Crown Royal Partners with Celebrity Grillz Makers, Scotty ATL and Eddie Plein, to Announce Newest Whisky Blend Aged 18 Years
The award-winning whisky brand is redefining luxury and celebrating the gems of Atlanta's community with first of its kind grillz collaboration benefiting the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund
ATLANTA, Dec. 14, 2021 In time for the holiday season, Crown Royal is celebrating the release of the award-winning whisky brand's most luxurious variant to date. Crown Royal Aged 18 Years is a rare blend of exceptional whiskies, handcrafted by their master blender, patiently aged to perfection for eighteen years. In honor of the release, Crown Royal commissioned celebrity grillz maker Scotty ATL, to create four exclusive grillz sets using the liquid variant as the inspiration, in a first of its kind collaboration that celebrates new royalty and redefines luxury in the Atlanta community.
Experience the interactive Multimedia News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/8996151-crown-royal-partners-grillz-makers-scotty-atl-eddie-plein-whisky/
Crown Royal Aged 18 Years has layers of intensity that are both surprising and delightful. Enticing notes of vanilla and stone fruit greet the nose, followed by the velvety body of light oak tempered by caramel spice. Delicate notes of nougat linger in the full-bodied finish. These layers, like the grillz art form, offer rare luxury that surprise and excite the person experiencing it.
"It's an honor to partner with Crown Royal on the launch of Crown Royal Aged 18 Years, their rarest whisky blend, in a way that pays homage to the craft of creating grillz and its impact on Atlanta culture and our community," says Scotty. "There is a thoughtful process to each grillz set I make, from selecting the materials to sizing it for the most perfect fit. I make sure all my clients are left feeling like royalty, much like the feeling after a sip of Crown Royal Aged 18 Years."
In the creation of the grillz Scotty collaborated with a mentor and legend in his own right, Eddie Plein, "the Originator and Godfather of Grillz." Through Plein's continued mentorship in this unique jewelry art form Scotty was able to create extra rare grillz sets that are made with rare VVS diamonds, opals, and 1-of-1 engraved arrows, nodding to Crown 18 Year Old's bottle design. The foundation of the grillz is made from Super Gold, a term coined by Scotty to describe the highest karat of gold he uses for his most luxurious grillz sets.
"I am excited to be a part of Crown Royal's announcement of their latest variant and see the evolution of the grillz culture. While grillz once symbolized poverty and tough economic times to some, they have now become a marker of culture, elevation, and the new definition of luxury," Eddie shared.
With only four of these grillz sets in the world, one was molded for Scotty himself, two were made for Grammy-nominated and Atlanta playmaker duo, EARTHGANG, who routinely pay homage to the unique southern Black culture of Atlanta through their soulful tunes and one set is up for auction via PopShop Live on December 15th at 6 PM ET. The public will have an opportunity to bid for a chance to own a piece of rare luxury, with the proceeds (I.e., the winning bid ) benefiting the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund, whose mission is to help feed and support artists (musicians, dancers, painters, actors, etc.) that make up the fabric of the Atlanta community.^ As part of their ongoing commitment to support local communities, Crown Royal will match the final auction sale price up to $10,000.
"Our artistry is founded on principles instilled in us as we grew up in Atlanta," EARTHGANG shared, "and because of the city's impact on our lives, we've always been a mouthpiece for the culture and our community. Our partnership with Crown Royal allows us to give back to the community that raised us, while appreciating the time it takes to create something so luxurious as Crown Royal Aged 18 Years, much like each song we make."
The specialty pieces highlight how luxury and rareness are not only something you can see. They come from within, showcasing the values and uniqueness that comes from Atlanta's rich history and culture, evolving over time into something exquisite.
"The Atlanta community is rooted in luxury and defining the culture today," Nicola Heckles, Vice President of Crown Royal, explains. "We are honored to partner with this next generation of artists and changemakers and happy to be able to support the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund, all while enjoying the crown jewel of our rarest stock, Crown Royal Aged 18 Years."
The sets were unveiled during an intimate event with Atlanta's most prominent tastemakers. Atlanta-based cellist on the rise, OkCello, provided entertainment for the night, while photographer and city native, Inari Briana captured the spirit of the event with stylized portraits of the guests.
