About Matsui Shuzo and Matsui Whisky

Matsui Shuzo is the oldest corporation registered in Tottori Prefecture. The predecessor, named Ogawa Shuzo, was an old family that ran a sake brewery from the Edo Period (17-19c).

Kurayoshi distillery locates in Kurayoshi City in Tottori Prefecture. Surrounding by country side, the region has an abundance of fresh water, generously supplied by snowfall on the Daisen mountain range. The subtropical climate is partly infused by its proximity to the Sea of Japan.

Rather than merely relying on the taste of a few blenders, Matsui Shuzo asks hundreds of whisky enthusiasts and other professionals to try the whisky.

Paying close attention to their feedback is how Matsui Shuzo develops Matsui whisky.

The qualities that characterize Matsui whiskies not only include the shape of the copper pot stills, but the environmental conditions in which ageing takes place.

From testing storage conditions to experimenting with barrel types, we aren't afraid of innovation. Matsui Shuzo continues to strive to bring happiness to people through the whisky.

Michter's Master Distiller Dan McKee Releases 10 Year Rye

Michter's Master Distiller Dan McKee Releases 10 Year RyeLOUISVILLE, Ky., June 25, 2019 - In July, Louisville based Michter's Distillery will begin shipping its 2019 release of 10 Year Single Barrel Rye. Because Michter's continues to experience whiskey shortages, it is anticipated that this will be the only bottling of the distiller's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye this year.

This July release will mark the first release of whiskey by recently named Master Distiller Dan McKee. "In my years at Michter's, I've seen how incredibly focused our previous Master Distillers Pam Heilmann and Willie Pratt have been on waiting to release whiskey till it was just right," said McKee. "Working with our Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson, I will continue that tradition of only releasing whiskey that makes us extremely proud."

Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco commented, "Before he moved up to the position of Master Distiller, Dan did a fantastic job in the role of Distiller at Michter's and was a key member of our tasting panel. Having worked with Dan for some time now, I know that our distillery is in great hands."

The 2019 release of this 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye exemplifies the Michter's style of Kentucky rye. "Of course, the mashbills for our rye whiskeys include the distinctive rye grain by definition, but they also include a good amount of corn and malted barley resulting in a rich rye with layers of delicious flavor that complement the spice notes in the whiskey," said Andrea Wilson.

The suggested U.S. retail price per 750ml bottle of Michter's 10 Year Rye is $160.

Beyond its main distillery in the Shively section of Louisville, Michter's operations extend to two other sites in Kentucky. In Springfield, Michter's is farming estate grown grain on its 145-acre property, while in downtown Louisville, Michter's has its second distillery in the historic Fort Nelson building, which opened to the public in February of this year. Situated in a prime location on West Main Street opposite Louisville Slugger and on the same block as the Frazier Museum, Michter's Fort Nelson Distillery features the legendary pot still system from Michter's Pennsylvania. It also has educational tours with whiskey tastings and The Bar at Fort Nelson, which features classic cocktails curated by spirits and cocktail historian David Wondrich.

Michter's makes highly acclaimed, limited production whiskeys that are subject to allocation because demand has exceeded supply. Michter's is renowned for its single barrel rye, small batch bourbon, single barrel bourbon, and small batch American whiskey.  For more information, please visit www.michters.com, and follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

The Glenlivet® Unveils Second Mystery Edition, Enigma, And Challenges Enthusiasts To Crack The CodeNEW YORK, June 20, 2019 Today, The Glenlivet® introduces the brand's second mystery limited edition released with no tasting notes or cask information – The Glenlivet® Enigma. With a sleek, black bottle and brand new liquid, Enigma puts multiple senses to the test for whisky enthusiasts and crossword fans alike – rewarding those who can solve the puzzle

Carefully crafted by Master Distiller Alan Winchester, The Glenlivet mystery series first launched with the highly-coveted expression in 2018, The Glenlivet Code, to intrigue, challenge and surprise fans of Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

"The Glenlivet mystery series is an opportunity for the franchise to push the boundaries around product innovation, design and storytelling," said Sona Bajaria, Vice President of Marketing, The Glenlivet, Pernod Ricard USA. "By challenging consumers to guess the mystery liquid's taste, feel and finish – and then put that to the test with an interactive digital crossword puzzle – Enigma offers a vehicle for us to engage with a variety of consumers in a way that's reimagining Scotch whisky tropes."

