Minneapolis, MN (March 31,2020) – Drake’s Organic Spirits announced today that it anticipates donating up to one million 2 oz.  pouches of hand sanitizer to medical facilities, law enforcement personnel, EMTs and other first responders who answer emergency calls and place themselves in harm’s way.  The sanitizer will help provide critical protection against the coronavirus crisis that has crippled the country and the world.

Consumers and other businesses are encouraged to purchase Drake’s Organic Hand Sanitizer by visiting eachouncecounts.com.  For every ounce purchased, Drake’s will make a donation of an ounce to frontline workers fighting COVID-19.

Michter's and Philip Duff Donate $10,000 to COVID-19 Relief Campaign of the USBG National Charity Foundation

LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 19, 2020In these uncertain times, Michter's Distillery and Philip Duff want to support the bartenders and hospitality workers who have always supported them, so they have made a joint donation of $10,000 to the COVID-19 Relief Campaign of the United States Bartenders' Guild charity, the USBG National Charity Foundation.

Matt Magliocco, Vice President of Michter's, commented: "Amid this unimaginable situation, we are partnering with our friend Philip Duff to support the lifeblood of the beverage industry – hospitality professionals.  Philip recently did some consulting work for Martí Auténtico, a rum brand owned by our parent company, Chatham Imports.  With America's bars and restaurants now closing suddenly, Philip graciously suggested donating his fee towards the USBG's critically important Bartender Emergency Assistance Program.  We naturally agreed on the spot and have made this donation jointly.  We hope this small gesture will make a difference to the USBG Foundation's vital work to help our many mutual friends in the hospitality business.  We're both committed to supporting the industry for as long as this crisis continues."

(Honolulu, Hawai‘i, March 19, 2019) – This week Oahu-based KO‘OLAU DISTILLERY (makers of Old Pali Road Whiskey) made the decision to shift production to begin supplying hand sanitizer for critical services. KO‘OLAU DISTILLERY has the capability to legally distill alcohol and will shift production towards producing the base for hand sanitizer that will be provided free of charge to first responders, health workers, and essential civil service personnel. 
“We realized that we are in the unique position to be able to help our community in this way; we are able to both make Old Pali Road whiskey AND produce hand sanitizer that meets WHO standards so that we can help our greater ‘ohana through this unprecedented situation,” KO‘OLAU DISTILLERY CEO Eric Dill said. 
Inspired by mainland distilleries who are doing the same, the distillery's effort is amplified even further by Hawaii's dependence upon imports, especially during this crisis. According to Hawaii Department of Transportation, approximately 80% of all goods that are consumed by Hawaii’s residents and visitors are imported.
Dill anticipates providing a product as early as March 25, 2020. Kōkua Sun Care has also stepped up to assist with the initiative by donating empty bottles for some of the sanitizer.
“We are proud to see our local businesses stepping up to protect the community. Adding the production of hand sanitizer to KO'OLAU's operations is the right thing to do,” said Lieutenant Governor Josh Green, a practicing physician.

For this celebratory limited-edition, Jim, working closely with his team of whisky makers, has chosen whiskies from the 'ghost' distilleries of Cambus, Carsebridge, Pittyvaich and Port Ellen, all perfectly balanced with highly-aged expressions from Talisker, Royal Lochnagar, Glendullan and Cragganmore.

Jim said: "Every whisky that has gone into the creation of this new expression holds a special place in my heart. I worked at each of these distilleries during various points of my career and the flavours and smells of those whiskies transport me back to very happy times throughout my career at Johnnie Walker.

"The 'ghost' whiskies from Cambus, Carsebridge and Pittyvaich bring layers of rich fruit flavour. This exceptional whisky is presented in a beautiful, hand-crafted golden-red Baccarat crystal decanter. This emblematic colour - a tribute to Jim's ruby anniversary and a hallmark of Baccarat's most exceptional pieces - is the embodiment of unique craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation since the mid-19^th Century. Clear crystal is gradually fused with 24-carat gold powder at exactly 540°C to achieve the iconic golden red finish.