Crown Royal invites everyone 21+ to toast to the artist communities. Please remember to drink responsibly. Crown Royal Aged 18 Years will be available in the United States at liquor stores, select bars and restaurants in limited quantities and online via Drizly in select locations.
*Must be 21+ to bid. Grillz offered for sale AS IS. To create grillz, winning bidder must complete custom mold and ship back to Scotty ATL, allowing 2-3 weeks for production. Bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase custom grillz set at corresponding price. Auction ends December 15th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. Winning bid may not be tax deductible. Subject to Auction Rules here; be sure to review all rules, including complete item description before bidding.

BOURBON COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO BENEFIT WESTERN KENTUCKY
FRED MINNICK, THE KENTUCKY DISTILLERS' ASSOCIATION AND THE BOURBON CRUSADERS HOST
THE KENTUCKY BOURBON BENEFIT, DECEMBER 16 - 21
Bourbon curator Fred Minnick, The Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA) and The Bourbon Crusaders charitable organization partner for a fundraising event to support recovery and rebuilding efforts from the tornados that ravaged Western Kentucky.
The Kentucky Bourbon Benefit will feature an online and live auction of exclusive private barrel selection experiences, rare and vintage spirits, and unique tasting and tourism offerings from Kentucky’s signature distilling industry and hospitality and charitable partners.
The online auction will begin Thursday, Dec. 16 at 5 PM EST and run until Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 10 PM EST. A live-streamed auction will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21 starting at 7 PM EST at Westport Whiskey & Wine in Louisville and will feature elite and immersive items from Kentucky’s legendary distillers.
“I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of support in recent days,” says Gov. Andy Beshear. “I appreciate our signature Bourbon industry quickly stepping up to raise much-needed money for Kentucky families that have lost so much in this tragedy.”
“Kentuckians are hurting," adds KDA President Eric Gregory. "They’ve lost their homes, loved ones and their livelihoods. It’s our obligation as a signature industry – and duty as fellow Kentuckians – to help each other in times of crisis. There is a real urgency here. These are our friends and neighbors, and they need help now.”
Auction items can be viewed and bid on via kybourbonbenefit.com.
All proceeds will go directly to the state’s official Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund to assist those impacted by the tornados and severe storms of Saturday, Dec. 11. To learn more or make a donation, visit secure.kentucky.gov/formservices/Finance/WKYRelief.
“We've been the recipients of so much generous hospitality from the fine people of Kentucky,” says The Bourbon Crusaders founder RJ Sargent. “They've treated us like family. When we saw the chance to give back, our members jumped at the opportunity.”
“Kentucky Bourbon is a community that spans throughout the Bluegrass State and from whiskey bars in Sidney to the collectors in Manitoba," adds Minnick. "Bourbon lovers everywhere want to help rebuild Western Kentucky with our hands, hearts and wallets.
“Private collectors, Kentucky distillers, out-of-state brands and celebrities donated rare auction items that will surely break records. The Bourbon community believes in the Commonwealth's bond of Bourbon and knows it can bring us together to rebuild.”
Offerings include more than 20 private barrel experiences, where Bourbon enthusiasts can personally taste and select their own one-of-a-kind barrel under the tutelage of the brand’s Master Distiller. Each barrel usually yields 150-200 bottles depending on age and proof.
Whiskey aficionados with The Bourbon Crusaders have raided their collections and donated dozens of limited edition and single barrel expressions of Bourbon, rye and Scotch whiskies. Distillers also have donated rare bottles that disappeared from retailer’s shelves long ago.
Minnick, a best-selling author and expert on all things Bourbon, utilized his renowned distilling and celebrity connections to reap a treasure trove of bottles, private experiences and memorabilia to fulfill any whiskey lover’s dream.
On the hospitality side, companies along the KDA’s world-famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail® tour have donated overnight stays at charming bed and breakfast stops, transportation and tourism packages, a six-foot tall Christmas tree made out of barrel staves and much more.
In addition to the auction, there will be a dedicated “buy it now” section where people can purchase bottles and other items without breaking the bank. Due to COVID and space restrictions, the live auction is not open to the public. Items will be available for viewing online and streaming.
