Seagram's 7 Crown Launches The Inaugural National Dive Bar Day, Honoring Local Watering Holes Everywhere
NORWALK, Conn., June 20, 2018 The Dive Bar is an American institution: where long-lasting memories are created, where people-watching is imperative, and where the greatest stories and a come-as-you-are attitude, live. Seagram's 7 Crown will raise a glass to these historic hidden gems found across America, marking the first official National Dive Bar Day, fittingly taking place on July 7th, 2018 – in celebration of the quintessential Dive Bar drink, the 7&7.

These casual get-togethers will continue on July 7th in six other markets (Chicago, Denver, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Portland and St. Louis) to ring in the new holiday in the most diviest way possible.

First Michter's 10 Year Rye Release in Over a Year as Supply Shortages Continue
LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 19, 2018 Michter's Master Distiller Pamela Heilmann has approved the 2018 release of Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye. These barrels were selected from Michter's stocks of aging whiskeys by Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson, who assessed them with Ms. Heilmann.
Shipments of the 2018 release of Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye will begin shortly before the Fourth of July holiday as a shortage in supply of Michter's whiskeys continues. "We have been expanding our operations, but great whiskey takes time," commented Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco. "At Michter's we've made a conscious decision to continue to take the costly and time-consuming steps we do, rather than adopt practices that would increase our supply more quickly. Our team is committed to offering the highest quality whiskey possible, and we're grateful to everyone who has been loyal to Michter's as we have been working through these shortages."
Michter's Distiller and Vice President Production Dan McKee, an integral member of the distillery's tasting panel, had the opportunity to sample the 2018 release of Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye prior to its bottling, and he commented, "I'm excited about this 10 Year Rye release. It's a great representation of a Kentucky style rye at a really sweet spot in the maturation process. Pam and Andrea decided to bottle it at just the right point."
The suggested U.S. retail price per 750ml bottle of Michter's 10 Year Rye is $160.
Beyond its main distillery in the Shively section of Louisville, Michter's operations extend to two other sites in Kentucky. In Springfield, Michter's has begun farming estate grown grain on its 145-acre property, while in downtown Louisville, Michter's is planning to open its second distillery in the historic Fort Nelson building later this year. Fort Nelson boasts a prime location on West Main Street opposite the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory and Museum and on the same block as the Frazier Museum.

The result is a wonderfully rich Scotch with layers of sweet vanilla and ginger aromas, toffee and brown sugar notes and a whisper of signature smoke. Jack Daniel's Country Cocktails Celebrates LGBTQ Diversity with World's First Projection Mapping Showtruck
LYNCHBURG, Tenn., June 6, 2018 Jack Daniel's Country Cocktails will unveil the first-ever projection mapping showtruck during the LA Pride Festival in West Hollywood on June 9 and 10. The mobile interactive art project, titled "#flavorsofpride", will feature a 3-minute video show that celebrates the LGBTQ community's increasing diversity across genders, ethnicities, sexualities, religions and generations. Festival guests will also be invited to be part of the show by having their faces captured and integrated into the visual content. For those unable to attend LA Pride, Jack Daniel's Country Cocktails encourages supporters to celebrate LGBTQ diversity on social media by sharing their photos and stories using #flavorsofpride.
Projection mapping technology is a new art that takes ordinary objects and transforms them into visual experiences. The technique dates back to the late 1990s, where it was referred to as video mapping, spatial augmented reality, or shader lamps.
The #flavorsofpride projection mapping show will utilize two 3D-printed polygonal mannequins and three of Jack Daniel's signature wooden barrels as its primary canvases. These display surfaces have been custom-mapped to take viewers on a colorful journey that honors individuality and the modern LGBTQ experience. For the soundtrack, Jack Daniel's Country Cocktails has teamed up with LGBTQ singer/actress Mikalah Gordon (American Idol), to feature her latest single, "Cry Love".
The 2018 LA Pride Festival will mark Jack Daniel's sponsorship debut at the annual LGBTQ event. In addition to the showtruck, Jack Daniel's will also be serving Jack Daniel's Country Cocktails to guests 21 and over. Jack Daniel's Country Cocktails come in eight flavors: Jack Apple, Black Jack® Cola, Cherry Limeade, Berry Punch, Downhome Punch®, Lynchburg Lemonade®, Watermelon Punch and Southern Peach™.