The Glenlivet Enigma crossword puzzle allows players to digitally unlock tasting cues and redeem discounted shipping from ReserveBar on their next purchase by correctly answering three sets of challenging word puzzles. The Glenlivet Code Revealed in 2018
At the end of 2018, the mixture behind Code was finally revealed – a sophisticated Single Malt Scotch Whiskey matured in a mixture of America Oak barrels and selectively finished in ex-Canadian first fill Rye barrels.

Challengers of cracking the code for Code last year discovered tasting notes of baked red apple, creamy toffee and cinnamon, combined with delicate floral aromas and a touch of violet on the nose; fruity aromas of pears and juicy pineapple, followed by spicy flavors of sweet ginger, licorice root and subtle fresh mint leaves on the palate; and a long, fruity and refreshing finish.

Chicken Cock Whiskey Releases a Third Limited Run Bourbon: Beer Barrel Select

Chicken Cock Whiskey has released 1,800 bottles of Beer Barrel Select (SRP: $80.00/750mL), a blend of 1.5-11.5 year old Kentucky Bourbons finished in Walnut Brown Ale barrelsBARDSTOWN, Ky., June 20, 2019 Following in the footsteps of two award-winning limited releases -- the 160th Anniversary 8-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon (SRP: $100/750mL) and 10-Year-Old Double Barrel Bourbon (SRP: $250/750mL) -- Chicken Cock Whiskey has now released 1,800 bottles of Beer Barrel Select (SRP: $80.00/750mL), a blend of 1.5-11.5 year old Kentucky Bourbons finished in Walnut Brown Ale barrels.

Chicken Cock Whiskey has released 1,800 bottles of Beer Barrel Select (SRP: $80.00/750mL), a blend of 1.5-11.5 year old Kentucky Bourbons finished in Walnut Brown Ale barrels

This most recent limited release from Chicken Cock Whiskey -- one of the oldest American Whiskey brands, est. 1856 in Paris, Kentucky -- is the result of creative partnership, a hallmark approach of the brand and its parent company, Grain & Barrel Spirits. In the summer of 2018, six barrels that had held Chicken Cock's 10-Year-Old Double Barrel Bourbon were given to Goodwood Brewing in Louisville to finish their Walnut Brown Ale. Once finished, Goodwood Brewing returned those six barrels to Chicken Cock. Chicken Cock Master Distiller Gregg Snyder, working alongside O.Z. Tyler's Master Distiller Jacob Call, then filled them with a blend of 100% Kentucky Bourbon aged 1.5-11.5 years. The Bourbon was finished in the six barrels for six months before final blending and bottling, yielding a mere 1,800 bottles of this all-Kentuckycollaborative release.

Beer Barrel Select is full-bodied, with initial notes of butterscotch, caramel, and vanilla, followed by a hint of toasted oak, and then a sweet finish with nut and chocolate flavors. Never chill-filtered, Beer Barrel Select retains the flavors and slight haze of the Walnut Brown Ale. Chicken Cock's unique, Prohibition-era bottle and "sipping glass" lid complete the heritage bourbon experience.

  • Beer Barrel Select / 6 750mLs per case (6 barrels/1,800 bottles)
    • 45% ABV (90 Proof); SRP: $80/750mL
    • 100% distilled, aged, and bottled in Kentucky

About Chicken Cock Whiskey

Established in 1856 in Paris, Kentucky (ten years before Jack Daniels), Chicken Cock rose to fame as the house whiskey at the Cotton Club, one of the most legendary speakeasies during Prohibition. Known as "The Famous Old Brand" and "The Whiskey in a Tin Can," Chicken Cock was smuggled into the Club in sealed tin cans, then ceremoniously opened tableside. After Prohibition, the brand enjoyed a resurgent couple of decades before a distillery fire put it out of business for more than 40 years. In 2012, Matti Anttila, founder of Grain & Barrel Spirits, rediscovered the "Famous Old Brand" and set a goal of bringing it back to its Prohibition and pre-Prohibition glory. Led by Master Distiller Gregg Snyder, Chicken Cock works hand in hand with some of the best distillers in Kentucky, including Bardstown Bourbon Company, as a proud member of its collaborative distiller's program, as well as O.Z. Tyler in Owensboro, Kentucky for its limited release aging, blending, and bottling.