Organizers have been humbled and overwhelmed by the generosity of distillers and partners from outside Kentucky that offered assistance and items for the auction. Kentucky distillers also are sending pallets of hand sanitizer to Western Kentucky that remain from COVID relief efforts.
“The outpouring has been enormous,” Sargent said. “We immediately began receiving texts and calls throughout Kentucky and from coast to coast from our members, friends and partners in the national Bourbon community who knew that we could help them help Kentuckians.”
Gregory said he began making calls to distillers early Saturday morning when daylight gave way to the devastation of the tornados. Not one distiller turned down his request to donate barrels or bottles to the cause.
“I really didn’t have to ask,” he said. “They knew why I was calling and they were ready to help in any way. It could have been any of their communities or families or colleagues. That’s Bourbon. That’s the Kentucky spirit shining through. We’re all about taking care of each other.
“After all, Bourbon is America’s spirit and Kentucky is its birthplace. When Kentucky hurts, we hurt, and that’s why we’re doing this. Thank you to everyone who is helping in the recovery and rebuilding efforts, and please continue praying for our beloved Commonwealth and its people.”

The Singleton Scotch Whisky Launches 'The Course of a Feast': a World-first Dining Experience that Allows Guests to Create a Unique Artwork
LONDON, Dec. 9, 2021 - A one-of-a-kind embodiment of the art of feasting has been created by The Singleton, as part of a new dining experience which distils the movements of guests throughout dinner into a digital artwork. The first of these new dining experiences which will be popping up globally, took place in London, with a five-course feast created by Ollie Dabbous, mapping a gastronomic journey in celebration of the launch of new single malt Scotch whisky, The Singleton of Glen Ord 39-Year-Old.
The artwork created by the inaugural Course of a Feast is both a moving digital piece showing the bursts and contours of the guests' movements over the evening, as well as a still portrait that exhibits the evening in one layered composition. The artwork charts the journey of a feast, a decadent odyssey of flavour which reflects the maturation journey of The Singleton 39-Year-Old. Aged in a variety of casks which had previously held wines from the vineyards and Chateaux across Europe, the feast took us through these regions and then back to the Highland home of The Singleton at Glen Ord where the whisky was nurtured by Master of Malt for The Singleton, Maureen Robinson.
Ollie Dabbous, chef patron of Michelin starred HIDE London, took inspiration from these influences which helped shape the rare whisky, and together with Julien Sarrasin, his award-winning head sommelier, created a five course feasting menu paired with the finest wines and The Singleton Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. Julien used his intimate knowledge of and access to the incredible 6,500 strong library of Hedonism Wines, described as a museum of fine wine, for the pairing for the evening. The evening culminated in a celebratory tasting of The Singleton 39-Year-Old, which was paired with a specially invented dessert in tribute to the whisky, a millefeuille of blackberry and muscovado crumble, containing drops of the precious whisky within its many layers.
These individually sublime components, slowly crafted by experts, came together harmoniously to create an indulgent feast of taste and depth, enjoyed by guests including Charles Maclean, a leading whisky writer and leading world authority on the subject, Master of Malt Maureen Robinson, Head Sommelier at HIDE Julien Sarrasin and Diageo's Senior Global Brand Ambassador Ewan Gunn, who gathered together at Woods Quay, London's newest floating landmark and private space on the River Thames. The transient moments, expressions and movements of the guests throughout the convivial feast were captured by overhead cameras, creating a bespoke piece of artwork to be savoured long after the moment of the dining experience.
The Course of A Feast by The Singleton dining experiences will be popping up in countries across the globe, where guests will be taken on a sublime flavour journey, a feast where they discover true richness in each other's company, in an event which is then recorded in a beautiful artwork which they can cherish forever. To register your interest in attending one of these exclusive events, visit Malts.com.
Maureen Robinson, The Singleton Master of Malt said: "The Course of a Feast was an unforgettable experience to be a part of. To see the flavour journey of The Singleton 39-Year-Old, some of my life's work during my 40 years at Diageo, come to life and inspire the menu by Ollie Dabbous was incredible.
