Beacons National Park, north-west of Cardiff, and north-east of Swansea.
Small stills existed in Wales in the 4th century, but the last whisky officially distilled in Wales was produced by the original, but short-lived Welsh Whisky Company at the Frongoch Distillery in Bala, North Wales, which closed in the early 1900s. Other notable characters in Wales’ whisky past include David Lloyd George, the only Welsh Prime Minister of Great Britain, who introduced the ‘3 year/1 day’ rule for whisky maturing; and Evan Williams (from Dale in Pembrokeshire) who was one of the founders of the American Bourbon industry.
The idea for Penderyn was conceived by a group of friends sitting around a pub table in The Glancynon Inn in nearby Hirwaun, who decided to re-introduce the lost art of whisky distilling to Wales when they bought an un-commissioned whisky still designed by Dr David Faraday, a descendant of the famous Victorian scientist, Michael Faraday. Their dream was to create a world-class single malt whisky.
On Thursday 14 September 2000 the first distillation was carried out. The whisky is distilled in a unique single column still, producing a flavourful spirit at 92% abv which is married with water from the Brecon Beacons. The late great Master Distiller Dr Jim Swan came on board in 2002 and his vision helped create Penderyn’s unique style. Penderyn Whisky was launched in the presence of HRH Prince Charles on St David’s Day, 2004.
Penderyn is an independent distillery, employing around 50 dedicated craftsmen, staff and professionals and has around 60 shareholders. It is now one of the most influential Welsh exports, respecting the long heritage of whisky production and combining this with an innovative approach to distilling, marketing and branding. Former Wales Government First Minister Carwyn Jones described Penderyn as ‘...one of the great Welsh manufacturing success stories of recent times.’
In June 2016 it was announced that a 2nd Penderyn Distillery was being planned for the historic Copperworks site in Swansea, and a 3rd for Llandudno in North Wales.

Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey Becomes Best-Selling African American Owned And Founded Spirit Brand Of All Time
SHELBYVILLE, Tenn., March 9, 2021- Today, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, the most award-winning American whiskey - including Bourbon - brand of 2019 and 2020, announces it has now become the best-selling African American owned and founded spirit brand in history, selling nearly 1.5 million bottles of its sought after super premium whiskey. The company's whiskey portfolio, available in more than 21,000 locations, is currently made up of its small batch whiskey (SRP $49.99), its rare single barrel whiskey (SRP $119), and its core aged whiskey offering (SRP $59.99).
"The spirits industry has never seen anything like this in all the years that data has been tracked through the three major data collection agencies for the industry," said Donn Bichsel, founder of 3 Tier Beverages, a spirits data collection and analyzation company. "No African American founded and led spirit brand has ever come close to what the Uncle Nearest brand and team have done. We analyzed every piece of credible data and Uncle Nearest is undoubtedly the top seller of all time, with the rest of the top 10 being so far behind, that they barely registered."
Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey debuted in July 2017 and expanded into all 50 states in less than two years. Built on its knack for sourcing the best of Tennessee Whiskeys and Bourbons, the whiskey is made using a non- temperature-controlled aging process and a unique post-aging double filtration method, which is then blended to perfection by fifth generation Nearest Green descendant and Uncle Nearest's master blender, Victoria Eady Butler. This process, in part, has led to the whiskey garnering more than 160 awards in its first three years, including Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirit Competition and back-to-back honors of "World's Best" at Whisky Magazine's World Whiskies Awards, who last month presented Butler with their coveted Icons of Whisky award for Master Blender of the Year. Additionally, the groundbreaking company was a 2020 Inc. Magazine Best in Business honoree, and earlier today was named one of the top ten Most Innovative Companies in the North America category on Fast Company's prestigious annual list of the Most Innovative Companies for 2021.
In the fourth quarter of last year, Uncle Nearest was forced to throttle its growth, according to Fawn Weaver, CEO and founder of the brand. "Our bottling and distilling partner did an incredible job of ensuring every area of the distillery was socially distanced and followed the strictest COVID-19 guidelines, which meant we could only move so quickly and had to cap our third full year at 120,000 cases sold," said Weaver. In spite of that, the company recently announced to investors its ninth quarter in a row of more than 100% growth over the same time the previous year, and is on track to make that ten.
This month, Uncle Nearest greatly increased its shipping and bottling capabilities at its Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tenn., with the company on track to sell 250,000 cases this year, only its fourth full year since their debut.
"I couldn't be more excited that this announcement is coming on the heels of International Women's Day, given that we are the only major spirit brand with an all-female executive team," said Victoria Eady Butler. "Reaching this achievement at this moment in time is important as it reminds folks that whiskey is the great equalizer. The support this brand has received has been across every race and gender. As it turns out, people just care that it's a damn good whiskey, only matched by the remarkable legacy of my ancestor."
About Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey
Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey honors the world's first known African American master distiller, Nearest Green. Uncle Nearest is currently available in all 50 states and 12 countries (while shipping into a total of 148 countries), in more than 21,000 stores, bars, restaurants, and at its 270-acre distillery in Shelbyville, Tenn., dubbed as "Malt Disney World." Whiskey Meets Tequila: Sagamore Spirit Releases Tequila Finish Rye
Available for a limited time, latest Maryland-style rye whiskey from 100x-award-winning distillery offers hints of agave, honey, fig, and orange
BALTIMORE, March 2, 2021 Struggling with that age-old question, "whiskey or tequila"? Sagamore Spirit says why not both? With the calendar counting down to Cinco de Mayo, the award-winning distiller today announced the release of its newest limited-edition rye whiskey that brings the best of both worlds: Sagamore Spirit Distiller's Select Tequila Finish.