Alternative Rock Band The Kills And Seagram's 7 Crown Salute Dive Bars Across The Country With Re-Mastered Jukebox Tunes For National Dive Bar Day

Alternative Rock Band The Kills And Seagram's 7 Crown Salute Dive Bars Across The Country With Re-Mastered Jukebox Tunes For National Dive Bar DayNORWALK, Conn., June 13, 2019From your favorite casual dive to your neighborhood pub, Seagram's 7 Crown toasts watering holes across the country for its second annual National Dive Bar Day celebration on July 7. This year, the American whiskey is collaborating with indie rock duo, The Kills, to re-release two songs the band re-mastered for dive bar jukeboxes nationwide.  On July 7, dive bar goers can raise a glass to these beloved American institutions while enjoying The Kills' re-released versions of Blue Moon and Night Train, complimentary to consumers across targeted TouchTunes jukeboxes in honor of National Dive Bar Day.

Experience the interactive Multichannel News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/8560851-seagrams-7-crown-whiskey-the-kills-national-dive-bar-day/

The re-released versions of Blue Moon and Night Train were re-mastered specifically for TouchTunes dive bar jukeboxes, honoring the laid-back and often historic hidden gems where The Kills got their start.  Both songs will also be cut on a limited edition 7" vinyl record for the very first time in the U.S. and available at events on National Dive Bar Day in these seven cities: Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Jacksonville, FL; Nashville, TN; New York, NY; Sacramento, CA and Seattle, WA.

"Dive bars are about getting together with friends and enjoying great music over a simple, straightforward drink, like a 7 & 7," said Diageo Brand Director Jason Sorley. "We're honored to work with The Kills this National Dive Bar Day to celebrate our favorite dives and shine a light on what makes them so great. We hope everyone will join us in supporting their local hangout on July 7 so that dive bars everywhere can continue to thrive."

Seagram's 7 Crown started National Dive Bar Day last year, fittingly taking place on July 7 in honor of the quintessential dive bar drink, the 7 & 7.  National Dive Bar Day, which is officially recognized by the National Day Calendar, is part of the brand's year-round commitment to its Save the Dive Bar initiative.

"We're thrilled to collaborate with Seagram's 7 for National Dive Bar Day and give these songs new energy as a toast to dive bars everywhere. Blue Moon and Night Train were written in dive bars, so this seemed like a perfect tribute," said Alison Mosshart, lead vocalist for The Kills. "There's such a rich history and feeling of inclusiveness that has always attracted us to these types of places. We've seen some of our favorite spots close over the years, which is just another reason why Seagram's 7's mission to Save the Dive Bar really hit home," added lead guitarist for The Kills, Jamie Hince.

While they were recorded several years apart, both Blue Moon and Night Train were produced at Key Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan, where Mosshart and Hince spent time between sessions hitting up the local dive bar scene. Sonically, the two songs are very different, but the re-mastered versions bring them closer together, pairing two moments in time that were instrumental in the band's growth.

Seagram's 7 Crown is a carefully blended American whiskey aged in oak with a rich and casual history. The whiskey shares a storied past with dive bars, as both have been an integral part of American drinking culture. To learn more about National Dive Bar Day and the Save the Dive Bar initiative, adults 21 and older can visit seagrams7.com or follow the #NationalDiveBarDay conversation on social media. And, don't forget to head to your local dive bar on July 7 to responsibly enjoy a 7 & 7 and ensure all our favorite dive bars live to see another day.

East Tennessee Distillery Honors Heroes

GATLINBURG, Tenn., June 13, 2019 MoonShare, Sugarlands Distilling Company's give-back program, is recognizing local heroes from communities across the United States. From over 400 nominations, Sugarlands Distilling Company has selected thirteen heroes to participate in the voting round of their 2019 MoonShare - Honoring America's Heroes campaign. One deserving group of heroes will be celebrated during the weekend of the Sugarlands Shine 250 at Talladega Superspeedway in October.