"The 39-year maturation journey of The Singleton 39-Year-Old was an epicurean exploration of the purposeful layering of texture and flavour, creating a topography of richness on the tongue. The artwork we created at The Course of a Feast was the perfect embodiment of this, as we mapped the interaction between one another to create a multi-layered one-of-a-kind piece of art. I will cherish the artwork we created forever as a memory of an outstanding evening, and of a special whisky we bring to the world."
Ollie Dabbous said: "The five-course paired dining experience is a physical manifestation of the flavour of The Singleton 39-Year-Old. When I first tasted The Singleton 39-Year-Old I was impressed by the layers of richness and boldness of the spirit. Blackberries and muscovado crumble come bursting onto the palate, which I honoured with the creation of a special millefeuille of blackberry and muscovado crumble."
Julien Sarrasin said: "As Head Sommelier at HIDE, working alongside Ollie, we work with exquisite flavours and pairings daily with rare fine wines. Meeting Maureen and delving further into the world of whisky was fascinating and it was a delight to taste the journey of this particular whisky, which was finished in casks that had previously held wine hailing from my home of Bordeaux."
This December, HIDE London will also be the first location in the world where The Singleton 39-Year-Old will be available by the dram for guests at the restaurant and bar to purchase and enjoy.
The Singleton 39-Year-Old is now available to purchase globally from selected retailers and Malts.com. The Recommended Retail Selling Price in GBP is £2,295 including UK Duty and Taxes and $2,680 excluding Duty and Taxes in USD.

The Macallan Strengthens Partnership with Le Clos in Dubai International Airport Through Customer Launch Event for The Anecdotes of Ages Collection
DUBAI, UAE, Nov. 29, 2021 - The Macallan and Le Clos have partnered to deliver a stunning launch event for a select group of Le Clos' closest customers in Dubai, to reveal The Macallan Anecdotes of Ages Collection at The Macallan Boutique by Le Clos.
The Anecdotes of Ages Collection is an extraordinary art and whisky collaboration with renowned British pop artist Sir Peter Blake. At the heart of the collection are 13 one-of-a-kind bottles of exceptional 1967 whisky. Each bottle features its own original Sir Peter Blake collage art on the label, detailing unique stories relating to The Macallan's history, community, and the beautiful natural landscape of The Macallan Estate.
Guests at the event were introduced to two of the highly sought-after bottlings from the collection – the Anecdotes of Ages: Down To Work Limited Edition and Anecdotes of Ages: An Estate, A Community and Distillery.
Anecdotes of Ages: Down To Work Limited Edition tells a very important story that reflects a milestone in the history of The Macallan: a time when the decision was made to continue using sherry seasoned oak casks in the face of pressure to compromise.
The original labelled bottle portraying this special story has been laid in The Macallan Archives, and digital replicas of this label are available as a limited edition with the same 1967 rich spirit and only 322 bottles available.
Anecdotes of Ages: An Estate, A Community and Distillery is a tribute to some of the colourful characters from The Macallan's past and present. It commemorates Sir Peter Blake's visit to The Macallan Estate on the legendary River Spey and features a label digitally designed by Sir Peter.
Building on the longstanding partnership between The Macallan and Le Clos, The Macallan Boutique by Le Clos in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport will be playing host to one of the 13 original bottles from the collection. Anecdotes of Ages: Journey to Market pays homage to the widespread travels of The Macallan as its reputation grew around the world. A specially commissioned window display is showcasing this extraordinary whisky.
Jeremy Speirs, Edrington Regional Managing Director Global Travel Retail, said, "The Anecdotes of Ages Collection is an incredible celebration of The Macallan's history and of the figures which have contributed to its outstanding reputation and heritage. Over recent years, Le Clos has been a key partner in The Macallan's growth trajectory in global travel retail, and we're proud to recognise this partnership by showcasing bottlings from the collection at our Dubai boutique."
Ben Odgers, General Manager, Le Clos, added, "With international travellers beginning to return to the skies, we're delighted to bring The Anecdotes of Ages Collection to life in our boutique. This builds on our unrivalled track record for offering whisky enthusiasts and collectors some of the rarest and most sought-after bottlings on the market."

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 23, 2021 - While the world continues to move closer to a new normal, the city of New Orleans has been hit especially hard over the past 19 months, with hospitality and military communities amongst those affected the most. To honor, celebrate and encourage these communities that serve us as they continue to battle the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Ida, Crown Royal teamed up with local NFL legends Drew Brees and Deuce McAllister for a special Night of Service, benefitting the Bastion Community of Resilience and Louisiana Hospitality Foundation.

