The KegWorks Store Announces First Local Tasting of Black Button Distilling

The KegWorks Store prides itself on offering its customers unique chances to enjoy some of the finest local drinking experiences around. In the past, they’ve hosted beer tastings from premium brewers like Big Ditch, Great Lakes, Southern Tier, and more, as well as cocktail tastings from the talented professionals at Vera and Fee Brothers.

Now, to continue that tradition, they’ve announced a very special evening with Black Button Distilling, wherein all interested patrons can sample world-class liquor from the first generation of legally distilled local spirits in over 80 years.

On Friday, January 30th, from 6pm - 8pm Rochester’s own Black Button Distilling will be live in the KegWorks Store sampling some of their handcrafted spirits for all of our thirsty patrons. They’ll be pouring tastings of their Apple Pie Moonshine, Citrus Forward Gin, and Little Barrel Bourbon for your enjoyment. This is the Buffalo debut of this emerging distillery that’s fast gaining a reputation for their perfectly balanced artisanal spirits.

“With our tastings, we like to make sure we’re offering our customers something truly memorable. We’ve done lots of great beers, some craft cocktails, and even spent an amazing night learning about Spiegelau beer glasses. That’s why we’re so excited to welcome Black Button Distilling to Buffalo. And trust me, you’re going to want to try that bourbon,” says David Rivers, KegWorks’ Founder and President.

For those patrons who don’t like the straight stuff, Black Button will also be using their liquor to mix up a couple of fresh cocktail samples that are sure to make your mouth water. They’ll even have a wide selection of their branded merchandise available for purchase so you can do your part to help support the booming local distilling scene.

The KegWorks Store encourages people to feel free to browse during the sampling. To celebrate this special occasion they’ll be running a 20% off all bar tools sale during the tasting.

“This is a great opportunity to try out some world-class liquor from a local distiller and stock up on bar tools like shakers, strainers, jiggers, and so much more, all at a great price,” says Trisha Charles, KegWorks VP of Product.