Here is just one of the 13 outstanding stories of heroism: Meet the Shaw brothers, nominated by their father. Danny Shaw Jr. currently serves as Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper, while his younger brother, Bryan, serves for the Dallas County Community College District Police Department. Danny Jr. started out as a volunteer firefighter and truly enjoyed helping people. Bryan simply thought it would be something he would enjoy. Danny has served for 16 years total and Bryan a total of 7, they have been through a lot.

In July 2016, Sergeant Bryan Shaw was injured in the line of duty during a shooting in Dallas in which five police officers were killed. Later that year in November, Trooper Danny Shaw was shot while on assignment on the Texas-Mexicoborder. Since the shootings, both have been able to return to work. While they may not be able to return to the duties in which they performed before the shootings, they have been assigned to other duties.

Sugarlands is sharing stories from 12 other groups of heroes and is asking the public to vote for the group or individual they believe are truly America's heroes until June 28, 2019 and the winners will be announced around July 4th holiday. Beer Finished Whiskey is Foundation of Collaboration Between Indie Whiskey Producer, Oak & Eden, and Craft Brewer, Rahr & Sons

Beer Finished Whiskey is Foundation of Collaboration Between Indie Whiskey Producer, Oak & Eden, and Craft Brewer, Rahr & SonsDALLAS, June 12, 2019Dallas-based indie whiskey producer, Oak & Eden has announced the upcoming release of their third small batch creation, The Ale Series, a two-part product collaboration with Rahr & Sons
Brewery
(Fort Worth, TX) to create Rahr Soaked Malted Oak and Rahr Soaked Hopped Oak. As with all products in the Oak & Eden lineup, these collaborative expressions begin with Oak & Eden's fully aged whiskey before they are finished with their patented "spire" — a 5" long spiral cut piece of wood that finishes the whiskey in the bottle, as opposed to a secondary barrel. The Rahr Soaked Malted Oak consists of Oak & Eden bourbon infused with a heavily toasted American Oak spire soaked in Rahr & Sons Iron Thistle Scottish Ale. The Rahr Soaked Hopped Oak consists of Oak & Eden rye infused with a lightly toasted American Oak spire soaked in Rahr & Sons Dadgum IPA.

"This has been a collaboration like no other," says Joe Gillidenzopf, CEO of Oak & Eden, "Most people wouldn't think beer and whiskey would go hand-in-hand, but the unique combination of sweet, oaky notes coming from our whiskey, mixed with the depth and character of Rahr & Sons beers produce a rich sensation of whiskey on the palate with beer on the finish."

The Ale Series will be releasing in June 2019 and will be on the shelves early July in Texas and Oklahoma. To learn more, visit oakandeden.com/rahr.

Kentucky Peerless to Release First Bourbon in 102 Years

Kentucky Peerless to Release First Bourbon in 102 YearsLOUISVILLE, Ky., June 11, 2019 Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company announces the inaugural release of its first bourbon in 102 years. The release date to the public will be June 22, 2019, in limited quantities.

Kentucky Peerless Bourbon - Small Batch

After beginning barreling in March of 2015, the Taylor family has been patiently crafting one barrel at a time making fine rye and bourbon. Corky Taylor, fourth generation and CEO, has been breathing life back into his great-grandfather's legacy that originally started in 1889. Over 10 decades have passed since Peerless Bourbon has been sold and the Peerless four-year-old product will be the first Peerless Bourbon available without a prescription since Prohibition.

Standing true to what the first generation once started, the Taylor family has taken no shortcuts in making a quality product surpassed by none. With the exclusive use of sweet mash instead of sour, non-chilled filtration, barreling product at 107 proof and bottling it as a barrel strength whiskey, Peerless has carefully crafted an independent path that is here to stay.

Peerless Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey can be tasted and purchased after June 22 at the Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company located on 120 N. 10th Street in downtown Louisville and select accounts in Kentucky. The distillery is open to the public on Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Thursdays and Fridays until 7 p.m.). Be one of the first on June 22 to experience the limited release of Peerless' first bourbon.

About Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co.

The Peerless family's very first bourbon went into a barrel in 1889. They have since revived the craft in their own state-of-the-art distillery in the Bourbon District, where they use the finest ingredients. The Peerless family believes that patience builds character and fine bourbon and rye can never be rushed. All under one roof, the select Kentucky Peerless grains are milled, cooked, fermented, double-distilled and barreled as bourbon and rye.