In the spirit of friendly competition, Brees, who represented the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, and McAllister, who represented Bastion Community of Resilience, hosted a "battle" for donations on their social media channels and encouraged NFL fans to retweet their tweets to unlock additional donations to their respective charity partners. The donations are part of Crown Royal's season long "Kick off with Crown" program with a commitment (of up to $1 million) to serving those who serve us via the Crown Royal Generosity Fund (a donor advised fund).
"The community in New Orleans means so much to me, and I was proud to partner with Crown Royal to assist in giving back to them," said NFL legend, Drew Brees. "I love a little friendly competition, so from the social competition with Deuce to hanging out with hospitality workers and military personnel at the Generosity Hour, it was an amazing night of fun and service."
"I have seen first-hand the effects the pandemic and natural disasters have had on this place I call home, so to give back to the community with the Crown Royal Generosity Hour meant a lot to me," said NFL legend, Deuce McAllister. "It was everything that NOLA is all about: great drinks, food, music and giving back to those who need it."
In addition to the social competition, guests at the Generosity Hour were also able to unlock additional donations to the charities through scanning QR codes placed on footballs and other décor throughout the event. Each QR code resulted in an additional donation of $1. Through the Generosity Fund, Crown Royal paid tribute to the hospitality and military communities with a $25,000 donation to both the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and Bastion Community of Resilience as they continue their efforts to uplift their respective communities.
"Crown Royal put together the Generosity Fund to give back to the communities who need it most, and it's been an honor to see it come to life through Generosity Hours," said Nicola Heckles, Vice President of Crown Royal. "The hospitality and military communities of New Orleans have overcome adversity from the effects of the pandemic and Hurricane Ida, but there's still work to be done. Crown Royal is proud to partner with the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and Bastion Community of Resilience to see assistance go where it is needed."
Grammy-nominated and locally based musical group Tank and the Bangas were on-hand for a live performance while guests sipped on custom Crown Royal cocktails during the special Generosity Hour.

Old Tennessee Distilling Company Releases Limited-Edition Tennessee Butcher's® Bourbon
Sid's Select™ hits the market in honor of Sid Blalock's "seven-year dream."
KODAK, Tenn., Nov. 29, 2021 Old Tennessee Distilling Company has released Sid's Select™️, a limited-edition, Premium Tennessee Butcher's® Bourbon as the culmination of a seven-year dream. Sid's Select™ is made from a blend of malted barley, rye, and heirloom corn which is grown and ground locally in East Tennessee. Once the bourbon was determined ready, Old Tennessee Distilling Company hand selected ten white oak barrels and tempered the whiskey with pure English Mountain Spring water to create a 94-proof spirit with a vanilla-honey aroma and flavor notes of herbal sage, vanilla, toasted graham cracker, ginger and hints of cinnamon. After aging for five years, each bottle was labeled and filled by hand, bringing the seven-year dream to its long-awaited close.
In 2013, Sid Blalock and Kent Merritt, founders of Old Tennessee Distilling Co., began working on their dream to produce a high-quality premium Tennessee Bourbon that would be distilled locally utilizing locally sourced raw materials from Sevier County, TN. After navigating the roadblocks of being a start-up in the industry, they filled their first barrel in August 2016, launching one of the fundamental truisms of the whiskey industry — waiting. Sadly, Sid passed away before the bourbon had time to fully mature and mellow enough to release the final product. Determined to bring his vision to fruition, Sid's wife, Jo, continued working with Kent to turn the seven-year dream into reality. "I believe Sid would be proud of the bourbon that we produced," said Merritt. "I know I am."
This first release of Sid's Select™️ Butcher's® Bourbon will only be available for purchase on-site at Old Tennessee Distilling Company, 3605 Outdoor Sportsman Place, Kodak, TN 37764.

