Barton Bourbon Expanding

From Shanken:

Sazerac Co. has purchased a 300,000-square-foot warehouse in Bardstown, Kentucky to expand its Barton Bourbon brand. The facility will become the new distribution center for the brand, with storage capacity of about 1 million cases. Financial terms of the purchase weren’t disclosed. Barton’s current distribution center, which has only about one-third the capacity of the new one, is located on the same property as the company’s Bardstown distillery. When the transition to the new warehouse is made, the old facility will be repurposed in connection with the bottling operations. Sazerac purchased the Barton brand and the Barton 1792 Distillery from Constellation as part of a $334 million deal in 2009, and has since added a visitor center as well as additional bottling tanks and bulk storage.