Crown Royal Pushes The Boundaries Of Innovation With Launch Of Limited-Edition, Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished

Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished

GIMLI, Manitoba, June 6, 2019 The Crown Royal brand continues to push the boundaries of innovation with different flavor offerings and finishing techniques, most recently highlighted by the introduction of the newest addition to the Noble Collection, Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished. This limited-edition expression showcases Crown Royal Fine De Luxe, the standard of excellence for Canadian whisky, finished in new French oak barrels. The result is a whisky with captivating character, body and structure, that is still undeniably Crown Royal smooth.

Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished

The Noble Collection is a multi-award-winning series of whiskies that are released on an annual basis. Now in its fourth year, each creation has provided an opportunity to highlight the artistry and skill of the Crown Royal Master Distillers and Blenders, who are dedicated to their craft of creating extraordinary whiskies inspired by the brand's long and rich history.

"We're continuously in awe of our Master Distillers and Blenders' ability to surprise and delight with interesting takes on whisky, while still maintaining the premium standards of excellence that distinguishes Crown Royal," said Nicola Heckles, Director, Crown Royal at DIAGEO North America. "Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is an example of our commitment to innovation and being unabashedly unafraid to try new things we anticipate people will enjoy."

The famed French oak used in Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is sourced from the renowned Vosges region in France, known for its meticulously manicured forests and ideal climate that creates the tightest grain to helps impart subtle flavors and aromas of vanilla and baking spices into the whisky. Once harvested, the oak is open-air seasoned for two years to transform the wood in order to set the stage for the final two-step fire toasting. These precisely toasted new French oak barrels allow the brand to marry Crown Royal Fine De Luxe with rich dark notes of caramel, vanilla and fruit along with a body and structure that can only be achieved through French oak.

"We are honored to share this exceptional whisky and grateful we were given creative liberty to do so.  Our ability to elevate Crown Royal Fine De Luxe using innovative materials to bring out new flavors was an exciting experience for this team of veteran blenders," said Mark Balkenende, Master Blender for Crown Royal. "We are always looking for ways to experiment with the brand's flavor profile and with Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished, it is evident how intentional changes in barrel selection and aging can enhance the flavor while elevating the signature smoothness of Crown Royal Fine De Luxe."

Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is packaged in a sleek bottle with a crystal-cut style base and a resealable cork top. The canister is a rich, deep purple to match the classic Crown Royal regal purple, and it is encased in the brand's iconic purple bag with gold accents, making this whisky the perfect gift to commemorate special occasions and holidays, including Father's Day. Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is 80 proof, 40% Alc/Vol and will be available in limited quantities nationwide at the suggested retail price of $59.99 for a 750 mL bottle.

Whether sipped neat or on the rocks, however you choose to enjoy the rich taste of Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished, please do so responsibly.

Introducing The Tyrconnell® 16 Year Old Oloroso & Moscatel Cask Finish Limited-Edition Irish Whiskey

Introducing The Tyrconnell® 16 Year Old Oloroso & Moscatel Cask Finish Limited-Edition Irish WhiskeyCHICAGO, June 5, 2019 The Tyrconnell® emerges victorious once again with the debut of its oldest and most unique cask-finished expression to date, The Tyrconnell® 16 Year Old Oloroso & Moscatel Cask Finish Single Malt Irish Whiskey. Available globally in six countries, it will be released to select U.S. markets in June with a suggested retail price of $100.00 (750ml). Only a limited quantity has been produced due to its age and unique finish.

"We are thrilled to release The Tyrconnell 16 Year Old Oloroso & Moscatel Cask Finish, as the elegant expression demonstrates our commitment to innovation and quality," said John Cashman, Global Irish Whiskey Ambassador for the Kilbeggan Distilling Company. "Building on the success of our award-winning 2017 and 2018 Tyrconnell limited releases, we continued to experiment with different aging techniques and we're intrigued by these distinctively seasoned Spanish casks. The result is a completely unique – and delicious – Irish whiskey unlike any other."