Dugan & Dame Releases Handcrafted Chocolate Bitters in Collaboration with Dewar's® Scotch Whisky
Level Up Your Classic Whisky Cocktails this Holiday Season
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 23, 2021 -- Just in time for the holiday season, Dugan & Dame has released limited edition bottles of hand-crafted chocolate bitters in collaboration with DEWAR'S® 15 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky. Helping cocktail enthusiasts level up their at-home mixology skills, the chocolate bitters are available on Dugan & Dame's website.
"Our chocolate bitters are the perfect addition to a complex old fashioned," said Angela Dugan, head dame at Dugan & Dame. "Since DEWAR'S talented master blender Stephanie MacLeod is also a woman," she continues, "I wanted to create a feminine-driven bitters that complements the masculinity of whisky, so I chose more delicate botanicals and rose to play with the subtle floral flavors in the DEWAR'S 15 Year."
Dugan also wanted to highlight one of her favorite South Florida artisans, so she tapped Delray Beach's imaginative 5150 Chocolate to source and roast Ghanese coco for the bitters. "We care about what goes into our products—the ones we make from scratch and the ones we procure from like-minded partners—because we care about what goes into our bodies and yours," said Dugan.
"We all know whisky and chocolate go well together, and when DEWAR'S gets its very own chocolate bitters from Dugan & Dame to add to the most famous whisk(e)y cocktail - the old fashioned, it's time to dance," said DEWAR's North America brand ambassador Gabe Cardarella. "Cocktails don't need to be complicated to be delicious, but using good quality ingredients certainly helps," he continued.

Introducing Johnnie Walker Masters of Flavour
Final in series of extremely limited edition Scotch celebrating the art of whisky making
LONDON, Nov. 22, 2021- TODAY, Johnnie Walker launches a new extremely rare Scotch celebrating the fine art of whisky making - Johnnie Walker Masters of Flavor.
This exceptional Scotch is crafted from the finest maturing whiskies in the Johnnie Walker reserves, all of the whiskies used to create Johnnie Walker Masters ofFlavorr are aged for at least 48 years and only 288 bottles will be released - an extremely limited run of an incredibly rare Scotch.
Johnnie Walker Master Blender Jim Beveridge says: "It is fascinating to craft a Scotch that pays tribute to each of the four main steps in whisky making - malting, distilling, cask maturation and blending - to shine a light on how each craft contributes something very special to the extraordinaryflavorss that Scotch has to offer, from grain to glass."
In one of his final releases before he retires at the end of the year, Jim brought together three masters of the whisky world who he has worked with over many years, Malt Master - Donna Anderson, Cask Master - James Carson and Distillation Master - Douglas Murray, to create something that paid tribute to the skill of whisky making.
"This incredible blend showcases how masters of the art of whisky making combine generations of Scotch knowledge and craftmanship with their own expertise of malting, distillation, cask maturation and, of course, blending, to create a truly exceptional Scotch."
Johnnie Walker Masters ofFlavorr is the third and final whisky in the Johnnie Walker Masters series of extremely rare Scotch.
The series includes last year's incredible Johnnie Walker Master's Ruby Reserve, a celebration of Jim Beveridge's 30 years working in whisky. Before that, the John Walker Masters' Edition, was a whisky crafted using Scotch aged for a minimum of 50 years from distilleries that were operational during the lifetime of Johnnie Walker founder John Walker. All three are presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter within a bespoke oak cabinet.
For Johnnie Walker Masters ofFlavorr, Jim worked closely with his team of expert whisky makers, to hand select fleetingly rare expressions from the iconic "ghost" distilleries of Glyn Albyn, Port Dundas, Brora* andGlenorey Royal, balancing them perfectly together with the iconic distilleries ofCameron bridgee, Blair Athol andDelphininee.
Jim adds: "By nurturing close relationships with malt, distillation, and cask masters throughout Scotland, a blend master contributes to creating a unique collaboration of craftmanship in service of making exceptional Scotch, these are relationships that we have nurtured through 30 years of working in whisky. It's ahonorur to pay tribute to those experts."
On the nose, Johnnie Walker Masters oFlavorur, has a soft and gentle smoke, reminiscent of seaweed and salty air, gives way to rich dried fruits. Notes of molasses linger with leather-bound books before smoke gently weaves back though the senses.