The new offering, available nationwide, finishes Sagamore Spirit Straight Rye Whiskey in Extra Añejo barrels. The result is a full-bodied yet approachable rye that telegraphs tequila in all the right ways, with hints of agave, citrus, spice, warm oak and vanilla on the nose, and even more agave, peppercorn, fig and orange to taste. Marked at a substantial 98-proof, it is a spirit meant to be sipped and savored.
"Melding a full-bodied rye whiskey with tequila may sound like a risky move, but our distilling team welcomes risks that can bring big rewards," said Brian Treacy, Sagamore Spirit's president. "Like Maryland-style rye, tequila has a history that's deeply rooted in a sense of place, so to us, this union made perfect sense. The end result perfectly captures what's special about each spirit to give fans of both spirits something unexpected, seasonal and full of flavor – just in time for warmer weather."
Despite tequila's more than 350-year history, Extra Añejo is a newer sub-category that requires tequila to be aged for at least three years in oak barrels. Akin to rye whiskey's aging process, Extra Añejo tequila interacts with the barrel staves longer, resulting in some of the most complex and elegant tequilas in the world. When it came time to select barrels for Tequila Finish, Sagamore Spirit's team of distillers sought out casks that had nurtured tequila in such a way and had aged both Añejo and Extra Añejo tequila for at least seven years.
Tequila Finish is part of the Sagamore Spirit Reserve Series, a collection of limited-edition Maryland-style rye whiskies aged in barrels that formerly aged other spirits, wines, or beers. Past releases include Manhattan Finish, Rye Ale Finish (aged in Sierra Nevada beer barrels) and Calvados Finish.
While Tequila Finish will only be available for a limited time, fans can enjoy Sagamore Spirit year-round with its Signature, Double Oak, and Cask Strength rye whiskies, the distillery's core offerings that are leading the Maryland-style rye revival across the country.
Sagamore Spirit Distiller's Select Tequila Finish will be available nationwide beginning March in 750ml bottles at a suggested retail price of $69. To find a bottle near you visit sagamorespirit.com/find-rye.
About Sagamore Spirit
Sagamore Spirit is committed to inspiring a global passion for Maryland Rye Whiskey. Its award-winning five-acre waterfront distillery in Baltimore is reclaiming the city's rightful place in America's whiskey history, where storied distillers perfected rye whiskey for more than 150 years before Kentucky was founded.
Maryland Rye Whiskey was known to be full bodied yet notably more approachable than other regional rye styles, and Sagamore Spirit has picked up the torch. Its straight rye whiskies have earned more than 100 awards internationally, including "World's Best Rye Whiskey" in 2019 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Sagamore Spirit's distillation team blends two different rye mash bills – a high rye and a low rye – and then adds pure Maryland limestone-filtered spring water, transported 22 miles from Sagamore Farm, to craft the brand's Signature 83-proof Maryland-Style Rye Whiskey. To learn more about Sagamore Spirit's signature expressions, including Cask Strength and Double Oak, as well as limited-time releases, visit www.SagamoreSpirit.com.

503 Distilling releases Huckleberry Lemonade canned craft cocktail
OREGON CITY, Ore.—March 1, 2021—Artisanal craft distillery 503 Distilling has launched a brand new flavor in its portfolio of ready-to-drink canned craft cocktails. I’m Your Huckleberry Lemonade features 503 Vodka infused with handpicked Idaho wild huckleberries and then blended with fresh-squeezed lemonade. The cocktail is packaged in single 12-ounce cans and four-packs.
“I'm your huckleberry” is a phrase from the Old West, meaning that a person is essentially up for anything. 503 Distilling found wild huckleberries—small, tart berries that taste like a hybrid of a blueberry and raspberry—to be ideal for complementing the company’s handcrafted vodka along with fresh-squeezed lemonade for a thirst-quenching beverage.
“While huckleberry season in the Northwest is typically in late summer, our Huckleberry Lemonade is up for any season and can be enjoyed straight from the can all year-round,” said Rusty Caldwell, co-owner of 503 Distilling.
I’m Your Huckleberry Lemonade joins 503 Distilling’s award-winning lineup of canned craft cocktails, including The Wicked Mule, The Blood Orange Greyhound, La Vida Mocha, and Five-0-Tea. The newest product’s MSRP is $13.99 in Washington and Idaho, and $14.95 in Oregon.
I’m Your Huckleberry Lemonade is available now at 503 Distilling, located at 275 Beavercreek Road, Suite 149, in Oregon City. Orders can be placed at 503distilling.com for curbside pick up or shipping within the state of Oregon. It is also available in Oregon liquor stores and select on-premise retailers; in Washington at select Safeway/Albertsons, Whole Foods, and other independent retailers; and in Idaho at Boise Co-op, Whole Foods, Sunset Markets, and other independent retailers.