The only Irish whiskey of its kind on the market, this expression was aged for 16 years in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels before an additional maturation in wine casks from the Andalucia region of Southern Spain, which were initially seasoned with Oloroso sherry before a second seasoning with Moscatel wine. The result has a distinctive sweetness and roundness – honeysuckle, champagne and jasmine notes, with a nutty and caramelized taste that precedes a warm and dry finish with hints of grapefruit.

The Tyrconnell is made of just three ingredients – the finest Irish barley, yeast and pure Irish spring water. Produced in traditional pot stills, it is one of a rare few Irish whiskeys that utilizes double distillation, allowing more of the rich and natural flavors to remain. This creates a whiskey that carries a delicate flavor atop a creamier, more viscous presence.

The Tyrconnell distilling team began experimenting with different finishing techniques after discovering how amenable their light, soft and fruity whiskey was to a cask finish. In 2007, they released its first trio of cask-finished expressions: The Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish, The Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Port Cask Finish and The Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish, all permanent expressions in the brand's portfolio (as well as The Tyrconnell Original which is aged in ex-bourbon casks only). In March 2018, The Tyrconnell 15 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish debuted as a special limited-edition.

TASTING NOTES: THE TYRCONNELL 16 YEAR OLD OLOROSO & MOSCATEL CASK FINISH

PROOF

46% ABV

AROMA

An effervescent combination of honeysuckle, jasmine and brazil nut envelop the malty peach and ripe red apple skin aromas, with minerality reminiscent of Champagne

TASTE

Minerality continues with a medley of nuts and gooey dark chocolate – caramelized sugars and honeycomb combine with the malt spice for added complexity

FINISH

Dry and tannic as the oak becomes more prevalent but not before citrus and grapefruit leave a distinctive zest at the back of the mouth

The best way to enjoy this whiskey is on the rocks or neat to showcase the fruity aromas on the nose, its sweet, nutty flavor and spicy finish.

The legend of The Tyrconnell was born in 1876, when R. M. Delamere entered his beautiful chestnut colt, Tyrconnell, in the 10th running of the prestigious National Produce Stakes Horse Race at The Curragh, considered Ireland's most important thoroughbred racecourse. A short thoroughbred with the odds stacked against him – he was far from the 'jolly,' or favorite to win on this fateful day –  but fortune found favor that afternoon as Tyrconnell crossed the finish line in first place, besting horses and oddsmakers alike on his march to victory.

The against-all-odds victory captured the imagination of the assembled crowd, which included the Watts, an Irish race horse loving family who had built a thriving whiskey distillery. They chose to commemorate Tyrconnell's win by creating a limited edition, small batch whiskey that bore the name of their local champion. Although the Watts family intended to make The Tyrconnell just once, it ended up becoming their most popular whiskey, even claimed to have been the best-selling Irish whiskey in America before Prohibition.

About The Tyrconnell® Single Malt Irish Whiskey
The Tyrconnell is produced at the Cooley Distillery, nestled in the foothills of the Cooley Mountains in County Louth. The Cooley Distillery, part of the Kilbeggan Distilling Company, has been the driving force behind the Irish Single Malt evolution. Most Irish malt whiskey has traditionally found its way into blended whiskeys, thus it is rare to find Irish malt whiskey bottled in its single malt form. The award-winning Tyrconnell portfolio includes The Tyrconnell, The Tyrconnell 16 Year Old Limited Edition, The Tyrconnell 15 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish Limited Edition and a trio of 10 Year Old cask finished expressions: Madeira Cask, Sherry Cask and Port Cask. The Cooley Distillery also produces the award-winning Kilbeggan Blended Irish whiskey, Kilbeggan Single Grain and Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish whiskey. Endless West's Molecular Whiskey, Glyph, Launches In Detroit, Michigan through Great Lakes Wines & Spirits

DETROIT, June 6, 2019 Endless West, the company creating spirits molecule by molecule in less than 24 hours in San Francisco, announced today that their product Glyph, the world's first molecular whiskey, will be available in Michigan through their exclusive partner, Great Lakes Wines & Spirits.

Glyph is the first whiskey ever to be made at the molecular level without any barrel aging. The company uses analytical chemistry to identify the specific molecules responsible for the unique flavors, aromas, and characteristics of various spirits, sources them pure from more efficient sources in nature (like other plants, fruits, and yeasts), then uses these molecules — or 'notes' — as building blocks to create their own original profiles of whiskeys.