These aromas give way to rich fruiflavorsrs bursting with currants before a gentle spice starts to build on the palate. Cinnamon-infused apples combine with star anise, crushed peppercorn and warming oak embers, enveloped in waves of baked caramel and rich butterscotch before culminating in a gentle and warming smoke in the finish.
Johnnie Walker Masters OFlavorur has an ABV of 41.8% and a RRSP of GBP 20,000 in the UK (including duties and taxes).
* While a new, modern distillery has recently opened on the site of the old Brora distillery and is called Brora, the whiskies it will in time produce will be very different to those laid down decades ago in the original Brora Distillery that closed its doors in 1983.

Sagamore Spirit Releases 4-Year-Old Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey, Made Entirely in Maryland
A genuine taste of legendary Maryland rye available in limited quantities during the holiday season; milestone for Sagamore Spirit, eight years in the making
BALTIMORE, Nov. 18, 2021 Sagamore Spirit released its first-ever Bottled in Bond rye whiskey at 50% ABV (100-proof) made entirely at its Baltimore distillery and barrel-aged for four years at its nearby rickhouse. It marks a milestone for the brand, established nearly a decade ago with a mission to revive Maryland's centuries-old reputation for rye whiskey distilling.
Sagamore Spirit Bottled in Bond blends two straight rye whiskies, one with a high-rye mash bill, the other low-rye, adhering to the same proprietary recipe that has defined all of Sagamore Spirit's award-winning releases since 2016. The result is true to Maryland's style of rye, first enjoyed in colonial times: approachable, versatile, and notably complex. The final profile showcases flavors of rye spice, toasty caramel, and fruit and floral notes.
"Today marks an important moment for Sagamore Spirit, with proof of our original concept fully realized and now here for the tasting," said Brian Treacy, Sagamore Spirit's co-founder and president of distillery operations. "Bottled in Bond is a testament to our entire team's hard work, incredible talent and perseverance, a tribute to Maryland's legendary distillers, and one heck of an amazing rye whiskey."
A limited quantity of Sagamore Spirit Bottled in Bond is available across the country for an approximate retail price of $59.99, and at the brand's Baltimore waterfront distillery while bottles last.
Fans enjoyed an early taste of Sagamore Spirit Maryland Rye, with 4.5-year-old Penny's Proof
On November 13th, visitors to the distillery lined up for hours to purchase a three-pack of Penny's Proof: Sagamore Spirit's signature 83-proof rye whiskey, distilled and aged for 4.5 years in Maryland. It marked the brand's third annual, limited edition Penny's Proof release. Each has given fans, known as Whiskey Thieves, early tastes of Sagamore Spirit's now fully mature Maryland rye, first at 2.5 years of age (2019), and then 3.5 years (2020). Each three-pack of 200ml bottles has been available at the price of one penny, paying tribute to the distillery's gleaming copper still: one to sip, another to share, the third to savour.
Sagamore Spirit's Maryland-style rye was originally distilled by MGP, then expertly blended by Sagamore Spirit distillers to make the brand's proprietary, award-winning high rye-low rye mash bill. Over the next few years, as more Maryland-distilled rye fully matures, it will comprise a higher share of whiskey within Sagamore Spirit releases, before reaching 100% by 2025. Within another few years, Sagamore Spirit's rye whiskies will be almost entirely made with Maryland-grown grains. The brand is partnering with local farmers and growing its own rye and corn at Sagamore Farm.

About Sagamore Spirit
Inspired by the legacy of Maryland Rye and today's spirit consumer, Sagamore Spirit is driven to craft the world's best Rye Whiskey while strengthening our collective communities. Its award-winning five-acre waterfront distillery in Baltimore is reclaiming the city's rightful place in America's whiskey history, where storied distillers perfected rye whiskey for more than 150 years before Kentucky was founded.
Maryland Rye Whiskey was known to be full bodied yet notably more balanced than other regional rye styles, and Sagamore Spirit has picked up the torch. Its American Rye Whiskies have earned more than 100 awards internationally, including "World's Best Rye Whiskey" in 2019 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Sagamore Spirit's distillation team blends two different rye mash bills – a high rye and a low rye – and then adds pure Maryland limestone-filtered spring water, transported 22 miles from Sagamore Farm, to craft the brand's Signature 83-proof Maryland-Style Rye Whiskey.