"We're making exceptional spirits in new and unexpected ways," said Co-founder & CEO Alec Lee. "As a Michigan native, I'm incredibly excited about launching our whiskey in a city near to my heart. Detroit has always been a place where art and culture push boundaries and that's exactly what we're doing with Glyph. There will always be a place for tradition; I'm excited to be able to tell a story that hasn't been told before."

There are a number of advantages to Endless West's methods compared to conventional spirit production, including greater control and precision over the overall product experience, speed of new product development, and more efficient production methods. Where the typical distillation and barrel aging process for whiskey can take years to decades, Endless West's team of scientists and spirits specialists can develop new variations in just days. This enables them to continuously refine the taste and quality of their whiskeys by incorporating consumer and trade feedback and preferences into their process.

Endless West has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Vice News, Fortune, and Forbes, and has been awarded several medals in some of the world's most celebrated blind competitions, including a gold award in the 2019 San Diego Wine and Spirits Challenge, and three silver medals from Tastings by the Beverage Testing Institute in 2018, San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019, and the Wines & Spirits Wholesalers of America's Tasting Competition in 2019. The company currently self distributes in Northern California and Metro New York through MHW, Ltd. and is launching in Detroit this week through Great Lakes Wines & Spirits. Glyph whiskey currently retails between $35 - $50.

About Endless West

Endless West is a San Francisco based spirits company using innovative methods to create molecular spirits and wines. Its first product, Glyph, is the first whiskey ever to be crafted note by note, using molecules (or flavor and aroma notes) extracted in their purest form from more efficient sources in nature. Unlike conventional whiskeys, Glyph is made without aging or barreling — which means significantly less wood, water and land is used in its production process. Founded in 2015 by scientists Alec Lee and Mardonn Chua, and sommelier, Josh Decolongon, the company is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has raised nearly $13 million in total funding to date. The Results Are In: American Whiskey Drinkers Prefer The Taste Of Jim Beam Black ($23) Over One Of The Most Expensive And Rare Bourbons In The World

American whiskey drinkers prefer Jim Beam Black over one of the most expensive and rare bourbons in the world.CHICAGO, June 5, 2019  When considering a bottle of bourbon for an upcoming Father's Day gift, recent survey results prove that taste means more than hype. American whiskey drinkers prefer Jim Beam Black®, which retails for $23, over one of the most expensive and rare bourbons in the world. Today, Jim Beam® Bourbon announced results from an independent nationwide blind taste test that show drinkers of American whiskey prefer the taste of Jim Beam Black® over one of the most iconic bourbons that can cost up to $3,000; respondents also said Jim Beam Black tasted smoother.

American whiskey drinkers prefer Jim Beam Black over one of the most expensive and rare bourbons in the world.

The Beverage Testing Institute (BTI), an independent, third-party alcohol beverage research firm, conducted the blind taste test in multiple markets across the country. Participants tasted two samples: one being a $23 bottle of Jim Beam Black and the other an iconic bourbon with a limited production that can cost up to $3,000.

"For 224 years, my family has focused on making great bourbon, so people can enjoy quality time with their loved ones, especially on a day like Father's Day," said Fred Noe, Jim Beam's seventh-generation master distiller. "We like to let our bourbon speak for itself, so we're not really surprised by the results of this taste test, which proves that bourbon can be really special and affordable at the same time."

Jim Beam Black is a premium bourbon with a flavorful character made to be sipped and savored and was rated the No. 1 bourbon in the world after winning the Bourbon Trophy, the highest accolade awarded in the bourbon category at the 2016 International Wine & Spirits Competition. The extra time Jim Beam Black spends in rackhouses results in a perfectly aged liquid containing a full-bodied flavor with smooth caramel and warm oak notes.

Not only is Jim Beam Black the preferred choice, but it also has a suggested retail price of $22.99, making it a more accessible option for fathers to enjoy this Father's Day. Gift-givers can also complement their bottle purchase with Jim Beam Black swag, which can be purchased on the e-store at Store.JimBeam.com.

Jim Beam Black is available at select retailers nationwide and can be purchased online at Drizly.com or through the Drizly app.
